1. Visit https://farmgatetimedauctions.ca, then click on the LOGIN/ REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding for 5 minute if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after 6 PM will extend the sale by 5 minutes from the time of that bid. When no bidding occurs for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Within 24 hours of the sale close DLMS will contact winning bidders via email with an invoice payable to Greenvalley Ranch Ltd. Transfer of papers and delivery will be arranged with Greenvalley Ranch Ltd upon sale completion.
If you require assistance with using the new DLMS Farm Gate web site, if you don’t understand how to create a favorites list, if you can’t figure out the proxy bid or you just plain want to bid via phone, please talk to any of the DLMS team or Sale Consignors.
What is racehorse style sale close? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
how will extended bidding work? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.

Warmest welcome to our sixth annual bull sale. We are excited more than ever to be in the cattle business with these great prices. It’s great to see the hard working cowboys getting paid back for years of tough times. It really does pay to hang in there. Thank you doesn’t seem near enough to say for the support we have had to our program. To all the past customers repeat and first time THANK YOU! We are here for the long haul and look forward to many years and strong relationships with our customers.
We have continued with the strict selection process to insure our program continues to improve each and every year. I feel that is my responsibility to our customers, the breed and the business.
Our bulls are raised on their dams with access to a pellet creep feed designed for their health and growth. Once weaned they are put on a 25 acre tame hay plot with access to pellets/pail feed ration, and free choice hay. Once harvest is complete and the cows are near home the TMR is fired up and they are switched over to a silage/hay/pellet ration to insure gut health and proper development. As we are in the business to raise breeding stock, we demand this is what they do. Our bulls are 100% satisfaction guaranteed as our moto is bred and fed to last! 2025 has been a struggle with family health issues and yet another drought. Tough times make tough people so we are going to keep chugging along. The kids are growing up fast and are busy with extracurricular activities; their full blood program has continued to grow, adding a bred heifer and landing a handful of embryo calves. This fall we had success on the show road picking up a few banners and well I gotta say - I finally got my buckle. We were humbled to win Stockade Lady in Lloydminster to a pedigree that has a few of our prefixes in it. It is pretty cool to see that some of our selections have received a little spotlight.
I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of the cattlemen and women the very best success in 2026 with a safe and healthy calving season. We also look forward to the formation of the Republic of Alberta.
We would remind everyone that here we have an open door. We are proud of the herd we are putting together and would love to give tours any time of the year. As for now, the bull pen is open to viewing at anytime and we hope to see you for your evaluation of the group. If time doesn’t permit my phone is always on and Scott, Taylor, and Jaxon are well familiar with my program to help you find a suitable bull for your needs.
We look forward to seeing repeat customers and look forward to meeting new and potential customers.
Thank you again and best of luck to all in 2026.
Hugh & Raylene and Family.
Vermilion, AB 780-581-8608

I f you ever wondered what vision, passion and a disciplined approach to breeding cattle looks like, you will find it in the next 30 some odd pages as it is absolutley impressive and commendable to see where the revamped Greenvalley Ranch program has come in the last 9 years since they started acquiring purebred cattle again. Hugh Stewart and family are passionate agriculture folks with a real passion and no nonsense approach to breeding cattle. This is their largest and deepest offering of Simmental Bulls they have ever offered up for sale and we think you will be very impressed with the consistency throughout the red, black and fullblood Simmental Bulls. The building they have done around elite cow families is evident as you study the pedigrees of these bulls both top and bottom. In many cases, Hugh put a really high end production cow through the motions and once she had proven herself, he flushed the snot out of her to create a big time cow herd that annually produces some of the real good pens of bulls we get to be associated with. Hughs approach is simple yet crucial. He expects these cattle to be low maintenance, easy doing and fault free while remaining highly productive and kind on the eyes! Hugh really doesn’t put up with anything and that has built

a program around strong feet and udders with loads of maternal merit and performance bred into each animal. This years set is no exception and is a prime example of the powerful herd bulls both acquired and produced right at GVR and their strong embryo transfer program. We think anyone who comes through the GVR bull pen would be blown away with the quality and would be able to find multiple options for their own programs. We invite you to tour the pen with Hugh anytime previous to the March 2nd online closeout with DLMS Farmgate. Be sure to give Hugh a call to discuss the bulls, he would be excited to talk shop with you. If any of us listed from BMS can be of any assistance, please don’t hesitate to call as we are very familiar with this program and the bulls on offer. We would be happy to chat with you!
Best Regards,
The Bohrson Marketing Team

“Our bulls are bred and fed to last. We have complete confidence that our bulls will go out and work for your operation. Make sure to contact myself or any of the BMS if you are unable to make the sale. We will help you find the right bull for you.”

