To welcome to you to our 12th Annual Stockmans Choice Bull Sale. It seems surreal to think that we have been able to host 12 bull sales!
The last 12 months have been a wild ride for us at Diamond T. We were thrilled to launch our new brand & logo then we decided to go ahead and have a female sale in the fall of 2025! We were honoured and humbled with the excitement behind both the rebrand and the female sale. Through the good and bad days, we are always most grateful for the support we have of our family, friends and customers. Always moving forward with the goal of producing the best seedstock possible.
Aside from ranch work, we are in the thick of raising the kids – which means we need cattle that work for us, not the other way around! Showing heifers, sitting at the ball diamond and running to hockey seem to be the normal for us right now! We love how helpful and capable the kids are as they get a bit older! Working side by side; they know the cattle the same as their parents now. This year’s bull offering is more exciting than ever before, and we are so honoured to be able to share them with our loyal and dedicated customers. Grandpa Ron has always remarked that if your sale offering doesn’t get better each year, you’re not doing it right – our hope is that you agree that our offering gets better each year!
Our black bulls are led off by calves sired by The Thrill, Judgement, No Doubt and Smoke Wagon! Our red bulls are backed by sires like Elysium, Achievement and Rolling Rock.
As normal, the bulls are never on creep feed through the summer. We always joke that we can’t afford to creep feed all the bears in Bearberry! We firmly believe that our cattle need to be raised in similar environments to that of our customers, no creep; hard grazing and lots of walking!
The bulls were weaned mid to late September this year, they went right onto a post-wean pellet and hay; after the hard wean was off the bulls and we made our culling decisions we transitioned them to the sale yard and they started on a TMR of cereal silage, chopped hay, rolled barley and Trouw Nutrition Beef Bull Supplement.
Our focus on longevity in our cow herd and bull pen means that we don’t push the bulls on feed too hard, we want these bulls to go work and last for you, our customers, for years to come.
Each year we pick a quote to recall when we are in the grind of everyday! This year we picked … “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard”! Pretty self-explanatory!
As we inch towards sale day, we welcome you to tour the bull pens and look and the cow herd! There is nothing we enjoy more than getting to visit with all of you about cattle and life!
We are confident in our “sight unseen purchase plan”, we are always excited to tour the herd and help you navigate through our program to choose the bull that will fit your breeding scenario accurately.
