We are thrilled to welcome you to our 13th annual bull sale, an event made even more special as we are bringing the sale home to our farm for the first time—a long-held goal since day one. This year’s group of bulls stands out for its exceptional consistency in both type and quality, representing the best we have ever offered.
We continue to focus on strategic selection, choosing only the highest quality bulls, whether Fullbloods, Reds, Blacks, or Charolais. Our approach combines the use of top walking herd sires and exclusive AI sires, resulting in a deep and impressive set of bulls. This dedication reflects our unwavering commitment to raising cattle that meet the needs of our commercial customers, who have always been—and will continue to be—our primary focus.
Our bulls are backed by cows known for their easy-doing nature and outstanding functionality, with particular attention paid to udder and foot quality. To ensure optimal development, the bulls are fed a high-forage TMR diet including silage, hay, and Country Junction bull developer pellets.
We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has supported us throughout the year. From providing fresh, hot meals to assisting with fitting, photography, and catalog design, your contributions have been invaluable in helping us achieve our goals and ensure the success of our program.
Thank you to our past customers for your continued support over the years. It is an exciting time in the cattle business, and working with great customers like you makes it all the more special. We sincerely appreciate your trust and support as we move forward together.
Our bull pens are open for viewing at any time, and we encourage you to visit the farm so we can help you select the bulls that best suit your needs. We collaborate closely with the Borhson Marketing team year-round, who help us advance our genetics and breeding programs. We are also proud to work with the respected teams at Provost & Vermilion Livestock, known for their professionalism and strong reputation in the cattle industry. Both teams are very familiar with our program and are available to provide information or assistance with your bull purchase.
If you are unable to attend in person, the sale will be broadcast live on DLMS. We invite you to join us for refreshments and bull viewing the afternoon before the sale, and/or come March 3rd for dinner at noon and our 13th annual bull sale. Hope to see you there!
Byron,
Bernice, Wyatt & Shelby

This year we made the decision to better help our customers make their bull selection a little easier. We 100K tested all the sale bulls. What does that mean to you, well here is the Coles notes version. All of the bulls are now sire verified so now you will be able to match any of our bulls offspring by a simple tissue or hair test. The biggest benefit to our customers though comes in the Enhanced EPDS. By doing this we have increased the accuracy of our bulls epds as if they already have 25 calves born to them. Calving ease, birth weight, weaning weight, and docility epd’s are all at the equvilant of 25 progeny already born, while ones like Stayability, Marbling, and Back Fat are in the 10-15 progeny already born.
We feel this will help you to select the bulls best suited for your operations needs with the added bonus of sire verification being done.

Johnson Ranching is a family ran operation providing the industry with some of the best Charolais and Simmental genetics you will find across North America. They annually assemble a uniform set of bulls in 4 different breeding lines with red, black and fullblood Simmental along with the Charolais. Year after year, the impressive lineup of repeat customers from outstanding operations pack the sale building to purchase Johnson Ranching genetics, a true testament to the people and their product. This year for the first time, we are excited to welcome you to the ranch, near Amisk, AB for the 2026 Bull Sale!!
The Simmental offering this year is as consistent and deep as ever before with more red and black purebred bulls than usual. The depth of quality is commendable and is backed by some of the most sought after genetics in the entire breed. Be sure to check out the uniform set of sons by the popular Advantage herdbull who walks right here at Johnson Ranching. The red and black bulls represent some of the most new and proven ai sires and also walking bulls from that same program. These are real world Simmental Beef Bulls with do-ability, eye appeal and strong maternal characteristics. The Charolais division is built off some of the best walking bulls the Johnsons can acquire, and they certainly don’t hold back when it comes to sourcing the best they can. These are big, rugged, hairy, chunky beef bulls that will add pounds to your calf crop and positivley impact your bottom line. The two breeds and 1 mutual goal with them is simple, create the best possible product they can with little to no guess work for you, their valued customer. Rest assured when you purchase a Johnson Ranching herd bull, they have taken every measure seriously in the steps to get you a bull to select on sale day.
Not only are we proud to stand behind this exciting set of bulls, we are proud to stand side by side with the Johnson family. They are some of the real good, hard working folks in the business. Be sure to make plans to tour the bull pen anytime prior to sale day and then be with us on March 3rd, on the ranch, for this 13th annual event!! If you are unable to attend, please don’t hesitate to give any of us listed from BMS a call as we would be happy to assist in answering any questions you may have and represent your absentee bidding. We hope to see you sale day!!
Best
Regards, The Bohrson Marketing Team

