Welcome from LINES RED ANGUS

Welcome to the Generation N bull sale. anks for taking the time to check out our catalogue and consider our program in your herd bull search. With the record high markets, this years bull crop has the potential to generate the biggest ROI most of us have ever seen. It is about time we got paid. While the prices for feeders is great to see, the replacement females may outsell the steers in the coming herd expansion. Every bull in this o ering is designed to sire superior females, which is probably why I end up writing about cows when I try to write footnotes for bulls. Cowherd and bulls are available for tours any day up to sale time. All sale bulls wintered together and were hand fed responsibly on long hay, brown oats and a mineral pack. Wintered in a large eld these bulls are athletic, free moving and ready for work. ey have never seen creep feed or silage. Hope to see everyone April 9 for good food, hospitality and Excellent cattle.

I bought Rally as the high selling bull in Moose Creek’s 2008 sale. It is hard to believe it was 18 years ago. He was all bull , maturing to 2600 pounds+ . He le mouthwatering daughters that set the bar here, some who are still producing. He retired sound a er six years natural service, quite a feat for any bull. longtime customers still talk about his sons, correct structure and longevity. Even though he was born 19 years ago, and there has been vast improvement in the breed over the years, if I ever see another like him I am either going to buy him or steal him. His kind don’t come along very o en. ree sons and one grandson sell.

RED TR ESCALADE 318T

We ushed 29X to Escalade 318 T for many reasons. He is a foot improver and an udder xer, with good performance and great maternal traits. Along with birthweight, where we like it. e Dutch Prince of Taber , big Ben Tams, who bred him told me that over the course of 30 years he is the most versatile and in uential sire he has used. Timeless genetics with no expiration date.

51K or Haggard as he is known around here, was my pick of a powerful set of Mama Tried sons in Russ Coward’s 2023 sale. His calves have exceeded my high expectations. Powerful performance, true angus type and more calving ease than I expected in his calves. Good black feet and the ability to travel and hit his mark has bred true.

B-ELLE SALSA ULTRA 820U

Legend was selected as my pick of B-elle Red Angus the Blooms. When I walked in the pen and saw Legend, he was a stand out in the pen. He is made right and catches your eye. When I saw his dam 329A, I knew he was the bull I was looking for. When searching for the next herd bull I wanted to nd one from proven genetics and with both his sire and dam still working for Blooms he was a good t. We are now calving his second calf crop and they are true calving ease cattle. ey come easy and still have some growth. Look for his sons to carry on these traits of functional cattle with longevity bred in.

When looking for a herd sire I look for a bull that is made right and can travel. I would like him to be from a proven cow that has a strong production record. Even better if you have a front row seat to it all. Alibi was the lead o bull in the Generation K bull sale. A spot he earned as he was a stand out all along. His calves are stout made and grow with the front of the pack. We are calving his third calf crop and he has bred well on both purebred and commercial cows.

Reference Dam RED LINES COUNTESS 29X

Everyone has heard, or has their own story about the mythical little cow that produces like a big power cow. 29X was a “little big cow”. She consistently outkicked her coverage, no matter who she was bred to. Big brawny bull calves, and feminine females galore, 12 natural calves, and 25 ET o spring and counting. A true production machine with eight calves catalogued this year and more in the pipeline. Her picture taken in her 14th spring a week a er calving rst for the third consecutive year, is a testament to her longevity and fertility. Unlike most pictures of big overfed overfat dry donor cows, she is in her working clothes because that’s all she ever did. She ushed 46 number one embryos at 14 years of age while raising a big soggy heifer calf. She was smart and did her job raising great calves with no need for human intervention. Between her and her maternal brother Scoof 10D there is near 200 registered progeny in multiple herds. Bid on her sons and grandsons knowing the homework is all done. e steer calves out of them will be scale crushers and the females will be “little big cows”. She never misses!

e rst of ve full embryo transplant, brothers in the sale, ey will be female makers, deluxe, and udder and foot improvers. We are going to use these genetics in our herd, hoping to have semen froze by sale day.

When you have bacon and eggs for breakfast, the chicken makes a contribution, the pig makes a commitment.

Full ET brother to previous lot, time tested genetics. Escalade 318 T has over 500 direct descendants registered.

When we ushed old 29x at 13 years of age, we chose Red Moose Creek Rally 36t. We had high expectations for the resulting progeny and they didn’t disappoint. Red Clear Decision 7N exceeds those expectations. He has been a stand out since he was a month old and has not looked back since. Terms to be announced.

is bull is square made and really pushes down on the scale. He is made right and will be a high-performance sire. When pounds pay as well as they are now, he is the kind.

RED LINES ESCALADE 10N 10N

Here is a stylish member of the group of ve. Tremendous consistency in these ush brothers.

CALVING EASE GUIDE

ONE STAR * mature cows only TWO STARS ** mature cows & 2nd calvers

THREE STARS *** 2nd calvers & well grown out heifers of the same breed & under supervision

FOUR STARS **** suitable on heifers under supervision

FIVE STARS ***** suitable for heifers in all situations

Of all the traits that we track in our industry, calving ease is one of the most sought after and researched. Regarding birth weight, while I feel it is important, I believe shape is even more crucial for calving ease. A calf that scales larger, with length and front-end extension, will be delivered easier than a stubby, thick SOB with his head mounted right on his square shoulders that weighs in much lighter. e picture attached is for demonstration purposes only. Both bottles hold the same ounces, but which one would be easier to push into the world?

Smooth made bull that would work if you had a few heifers with your cows. I would keep every daughter. As far as cows go they don’t get much better than 3A, who raised this bull at 12 years old. 3A is a successful ush cow and is currently being ushed to get more of her great progeny.

is bull belongs to our middle daughter. When Boyd and our kids get trading, I stay out of it. Well the kid picked a good one and this bull proves it. His grandma 36x was a no miss cow that produced until she was 14 and has had 5 daughters retained in herd. e Fortune cow family is as strong as they come around here.

e days that I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations, well, I have really good days.

- Ray Wylie Hubbard

Embryo transplant calf out of 3A x Slowburn from Leewenberg’s. ere is a half a dozen ET brothers bred Similar in the queue for next year. e slow burns have worked wherever they have been used good sound useful cattle. Full brother sold to Richard Giles last year.

If we are to preserve civilization, we must rst remain civilized.

Another ET calf out of 29x by Rally 36t. He is a little so er made while still carrying 29x’s stamps that she’s put on all 37 of her progeny.

Another of the Escalade brothers, they are like peas in a pod.

is bull really has an eye catching look to him. He gets found easily in the pen. Has lots of middle and weighs up near the top. 29x and Rally again. Proven genetics, how can you go wrong?