Stacked genetics is the result of this flush son. Being the only bull of the six full siblings last year made Boss pretty special and we knew from the start this calf would need to be in our fall show string. Boss was with 2 full siblings sisters and a paternal brother along side their dad. Boss made the rounds and won Reserve Champion Simmental bull at Barrhead, Champion Junior bull at Olds fall classic, and Second in class at Farm Fair. His full sibling sister won Stockade Lady at Lloydminster. Moderate frame with the rib shape and smooth made excites us for the future of 102N. Big time maternal qualities can be picked out of any name in his pedigree.

Talk about rib shape!!! Easy fleshing Gentics pull through all day long on this bull. Dark red and big time udder quality from both sides make me excited to think of the females this bull will make.

Back again with another easy fleshing bull. There was a specific group of cows I picked out to expose to Ranch Boss and 138N was exactly what I expected out of 313H. Big time future backed again by great maternal traits in this mating.

We all know in the Simmental breed about a cow named Darlin. Well it turns out that 91N comes out of a full sibling to the great Darlin in a black and white version. Big time udder and feet quality are packed in 91N’s family tree.

Proven genetics is the best way to confidently promote, and this is why we are offering semen on GVR Ranch Boss 52L. Son of the proven CRF Frankie 68F and Sunny Valley Rancher 42D, we see that genetic traits are extremely consistent. Ranch Boss is dark red, wide topped, excellent footed, and carries the genetics of foot and udder perfection. With now two years of progeny on the ground here, and many other farms that purchased semen, consistency and quality are proving true. Any where there are Ranch Boss calves they are in the top end of the pen. Feedback is telling the tale! Ranch Boss had a busy year again with his own breeding group and a busy fall show season. We are proud of Ranch Boss for what he has already done and what we believe he is cabable of in the future. If you are looking for a TOP quality red sire that is out of a stacked up proven pedigree with multiple calves to see results, give us a call and we will gladly help you get the semen you need. Semen is export qualified.

I didn’t check Websters to confirm but GVR 606F would be the perfect definition of power and performance. This dark red beauty for sure would be the deepest longest cow on the ranch. We decided to flush her and thought Red American would be a rockstar mating. We have heard from many in the business regarding the Purebred Simmental breed dropping in frame size. If you are wanting to add frame size with length, depth and deep color then 606F progeny is what you are looking for. We have embryos of multiple sires we would sell as well.

Oh how I wish these were 3 sisters and they would not be for sale. This flush resulted in exactly what we mated for. Power, performance, length and depth!!! What some would say the breed has lost over the years - these 3 brothers have it to add back into your program! When you are paid by the pound you can be sure the offspring of these bulls is going to fill your pockets.
606F is definitely one of my favourite cows and we just can’t get enough of her offspring! We have embryos that are available on this mating and other sires if you are interested call to inquire.

sire: dam:

ERIXON WAR PAINT 42D
BEAG RED BEVERLY 17B

When I bought 17B from the Dispersal she was pregnant with a WarPaint bull calf. When that calf hit the ground I knew that was the perfect mating for her. When the opportunity presented itself we flushed Beverly to Warpaint again. In our implants for the 2025 calf crop this was the only bull we landed but we did manage to get 4 sisters and they are top notch good!!! Blaze face Beverly had an amazing udder with optimal teet size and fantastic suspension. War Paint added all the rib shape you can imagine and a full hind quarter. This will be the last and only opportunity to get a Warpaint x Beverly as all the embryos were implanted.
NUG ROYAL RED 324A
RF SCREAM 215Z
NUG MOSSEY 331Z
BIG SKY DEBRA

Take your pick on these maternal brothers, whatever color suits you. Throw back to proven genetics is what you are looking at here with a touch of outcross on the dam side. 591C was one of the first cows we ever flushed. She had unreal fertility as we still have many embryos of hers to implant for years to come with the large flushes. Seeing results like this make us wish we had an abundance of recips to get them all implanted. Feet and udder quality are big time positives in either of these brothers.

I figured it was time for the kids to have some cows of their own so new to GVR is the Full Blood division. Zane and Adalyn have four cows, Whispers, Labelle, Holly and Maggies replacement heifer. I had talked about full blood for some time and thought it would be fun for the kids and easy for them to see which ones are theirs. I often joke with them that anything with white on its legs is theirs. As for me I do not like horns so the full blood division is POLLED!!!

One of these years I’m going to make the kids write their own foot notes for the full bloods. Labelle was a purchase from the Kuntz program through Border City Simmental Sale. She is a gentle cow that has a beautiful udder and keeps raising awesome calves. This year with farm fair having a Full Blood show we knew that Fred had to go for a walk in the show ring. Fred easily pulled off Champion Fullblood bull calf and got loads of attention. Dewalt turned out to be a fantastic cross with Labelle I could only imagine the females that Fred will make. Dont forget Fred is polled!!

