Welcome to the 3rd annual Diamond Creek Cattle Co. online Sale. Let me introduce our family who owns and operates Diamond Creek. Diamond Creek is a mixed farming operation owned by Todd, Debbie, Rylan, Austin and Jenna Knupp, which is located near Weyburn, Saskatchewan.
We started out with a commercial herd of cows and we purchased our first Shorthorn bull in 2008. We were impressed with how this Shorthorn bull worked in our commercial herd, so we started to pay more attention to the Shorthorn breed. This led to us purchasing our first purebred Shorthorn female in 2011 and just like eating potato chips we could not stop at just one. Since then we have built up to now having over 100 breeding age females in 2026. Our first consignments to the Sun Country sale was in 2018. We have studied everything and anything, in regards to Shorthorns and we are in this breed for the long haul. We have selected the best sires we could find and afford, that would bring improvement to our herd. We have also selected the best AI sires available to us, and you will see several sons of these sires in this sale. We are starting to use ET genetics and you will see some in this sale.
Our cattle are developed on grass and homegrown feeds. We do not creep feed our calves. Our bulls and heifers are developed on an oat ration supplemented by good quality hay. These cattle are grown out and not fattened and harmed. Soundness is something we strive for, and for this reason we walk our pens every day and cull any animals we see with structural issues.
We are very pleased with the offering in this sale, and we invite you to watch the videos or come to the farm and see them yourself. Our sales consultants will have seen the cattle well in advance of the sale. They will give you their honest opinions on the cattle. Contact any of the owners and or the sale consultants at any time. EXPORT
Sellers guarantee that all animals are exportable to the USA, or a full refund will be issued. $300 CAD will be added to the invoice of each live animal sold to the USA, to help cover the cost of health testing and other paperwork. The seller will arrange to have done and pay veterinary testing cost. The cost of transportation from the crossing as well as brokerage fees and other miscellaneous cost are the responsibility of the buyer. Sellers will assist in finding transportation.
PURCHASER’S RISK
Each animal becomes the risk of the purchaser as soon as sold. Animals will be fed, watered and cared for at the purchaser’s risk for a reasonable amount of time. If leaving your bull in our care we strongly encourage you as the new owner to insure him.
RETAINED INTEREST
We Retain the right to collect semen on any bull sold in the sale for In herd use only. Semen will be collected at the buyers convenience and the seller’s expense.

How to participate in the DLMS Farm Gate Timed Auction with Extended Bidding:
Wednesday, March 25 - 8 AM CST - bidding begins
Thursday, March 26 - 7 PM CST - auction closes farmgate style
1. Visit https://farmgatetimedauctions.ca, click the LOGIN/REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to sign up for a free user account and it allows you to select a user name and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favorite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Anytime there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if someone else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maxiumum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will not longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding for 5 minutes if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after 7 PM CST will extend the sale by 5 minutes from the time of that bid. When no bidding occurs for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Within 24 hours of the sale close Diamond Creek Cattle Co. will contact all winning bidders to arrange payment, transfer of pedigrees and deliver/pickup of your lot.

WHAT IS RACEHORSE STYLE SALE CLOSE? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone into extended bidding.
HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORK? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and gives all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.

North Star stands out with both data and real-world functionality. He was born unassisted at a moderate 78 lb birth weight and is supported by an early gestation and EPDs that strongly indicate calving ease while maintaining meaningful performance. We are extremely confident in his ability to be used on heifers. His dam continues to establish herself as an elite female within our herd.
Neon Moon is the first son to be offered on our new herd sire PVF Lincoln 27L which is a son of the highly talked about Eighteen Seventy Two Bull. 77N has stood out for his look and presence from an early age. He offers tremendous center body and rib shape, while maintaining balance. He combines an abundance of thickness and natural muscle with a sound structure, standing on a strong foot and travelling effortlessly. From a performance standpoint he ranks in the top 15% in the breed for both yearling and weaning weights.
Dimension a moderate framed, heifer bull with the added look and performance, sired by our go to heifer bull JSF Untouchable 17J. His Dam has done an exceptional job for us producing top end Bulls and females year after year. We feel Dimension will be no different making an impact in any operation.
