On behalf of the entire Deeg family, we want to welcome you to their 23rd annual Bull Sale! The Deeg program is one to be admired as you study the pedigrees that appropriately correlate with the phenotype of the powerful bulls on offer. Generations of donor dams are stacked top and bottom of these intriguing herd sires and that has proven time and time again to be the recipe for producing sound, functional and high performing bulls. The injection of the #1 cow in the breed for registrations, Sage 506C, again has a heavy influence throughout this book as her direct progeny and her own donor daughters progeny have heavily impacted this program and ultimately, their customers’ programs. The utilization of some of the industry’s most popular AI sires and walking sires is a top priority around here and we can confidently say if you start listing the walking bull battery that have walked at Deeg’s the last two decades, you would be absolutely impressed. The Deeg bulls are fed and grown out responsibly with longevity in mind. They promote growth and performance with many calving ease options throughout this year’s offering. The Deeg family are some of the very best folks to do business with and it is evident that their program and operation is in

great hands with the next generation actively involved and depending who you ask, maybe the most reliable person to answer any cow related questions is in that newest generation! We can’t endorse the Deegs or the program enough and encourage you to join us sale day for one of our favourite lunches and bull sales of the year! Be sure to give any Deeg a call to discuss the bulls and set up a time to tour anytime prior. If the calving barn, hockey rink or any other prior commitment keeps you from sale day, feel free to reach out to any of us at BMS as we would be happy to assist in anyway possible. We look forward to visiting with you!
Best regards,
The Bohrson Marketing team

WELCOME FROM THE DEEG FAMILY
What a year 2025 was! One to remember for years to come! No one could have thought it would have been one of our biggest harvests and calves selling for new highs all over the prairies the way spring looked. We hope these are the good days that are here to stay and don’t fade away too soon! Our spring was dry and looked bleak when hauling cows to pasture but timely rains turned things around and we were fortunate to have lots of grass to graze late into the fall. The fall female sales were exceptionally strong all over and the ten we sold were well received and went to excellent homes. The optimism is infectious in the cattle industry and we are blessed to be a part of this incredible sector, with family, friends, partners, and customers.
We couldn’t do what we love without the help of the kids these days and we are thankful for their patience with us. The three of them all started at a new school in the fall with a practical inspired curriculum and agriculture integrated into the daily learning, on top of that they are able to be home a bit more and we sure enjoy the help. There is never a dull moment with them around. Dane just turned 12 and his passion for cows is infectious. He also enjoys to curl, even though he’s not doing it for the social aspect(yet). He remembers more about the cows and bulls than the rest of us and he may be the new tour guide going forward. Brynn (10) and Allie (6) are lighting up the ice with ringette and having a great year. They enjoyed showing in both High Steaks Junior beef club and a couple Junior shows this summer where they very competitive in multiple competitions. They took the three heifers we sold in Friday Night Lights to the junior shows where they learned lots and made new friends.
We are really proud of the set of bulls we have on offer this year. It can be a struggle to have an offering that has a little something for everyone and maintain uniformity but we feel this year is as even of a group as we’ve ever had. The set of red bulls this year is as strong as we’ve had. Once again a big group of Tycoon grandsons and a couple direct sons highlight the offering, a bull that is truly timeless and will never go out of style. Our calving ease red bull Element has his first sons on offer this year and they fit right in with the big boys. The black offering has some new bloodlines that we are excited about. The Intense progeny are hard to fault and his daughters are excellent. A large selection of half and three quarter blood bulls are once again on offer that we feel are very correct and have a lot to offer.
Feet, udders, and disposition are always high on the priority list with no exceptions made. All the bulls are mothered by high level cows that show our commitment to quality. Unfortunately we know genetics and environment can cause unforeseen problems, we don’t expect a problem to arise but if you have an issue with a previous purchase we’d like to hear about it and do our best to work with you to correct it. We work closely with multiple feed/supplement suppliers for the bullpen and the cow herd to analyze feed samples and formulate a ration that consists of cut hay, barley silage, flaked barley, minerals, rumensin, and probiotics. We feel this year has been a huge success in terms of getting the bulls to show their genetic potential without compromising soundness and longevity. Dr. Waylon Wise & team of CCHMS continues to be our long time vet for our overall herd health.
We want to thank everyone that has expressed an interest in our program and all the bidders and buyers. Your support means so much to us. We stand behind our product and are happy to show them to you at any time if you can not make it on sale day. As always, you can call us or any one of the Bohrson team for appraisal as well. Once again this year a video sale format will take place in our sale barn with DLMS being present for online viewing and bidding. Videos will be posted to Cattlevids.ca in mid February as well. We look forward to welcoming everyone at the farm or online on March 12th.

