Bu Sale 2026
On behalf of all of us here at Haw ye Ranching, I would li to welcome everyone to our annual bull sale. It is truly gratifying to have such an amazing group of people support us each and every year. We are constantly striving to provide you with a product that will help achieve your goals. Our main goal is to produce a bull that lasts the rigors of the breeding season in the toughest conditions that could possibly be thrown their way. We strive to produce and manage these bulls for longevity and durability for the customer's benefit, not the short-term goal of having the biggest fattest bulls come sale day. Our cow herd is run in big fields and wintered on dry feed and mineral alone. They need to be able to walk big miles, calve on their own and they better mother their calf from day one. We appreciate cows that successfully do it on their own.
Along with our purebred herd, we also run a decent sized commercial herd that helps us stay tuned to the commercial industry. This herd is a very productive herd, constantly weaning off the April/May born calves second or third week of October at well over 600 pounds year after year. We also attend numerous sales at the local auction marts to stay tuned to the industry. I always say that I li going to canner cow sales any day of the week rather than any big cow show. We love seeing people’s cattle and get a sense of their herds at these sales; the good, bad, and the ugly. I don’t just want to see everyone’s good ones, I want to see the bad ones too.

is currently back to her dream job. Everyday she as me how she ended up being so lucky. Emma has completed her sonography education and recently started her full-time job in Medicine Hat doing ultrasound. We couldn’t be happier for her and we are all excited that she is able to do it fairly close to home. Kolt is going to be graduating high school this year and is planning to ta business in Medicine Hat as well. We could have been empty nesters as of this year. However, Melissa had to have funny ideas thirteen years ago and we will still have Manni kicking around. It’s a good thing too, because he seems to be foreman in training and has all of the hand signals down pat so if I am gone, he will be able to direct Melissa around and she won’t miss a beat. As for me, my pelvis is finally feeling better almost two years after my quad accident. Apparently, I also had a fatty liver, so I went on a diet and have lost a few pounds and feeling better than ever. Now that you are up-to-date, we hope to see everyone soon.

High selling bull from Jody and BJ a couple of years ago. I tried buying his sire because I really admired his mass and extreme easy eping ability as well as having a tremendous foot. Cherished Forever in our Hearts
This past year our family has, yet again, experienced a tremendous loss. Just a week and a half after last year's bull sale, I received a phone call I hope other people don’t ever have to experience. On the other line was my sister while EMS had ta n over from her trying to save her son's life. All the efforts failed and we lost him that night.
Carter was my Godson and was in a battle that eventually became too much for him to fight. Sadly, our health care system failed him, which is becoming too much of the norm for many. Mental health struggles are not ta n seriously enough by most of our medical system, especially in our youth. They ep telling them to reach out and ask for help. That is exactly what Carter did and
my sister took him for help. Instead of helping, they got sent home with nothing and no support. A week later he was gone. Unfortunately, his story is not an isolated case and yet the government does not seem to care. Too busy with the talking points and politicking instead of actually making a difference in people’s lives.
Carter was a ray of sunshine. When he entered a room, you knew he was there. He was always thinking of others before himself. When Carter set his mind to something, he did it well beyond what was expected. He loved bas tball, football, Scooby doo, hot chocolate, his friends and, most of all, he loved his family. We all miss you Carter and are devastated that we couldn’t get you the help that you so desperately needed.

TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at sale location unless satisfactory credit arrangements have been made prior to the sale. The right of property shall not pass until after settlement is made. Should the purchaser fail to settle for their purchase Haw ye Ranching Company Ltd. reserves full power to resell the animal to the best advantage, either publicly or privately, without further notice. Any loss arising from such resale, together with ep and all other expenses shall be payable by the defaulter. All settlements must be made with the cler of the sale before any cattle will be released. The owners, and sale staff have the right to refuse bids from anyone who has a previous record of default in payment and/or who has not made prior credit arrangements prior to the sale with the owners. Current exchange rates will be announced sale day. All monies are in Canadian funds.
DISPUTES: In case of disputes, bidding will be reopened between the parties involved. If no further bid is made, the buyer will be the person from whom the auctioneer accepted the last bid. The auctioneer’s decision in such matters will be final.
PURCHASERS RISK: Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold.
GUA NTEE: All animals in this sale will be sold under the terms and guarantees set forth by the Canadian Angus Association with regard to health, freedom from defects and from both reproductive and specific genetic unsoundness. At no time shall the seller’s liability exceed the purchased price of the animal.
EXCEPTION TO GUA NTEE: In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. In the cases of bulls, they are guaranteed to breed naturally according to applicable Canadian breed Association guarantee, but no guarantee is given that semen from any bull will freeze.
HEALTH: It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animal into his province or state. Bulls sell with passing breeding soundness evaluations unless otherwise announced.
LIABILITIES: All persons attend the sale at their own risk. The sellers, facility owner, auctioneer and sale staff assume no liability, legal or otherwise, for any accidents that occur.
CERTIFICATE OF REGIST TION:
Each animal will carry papers issued by the Canadian Angus Association unless otherwise specified. A certificate of registry duly transferred will be furnished to the buyer for each animal after payment has been made.
PHONE, MAIL, WIRE BIDS: Bidders unable to attend the sale may phone, wire or mail their bids and instructions to the auctioneer, ringmen or special representatives. Bids must be received in sufficient time prior to the sale.
ANNOUNCEMENTS: from the auction block will ta precedence over printed matter in the catalogue. Buyers are therefore cautioned to pay attention to any such announcements.
SEMENT INTEREST: Haw ye Ranching Company Ltd. reserves the right to draw in herd semen on any bull sold in this sale at our expense and buyers convenience.
INSU NCE: Agents will be available to insure your purchase. We strongly recommend that insurance is purchased for full value.
