Diamond C Land and Cattle is a family-owned and operated ranch run by the Murphy family. As a young family in the cattle business, we value all the support we’ve received throughout the years. Our goal is to do right by our cattle and our customers, raising bulls and females that work and help your herd thrive. Every bull we sell is bred and developed with our customers in mind, because your success is what keeps our program moving forward.
This year marks an exciting milestone as we host our First Annual Diamond C Bull & Female Sale! We are truly grateful to the many friends, family, customers, and neighbors who supported us through our previous sales and helped make this next step possible. Your confidence in our program means more than we can express. Our breeding philosophy is simple and consistent: maternal strength, longevity, and functionality. We believe the most profitable bulls are backed by cows that last, raise quality calves year after year, and thrive in real-world conditions, which is what we base our herd around. We feel the bulls in this offering reflect that, with bulls built to sire profitable steers, productive daughters, and add long-term value to your herd. We look forward to welcoming returning customers and making new connections. We sincerely appreciate your interest in our program and invite you to study this offering with confidence and join us sale day. We will be offering sound, performance-driven bulls and a select group of replacement females — all raised the same way, built to work, and bred to last.
Thank you again for trusting in our program and expressing interest in our cattle. We hope to see you sale day! Don’t forget to join us for lunch before the sale !

Extra Age Bull Development:
Our fall calf program is run primarily on grass for as long as conditions allow, prioritizing animal health and long-term soundness. By focusing on a forage-based approach, we encourage steady, natural growth that supports proper development and longevity. This method allows calves to mature at a realistic pace, building a strong foundation that carries through to their future productivity and performance. The resulting weaning weights reflect this pasture-based process.
Cattle EPD's are statistically predicted values based on available performance data and should be viewed as estimates rather than guarantees. While they are a useful tool for comparing animals within a breed, EPD's represent only one piece of the selection process. Simmental and Angus EDP’s are not comparable between breeds, please take the time to study both breed standard EPD’s.
Semen Rights:
All bulls sell in their entirety, unless arranged otherwise, with full possession transferring to the buyers at the conclusion of the sale. The seller retains the right to collect semen on any bull sold, for in-herd use only, at the buyer's convenience and the seller's expense. This right does not affect the buyer's ownership or use of the bull.

We are pleased to offer free delivery on all bulls within our neighboring provinces. For deliveries outside these areas, we will work with the buyer to make arrangements as cost-effective and convenient as possible. Bulls will be delivered directly to your yard, or as close to your location as possible. Delivery will be scheduled promptly after sale day, so buyers should be prepared to receive their animals. Bulls can be held at no charge after sale day until April 30, after which further arrangements will need to be made. We strongly suggest any bull returning to the ranch is insured.

We are incredibly grateful for the entire Murphy family and their significant others, and the role each of them plays in supporting us. No matter what needs to be done, they are always willing to lend a hand, offer encouragement, and step up wherever they’re needed. Their hard work and dedication help keep our purebred operation running smoothly day in and day out. We truly couldn’t do what we do without every single one of them, and we deeply appreciate all the time, effort, and heart they invest in our shared success.
We also want to extend our sincere gratitude to our hired hands for their hard work and commitment, as they are an essential part of what makes everything possible. As well as the friends and family who always show up when we need an extra hand. Your help and support do not go unnoticed.

The bull feeding program is built to maximize forage utilization, gut health and as a result quality sperm production. Nutritional status of a bull, particularly from the previous 60-days can affect the semen quality being ejaculated today. Sperm production is a continuous process and proper nutrition is critical to maintain peak fertility and longevity of bulls. Bull calves are generally developed on grass with their mom’s on a quality mineral program.
Once bull calves are weaned, they are slowly moved onto a balanced TMR. The bulls are challenged with a forage-based TMR to help them develop and express their genetic potential. This is important for consistency of maturation and puberty of bull calves. Sampling and analyzing
forages are important for properly balancing the overall ration. Forage quality and digestibility are important for maximizing ruminal health. Matching suitable protein sources with proper starch with the available forage sources is key to promoting lean muscle growth. The addition of organic minerals are used to ensure proper immune function and overall health of bulls. All of these factors contribute to semen quality and conception within a herd.
If you have any questions about the nutrition program, please feel free to reach out. Buy with confidence knowing the bulls have been developed on a balanced nutrition program.
Best of luck on sale day!