HOMO POLLED DILUTER FREE
Here is the most intriguing herd bull prospect we have ever raised. Dark red and solid marked right to his big dark black hooves. He has lots of hair and is extremely loose made and packed full of red meat. His dam WJS Hanna 83H needs no introduction as she has 3 sons that have led off our catalog 3 of the last 4 years. Hanna is a beautiful uddered cow with excellent feet. She has a full sister that was purchased by Rendevous Farms who at their recent dispersal was their high selling female. The homework is done here with the quality and consistency of Hanna and then adding the great Emma cow on the top side, this guy is truly maternally stacked.

The moment we saw Advantage in Maxwell’s bull pen the fall of 2021 we knew that he was the polled bull we have been looking for. When the hammer fell at their bull sale one of the deepest, softest heavy muscled polled fullblood bulls we have ever seen was headed to his new home at Johnson Ranching with a $110000 price tag. We decided to keep him very exclusive and only sold a very limited amount of semen. With every calf crop Advantage sires his worth rises exponentially. We are very excited for his sons that are going to be standouts in this year’s bull sale. The heifers are equally as exciting. To date his calves come out real easy, they are dark red, solid coloured and they all have nice temperament’s.

■ HOMO POLLED DILUTER FREE

A pair of flush mates that Wyatt was able to purchase at NYR a couple of years back. The NGDB Helena’s have hit the fullblood division running and with lots of excitement. Known for their presence and power. We have admired the Helena’s as they’ve gone through the FNL ring, so much so that Wyatt purchased a full sib to Helena 264K this last December. The cross with Advantage is as exciting as it gets.
These bulls demonstrate exceptional Homo Polled genetics, combining both power and strong maternal traits. Their breeding potential stands out, making them a valuable addition to any herd. With careful selection and proven lineage, buyers can feel confident—there is no need for guesswork, as the groundwork has already been done to ensure quality and consistency in these animals.

■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ The pen heavy weight for the class of 2026! Maybe it’s his overall size, but when walking through the pen it’s hard to not keep your eye on this guy. Being deep as they come and with a great coat of dark red hair, also being off a 2nd Calver it’s hard to not admire this guy and the job his mom did. A not so little package of all the fullblood herd bulls who have walked here; Advantage, Sugar Ray and Total Value. This is another bull we highly regard.
■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ Novicane is an impressive individual. Extremely loose hided in a very attractive powerful package. He boasts a 10 CE and with his small smooth head he will calve nicely for a performance-oriented bull. His Outlook dam is the current record holder here for ROI. Hard not to love this bull and he will be very popular sale day.
■
■ WJS Napolean 69N is a Homo Polled, long-bodied bull sired by Advantage, bringing together a pedigree that is truly stacked with quality genetics. His lineage features influential sires such as Reputation, Imax, Raptor, and Laramie, each contributing to his overall potential. For those familiar with our program over the years, it is worth noting that the dam of WJS Napolean 69N is a full sibling to both WJS Erika and WJS Eliza. These two cows have already established themselves as significant producers within the fullblood segment, making this bull a standout offering with the backing of proven maternal strength.

■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ This bull represents another dependable offering sired by Advantage, with the signature goggled eye markings and exceptional pigmentation. These traits contribute to both visual appeal and breed consistency. The dam of this bull has demonstrated remarkable productivity, consistently raising offspring that meet standards for quality. The sons and females from her lineage have been successfully placed into a variety of commercial and purebred herds.

■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ Another great coloured Advantage son coming off a top producing cow for Wyatt. The SVS/RUST Honey Bee 874F was a pickup through FNL back in 2018, and has worked her magic here. Unfortunately, this will be the last of her natural born calves but, with some daughters here in the herd, the Honey Bee 874F legacy will live on. Back in 2024 we sold a full brother for 30,0000 to Brian Miller and Mavv Farms, and a maternal sister to JS Simmentals, and her bull calf born in 2022 to Dylan Laurenceson.

■ HOMO POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ Great mobility and tracks himself well
■ Sits in top 10% of the breed in WWT and YW T
■ Dam is a dark red Hellz Belz daughter
■
■ This Advantage bull calf comes from a BLL Kalibre daughter that Wyatt acquired from Starwest Farms several years ago. He is a moderately framed bull, with maternal siblings sold to Grassy Flat ranch and Beechnoir Land and Livestock

■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ Easy going Advantage son with adequate depth.
■ Dam WJS 515C, is a quality donor of ours that goes back to a cornerstone female in our program, BEE 323A (mom cried when BEE 323A came up open, some cows just hold a special place and will be greatly missed.) WJS 515C has strong feet and a highquality udder, making her an excellent cow to feature during summer tours.