The rarest of rare, a full blood calving ease bull. We feel that this Reputation son is an opportunity to breed some younger cows to a HOMO POLLED full blood!! Whispers was the first full blood female the kids bought as a bred and what a sweet little cow she has become.

Elo became a corner stone female for us. It was an easy decision to flush her and try to replicate her as many times as possible. Natural calves and embryo calves have always been highlights in their respective pens. We have won classes and reserve champion pairs with her and her daughter 481G. It is pretty cool when going through the herd to see many fantastic females that have stemmed from the arrival of 48E. Maternal traits are strong on this cow. Fantastic feet, udder suspension, amount of milk, and of course very easy fleshing.

Here is a natural calf off 48E. We have been very impressed with what Stepping Stone has done so it was easy to make this match with 48E. 171M was a twin to a heifer but raised solely by his natural mother. This bull has some life to him and we are certain there wont be a cow he can’t find no matter what country he has to cover. Deep and fleshy 5N moves like a cat.
The anomaly! A red calf out of 48E. This cow has been a fantastic donor or us and has raised donor 481G which has multiple daughters that very easily can or will become future donors. The maternal qualities have proven multiple times making top end females. Rib shape and depth are strong traits of 48E. She is always in amazing condition and yet never leaves her calves lacking.

481G was easily the best replacement hfr in her year and we were not surprised that she turned out to be a donor for us as well. Big time maternal traits with 48E and 202Z just help make her a package of greatness. It would be hard to find a cow with more rib shape and depth than 481G. Again with what we have seen of Stepping Stone we felt we had to breed her the same way as her mother and with the results I would do it again. Wide top, round and deep 5N will add pounds and maternal greatness in his offspring.

Well what can I say here? If you have followed along with our sales and managed to struggle through my foot notes and know me then you would know I’m very focused on our females. GVR 42L is a flat out awesome young and powerful female that I wanted a female out of as she was the first and only female I got from here mother. Sooo, I AI’d her to sexed female Next Level semen. To my surprise she had a bull calf. Yes, I sure was disappointed and not with how 169M has turned out, but that I didn’t get my female. I’m not sure what happened with that semen specialist but here is your opportunity now on a flat out awesome bull!!

#1515589 | GVR 169M | Dec. 31, 2024 | Homo POLLED | Percentage

Don’t ask me why I did this mating but I did and it worked quite nicely. 5L was a bull that we raised out of our very first donor dam 6105D. She was a whale! Efficiency was always the first thing that would come to mind when I think of her cause she could stay fat on fresh air and still raise awesome calves. Then fast forward to 31H a fleshy moderate black cow with quite a bit of calving ease we make a cross. This is a cool bull that would work on sooo many different cows I think it will be pretty cool to see the resulting calves he will make.

10N is a power machine. His dam Charm is all power and performance. We have bred her many different ways which have lead to a lot of success, but this time we thought let’s do a throw back. This mating with RF Throttled was no mistake and we will likely try it again in hopes of a heifer calf.

609H is a home raised E.T. bull that is a full sibling to Black Gold’s Ava Scream. Solid black and long as a train this bull is really growing into a rockstar.

GVR 609H is possibly even a little longer than a train. Cross that with a nice middle of the road size cow with a great udder the result is 131N. This bull is performance all day long. And remember when you are looking at his numbers that weight comes from length!! Smooth made and long calves very nicely.
206E has to be the kindest gentlest cow on the farm. The closest contender would probably be her daughter. Again tons of length and big time YW numbers helps pad your pocket when you take your calves to town.

Here is a cool 3/4 blood bull with a perfect money stripe on his face. He’s got the length and has the frame to make calves that squash the scale. 67N knows where you are and his agility will make sure he doesn’t leave a cow uncovered from far and wide.

In search for an outcrossed herd sire to what we have Taylor found us this Top Tier son out of the Labatte Program. We were looking for maternal perfection and 199K was selected. Even with calving ease on his top side this bull does not lack any performance. 199K is growing to be a big, long, smooth made bull and his feet are great!

Power bull alert! 34N has frame. He is smooth made and longggg! 34N is a proud bull and moves with ease. The grass wont have time to grow under his feet as he passes his genetics on. If you were wanting your calves to squat the dually you can be sure 34N is going to make sure you have the pounds to get paid.
You can’t help but love the deep shades of red like 99N. His dam goes back to Rio Grande who flat out made females!! Cool pedigree with some proven throw backs help to solidify what 99N is capable of producing in his future calf crops.

