Welcome

Well another year gone by and we are are back to bull sale write ups, including the welcome for this years bull sale I think back on the year I think there is nothing more memorable than the cattle sky high cattle market! The cattle market is sky rocketing with never foreseen prices and heavy weight weaning calves are bringing on top dollar at the auction marts, now is the time to sell off the old bulls for the same prices that you bought them and get in on new gentics and refill the bull battery at your operation, With that said I’d like to welcome you all to the 15th annual K-Cow bull sale and also would like to put out a huge thank you for Kevin and Janice Wirsta for allowing me to continue the consignment into this bull sale. I’ve been here helping manage the K-Cow herd along with my herd at my own operation 5 minutes down the road.
But let’s just specify now on the red bulls and the two BLACK RED CARRIER bulls in this years bull sale, first get to explain the elephant in the barn. Yes there is only 5 bulls this year, no I didn’t sell out but are doing a transition 2026 bull sale year with moving the winter calving herd into the spring to provide coming 2 year old bulls and more into the fall to provide more long yearling bulls. So that being said this years offering might be small but worth the time and investment into your operations.
There is a great selection of heifer bulls and power herd bulls with exceptional gentics, epds and phenotype. All bulls are bred for performance, longevity and with calving ease in mind no matter if your looking for heifer bull for sleep easy calving or the performance bulls to add more power and replacement value back into your herd. I believe there is a bull for everyone in this pen.
I’d like to invite you to stop in and view the bulls anytime prior to the sale, or check the bull sale videos online. If your unable to attend the sale in person, please don’t hesitate to contact myself or Kevin to discuss your needs on ANY OF THE BULLS. Hopefully you can make the sale Saturday, March 21 at the K-Cow Sale Barn. Hope to see you there and hot lunch will be waiting for you at noon.
Best Regards, Cole Dodgson

45N is a sale highlight and a heifer that catches your eye. Pretty, balanced, strong topped, and square hipped, she’s loaded with body and volume. From a cow family that consistently produces cattle of the same quality, clean and extended front ends, a maternal sweep to the belly, near-perfect udders, and true femininity. We used a maternal brother to 45N’s dam on all our heifers last spring, and we couldn’t be happier with how his calves are developing, 45N is a perfect example of that consistency and quality.