LOT 14 & 15
■ A set of twins with Lot 14 being Polled and Lot 15 Homo Polled. Both are diluter free.
■ Recently sold a full sister at the Country Classic to the wonderful folks at Schipper Farms.
■ Best of Both Worlds with Lot 14 coming to you with a lot more depth, power and hip and Lot 15 being similarly shaped but a little more moderate framed and smoother built shoulder.
■ Dam is a “ROBB” daughter who has left us tremendous daughters here, working hard.
■ Keep these 2 guys in mind if you’re looking to retain heifer replacements.

■ POLLED
■ Nuuuge! Like Nugent Hopkins being on the Oilers for a lifetime now, this guy comes from the oldest cow on the farm Lone Stone Ms Adonison18Z and one of our fullbloods that got us started in the purebred business way back then. This will be her last representation for sale for us, but was still going strong with great feet and mobility and a great udder at the age of 13 years old. Who doesn’t want to add longevity and fertility to their herd.

■ POLLED DILUTER CARRIER
■ This bull calf, born in mid-February, displays presence and good carriage.
■ Long ribbed with thickness, mass and shape.
■ His Dam is a cherry red fullblood cow, who carries that colour all the way down to her hoof and she just dropped us a Crimson Tide son who looks exciting! 2027 sale feature?
■ HOMO POLLED DILUTER
■ Lot 18 is a Homo Polled fella that comes from one of Wyatt’s more prominent cows, WJS 828F. A cow that did a wicked job whether it be a bull calf or a heifer calf. Wyatt’s luck sucked this year as he lost WJS 828F late this summer (hence the name “No More”). This gave this guy a little set back from the rest of his buddies who had their moms all summer long. With a great disposition and his genetic package, once “No More” reaches his full maturity, this will be one bull you’d be happy you bought. Last year his full brother was a second to Manfredi to lead of our bull sale, getting sold to the good folks at Fallen Timber Farms. The depth of quality WJS 828F had was evident in having 2 maternal sisters sold through the Country Classic sales, one going to Robb Farms and the other to Beechinor Bros. This guy could be a potential sale day sleeper pick, so keep your heads up and stay alert.

■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ If your goal is outstanding females, Lot 19 is an excellent choice.
■ This bull is the result of a strategic mating, being an embryo calf from our own WJS 939G cow paired with Advantage. He is a full sib to our high seller in 2024.
■ WJS 939G is a beautiful cow, notable for her strong feet and an impeccable udder. With this pedigree, Lot 19 offers the potential to produce quality females, continuing the maternal production of his dam.

■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ Co owned with Red Top Livestock
■ We bought the lead off fullblood, bred heifer, together with Red Top Livestock at the Evolution sale in Lloydminster. She came from the outstanding team and well-known breeding program at Crossroad Farms.
■ Onboard was a wonderful bull calf. He is in the Top 10% for calving ease, leading him towards being a calving specialist.
■ His dam Lustre 36L is turning into a wicked cow, with a 5 Star udder on her and a super quiet disposition. She will be joining our donor program very shortly here in the future, we are excited to see where her new progeny will lead.

■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ Just how you want them made! Easy calving and tons of performance.
■ Mom, WJS 312L is an Advantage first calver, he star ted with a birthweight of 90lbs and has continued growing to hit 1500lbs a year later!
■ Big hipped and very well structured this bull comes with the complete package who we highly regard.
■ WJS 312L, comes from the same cow family as Lot 12. (WJS 515C, BEE 323A). 312L has just calved a Crimson Tide heifer calf as Wyatt is writing this, leaving this cow line strong here at home.
■ POLLED DILUTER FREE
■ Heifer Bull prospect! Navigator is a Crossroad Pilot son who is a heifer bull specialist that we used and are very pleased on how easy these calves came out and how they grew. With that, his Dam is a Battle Cry who has been used industry wide for their calving ease. CE on the top and the bottom here.