Here is a black beauty out of a baldy face cow. 2J is all performance but mixed with the calving ease of 31K this dude is a pretty cool package. 132N has two of our donor cows in his pedigree, one on each side.

Identical twins is exactly what we have here. These two guys are peas in a pod and have been from day one. It’s really impressive to see how they have grown and developed almost exactly alike. Quiet and moderate Tycoon momma really knocked it out of the park. These bulls were not raised on the same cow as we do our best to split twins and give them the best chance to grow and not wear their mom right out. 51K is a quiet cow that will not move from whatever angle you approach her if she thinks you just might have time to give her some scratches. Docility has definitely been passed on to these brothers. 158N was raised on momma and 159N was raised on a first calf heifer.

Big time spread from birth to weaning! 22K comes out of our donor cow 48E. Pretty cool to see the calving ease coming through with Amber and Walk This Way, but not leaving any performance behind with 48E and Darlin. This big quiet fella has endless potential to compliment any herd he may end up in making calving easy and big time pound for payment.

We are all familiar with the names Sammie and Darlin’ and incase you missed it they are both found behind 55N. This bull has the full mix of calving ease and performance, again picking the best traits all the way through.

Quite a cool pedigree here. 99E was a smaller frame cow that put the punch into her calves. Mating her with Chief resulted in 135N’s mom 72K which added some frame size. Throw 5K in the mix keeping the smoothness of shoulders and adding a ton of hair 135N is sure to complement any type.

Calving ease comes with the smoothness and length in 71N. As I look through the pedigree to write these footnotes what comes to mind here is big time foot quality. 55J brings the frame size to the equation and 5K is giving the depth and great hair coat.

Check out the spread on the numbers. Thinking of 41N’s pedigree it seems to me that he grabbed the best traits of all these generations. He’s got the length, depth, and hair coat. Whatever his offspring is you can be sure they will be keeper quality and heavy on the scale at weaning.
7J comes from a great uddered cows family and being crossed with Ranch boss is certain to make beautiful females. Anything with Tycoon linieage has only added to our program where ever it was used.

Alright now we are in the heifer pen! Calving ease sires are all the way through top and bottom of 147L’s genetics. 32J was purchased from Sunny Valley program at the Border City Sale with the purpose to make heifer bulls. So since 87L didn’t arrive as a bull we figured what a great opportunity to breed her to Mountain View and add even more calving ease to the line up.

Foot and structure quality flood the bottom side of this pedigree. Brisk was the biggest footed purebred bull I’ve seen and had the opportunity to walk. Chief had unreal feet and was a breeding machine that had two seasons every year. Udders are another thing that comes to mind looking though his dams side with amount of milk, udder suspension and teat size. 114N is backed by strong qualities throughout and I’d be certain he will make amazing replacement heifers.

Even though 108N has big time calving numbers he hasn’t lacked in depth and rib shape. Backed by long proven genetics on the dam side with a touch of outcross this bull is certain to improve traits wherever he is used.

Here is a later born calf to a beautiful young cow that is a full sibling to our herd bull GVR 60K. This lively bull posts nice calving ease numbers, yet still triple digits in the yearling weight.
Dark red and well bred. Again I can’t say enough good about Chief’s structure and feet. 38E is a great footed granddam and she will be one of the first to have her head in the pail.
148N was born towards the end of calving which gave him a little later start than some. Going back to the lovely SVS 95J cow that is the dam of 1N you can be sure that 148N is bred very well and will bring a nice deep red and fantastic udders to his daughters.

122N’s dam is a paternal sibling to our high selling black bull two years ago to R-Plus. 120L comes from the lineage of 48E and she carries the maternal traits that run strong. There is a fair bit of calving ease in this pedigree as 48G is an Absolute daughter; and the sire of 122N is a heifer bull. Performance shines through this playful fella on what we have seen out of LRPS 0184H and of course 48E.
Sire of 122N is assumed at this point but will be DNA Verified by sale time.

When I think of this cow family energetic comes to mind - always jumping and bucking happily around. Moderate size cow family and 105K is big ribbed and always in condition. The amount of hip and depth in 124N is no surprise if you saw his mom. This is a great uddered and efficient cow family.

At this point this cow has slipped through the cracks so we will be pending DNA likely till after the sale. His dam is a big red powerful cow with a beautiful udder and tons of milk. 993G is a full sibling to a herd bull we raised and used GVR 75G. This is definitely a powerful bull with tons of length, big hip, lots of middle, yet still smooth made. Here is a bull that is definitely going to add pounds and frame size to your herd.
Sire of 117N is assumed at this point but will be DNA Verified by sale time. 53