Cow/Calf Health and Management Solutions (CCHMS) works together with Deeg Simmental to manage their entire herd through an integrated and comprehensive health, nutrition and production management program. Detailed data is collected on each individual animal at all key health and production points and is kept in a secure web-enabled database called Herdtrax®. We continually monitor and audit this data and use this information to improve the health, welfare, performance and efficiency of the entire operation.
Disease Prevention
Deeg Simmental follows a detailed vaccination program to help ensure that the cattle stay healthy and continue to thrive after they’re delivered.
Calves are vaccinated within the first 10 days of life:
• IBR/PI3/BRSV (MLV) – Inforce 3® (intransal)
Calves are vaccinated in the spring prior to pasture turnout with the following:
• IBR/PI3/BRSV (MLV) – Inforce 3® (intransal)
• BVD (MLV) and Mannhaemia hemolytica – One Shot® BVD
• 7 way Clostridial and HIstophilus Somnus – Ultrabac® 7/ Somnubac®
Calves are vaccinated at weaning with the following:
• IBR/PI3/BRSV/BVD (MLV) and Mannhaemia – Bovi-Shield® GOLD One Shot®
• 7 way Clostridial and HIstophilus Somnus – Ultrabac® 7/ Somnubac®
• Parasite Control – Safe-Guard® initially, followed by Ivermectin in fall.
Replacement heifers are vaccinated pre-breeding:
• IBR/PI3/BRSV/BVD (MLV) – Bovi-Shield® GOLD FP®5 (Fetal Protection)
Cows, bred heifers, bulls are annually vaccinated post-breeding:
• IBR/PI3/BRSV/BVD (Killed) – CattleMaster® GOLD FP®5 (Fetal Protection)
Bulls prior to the sale have been vaccinated and treated with the following:
• Fusobacterium Necrophorum – Fusoguard™ (footrot and liver abscess vaccine)
• Two doses given twice 60 days apart
• Lice Control – Permethrin
Bulls prior to the delivery will be boostered, and ready for turnout:
• IBR/PI3/BRSV/BVD – Bovi-Shield® GOLD FP®5
Breeding Soundness Examination
Each bull has passed an extensive Bull Soundness Examination which includes soundness of structure, palpation of testis and internal sex glands, scrotal circumference, examination of the penis as well as verifying sufficient sperm motility and morphology. Bulls that are considered to be Satisfactory if they have already passed the above criteria at sale time. [Those bulls that are deemed as “Decision Deferred” are either prepubertal or stressed and are showing sufficient signs of improvement and likely will be satisfactory as soon as the days get longer and the grass get greener. There is considerable selection pressure placed on young bulls and 30% of all bulls will fail to produce an adequate sample at 12 mo., 15% at 14 mo., 5% at 16 mo. None of the decision deferred bulls will be delivered until they prove to be satisfactory breeder]
CCHMS is proud to work with Deeg Simmental and if there are any questions please contact me and I can always find the time to talk about cows, bulls and the Canadian cattle industry.
Congrats on another outstanding pen of bulls! Dr. Waylon Wise BSc. Ag, DVM

On Behalf of Bullseye feeds we are proud to be working with the team at Deeg Simmentals again this year on the development of the 2026 yearling sale bulls as well as the cowherd nutrition.
These yearling bulls are raised on high forage moderate energy diets with increased protein levels for optimal frame growth, muscle, and pubertal development throughout the critical growth stages of their lives. The bulls enter the feeding pens in September for preparation of the spring sale. These bulls are fed with medium energy, high protein diets to maintain ideal body condition, hair growth, hoof health, and structural integrity/longevity. The bulls are managed on a fully chelated mineral package balanced with the on farm available forages for optimum immunity and ideal semen quality. New this year included in the Bullseye premix is a product called CHROMIUM. Chromium activates the insulin receptors of a cell, allowing more glucose to enter the cell equating in more energy available to be absorbed into the bloodstream. This ingredient helps improve feed efficiency, increases protein accretion and improves immunity ensuring that the developed bulls on test are at peak health and performance levels when they are sent to your operation to get cows bred.
The Deeg Family invest their time and money into their nutrition program with one GOAL in mind. Satisfied, long-term customers! We encourage anyone and everyone to make the trip down to Strathmore AB to appraise this exceptional set of yearling bulls.
Best of luck on sale day!

DEEG BARON 97L
WFL Red Sage Sons
• These five maternal brothers are the real deal! They hit you with their power, presence and quality as soon as you walk in the pen. All uniquely different but all equally impressive
• Sage 506C continues to lead the way for production as her record only increases with top quality progeny! Many maternal sibs to these bulls have been past high sellers for multiple operations! Ultra/Barlee Leathal Weapon, Rusylvia Right Hand Man, NUG Excel are all full brothers to lots 1 & 2 who commanded the attention of cattlemen in spring of 2024. Another feature was a full sister we sold last fall in Friday Night Lights to Lewis Farms and Triangle K Simmentals for $65,000!
• The Rancher x Sage combo is one of the best we’ve seen and it’s easy to tell with these two brothers. Deep middle with a ton of rib shape, large testicals and that herd bull presence
• A full sister to lots 3,4, & 5 also highlighted the last Friday Night Lights sale fetching $50,000!
• The El Dorado cross to Sage we knew would be electric and these guys are proof! Unmatched in dimension from front to back that carry them to the top of the bull pen. They move so effortlessly for the amount of muscle they possess and do so on a big square hoof
• 20N is clean, stout, and long made. 25N is the powerhouse of the trio that drags you in to appreciate all the mass he has. 47N captivates you with his herd bull swagger and refined front third