HOMO POLLED
■ One of the three reds in this year’s selection.
■ Long spined, deep bodied, very well built and with a birthweight that’s very workable.
■ Dam is a red white-faced Sugar Ray daughter
■ Although we rarely work with the red side of the industry, when a few are selected for sale, there’s a clear reason they’re included in the lineup on sale day.

■ As we have said before we don’t have many Reds, but the ones we do bring to sale day have a presence of their own. Another bull from Wyatt’s herd. “Discharged Weapon” comes along with a very quiet demeanour and tracks himself extremely well. The cow WJS 931G gave us our high selling black bull back in the 2024 sale.
■ POLLED
■ Our feature red bull this year!
■ “Nuclear Weapon” is a bull we’ve admired since birth. His dam always brings the heat for us and mixing that with Lethal Weapon was a no brainer, and the results show!
■ With above-average scores in 11 of 13 EPD categories, plus excellent shape, performance, and power, this is likely our best Red Bull to date.

■ HOMO POLLED HETERO BLACK
■ Notorious is a bull that we were excited about as soon as it hit the ground. We were fortunate to get a semen package on the $120,000 Ultra Barlee Lethal Weapon and we knew this was a must match to Wyatt’s black donor cow IPU Uptown girl 18F. As you flip through the catalogue, you’ll see she raised Route 66 who has 11 sons in this sale. A powerful cow whose lineage is highly regarded here at the farm. 29N comes with a great set of wheels on him and an awesome coat of hair. This is a sale day feature bull who has found lots of friends in the bull pen this year.

■ “Nature Boy” and “Jazzman” are a remarkable pair of flush mates that we purchased from NYR. Right from birth, our intention was to retain one and offer the other for sale. However, with the sale coming home to the farm this year, we made the decision to showcase the very best of our program—so both bulls are being made available.
■ These two bulls have consistently demonstrated exceptional growth and performance. It has been a real pleasure to observe their development, especially catching them on film during summer pasture checks. We truly can’t say enough about the quality and potential of these two outstanding individuals.
■ HOMO POLLED HOMO BLACK

■ POLLED HETERO BLACK
■ Thick heavy muscled big hipped son of a gun
■ Dam is a nice Everlast daughter with two sons working in great commercial herds

Here is a group of 4 flush mates sired by Max Power off our RF Sadie donor cow. Each one carry’s extra length, big hipped, and wide tops. Max Power was a bull we raised and sold to a very astute commercial herd. These 4 carry the same great characteristics of their father and are backed by our number one black donor here. If you like them all black, blaze faced, or some chrome the choice is yours

■ HOMO POLLED HOMO BLACK
■ 65N gives you the opportunity of combining our 2 top black donor cows into one mating. Sired by Route 66, who is a Trailblazer son off Wyatts 18F donor cow that we sold to Todd Ranches. This black blazed faced bull is very correct standing on great feet. He carries the pen with presence, style and overall a very complete bull. A natural calf off Rf60h, here is another maternally stacked bull that will find many friends.

■ Lot 35 and Lot 36 are a remarkable pair of twins that continually switch places as to who the favourite is, among them. Both bulls showcase excellent hair quality and possess a large hip, highlighting their strong physical attributes. Their pedigree traces back to a standout sale pick from Foresee Cattle Co., selected by Wyatt. These qualities make them notable additions to the offering, with each displaying the characteristics desired for herd improvement
■ HOMO POLLED HOMO BLACK

This year we welcome Todd Ranch Ltd as a consignor of replacement open heifers to our bull sale. Not only are they great friends, but they are also long time customers buying feature bulls from us since day one.
Here is a fantastic opportunity to purchase 40-50 Simmental sired red and black home raised, one iron heifers out of a reputable herd of over 700 momma cows.
Todd Ranch is a family run 4th generation ranch that has been operating since 1940. Heifers will be palpated open and come with a full herd health and vaccination program.
For any questions on the heifers please reach out to Darryl at 780-842-8360

This year’s catalog is made in memory of a special friend KURT PEDERSEN and a special family member COLETTE (FRENCHIE) LABRIE. Both lost way too soon, they have left a huge hole in our hearts.
• From the first year Kurt and Becky moved their bull sale home, Kurt has been after us to do the same. I am sure he will be smiling down on us sale day saying it’s about time. He was a great friend, curling teammate, and former Bull sale partner.
• Not only was Colette a very special family member, she was part of our harvest “meals to the field” crew. Many hours were spent fishing, camping and sitting around a campfire together. We dedicate this years catalog to them both as they both hold special places in our hearts and are missed dearly.
