Camden Cattle Co. 14th Annual Simmental Bull & Heifer Sale with Guest Niwa Ranching Co. - New Brigde

Page 1

Welcome to the Sale...

Welcome to the 14th edition of the Camden Cattle Bull and Heifer Sale! We are pumped to showcase this years set of bulls and heifers! We are confident that this is our deepest and most consistent group of bulls to date. There is a good selection of real sound, stout, quiet, hairy, and good footed bulls. From power bulls to calving easy bulls and many in between.

They’ve been fed a balanced TMR ration consisting of silage, hay, and bull pellets from Trouw Nutrition. All the animals have been double vaccinated with Bovishield Gold and 7way. By sale time the bulls will have had two shots of Fusoguard to help with foot rot prevention.

The cowherd continues to evolve and be culled hard for feet, disposition, udder soundness and confirmation. Four more walking herd sires were added to this years lineup along with our four new AI sires. In total, sixteen different sires were used which has helped us to offer a very diverse group of bulls.

The females on offer are a fancy set of moderate framed red and black, easy doing heifers that will go on to be good producing cows in either a commercial or purebred herd. Five individual purebreds will sell. The rest will sell in uniform packages of 3-5.

Thank you to all the great people, family, and friends that have had a hand in helping to make our sale a success. From clipping day, to picture day, to video day ..to semen checking day and catalogue production. We owe a lot of gratitude and thank you’s!! And most importantly many, many THANKS go to our past buyers and bidders, and onlookers who have supported us through the years!! The trust and belief in our program makes all of this worthwhile and means the world to us!

Feel free to call one of us or better yet stop by anytime prior to the sale to view the bulls and visit. Darren has been through the animals and would be knowledgeable to answer questions you may have on our herd.

One more Thank you to The TRANSCON Team for getting our name out there and doing their part in promoting our livestock and our sale! If you can’t make the sale they’d be happy to assist you with picking out your next herd sire. The sale will be broadcasted live on DLMS.

We look forward to hosting you sale day for a wonderful lunch supplied by Kelly Skappak catering prior to the sale, and after for socializing, refreshments and snacks.

CHEERS from all of us at Camden!!

The Transcon Team Welcomes You ...

The Camden program, which by the way, is owned by absolute “salt of the earth” people, by the Jorgenson Families, raise cattle designed in the arid region of Eastern Alberta ranch country. You always find plenty of selection within many different sire groups that have been specifically chosen to work for their management. The bulls on offer, interestingly enough, are created from a cowherd larger than most people realize exists here. The point being, the final candidates are the best of a very large group born to that respective calf crop.

Niwa Ranching is an incredible partner for the Jorgrnsens. I always appreciate Louise’s honest appraisal of her cattle, meaning, she is her own worst critic, and is very subjective to improving the product, not ever making excuses, but rather, noting what may be flaws, then doing what she can genetically to advance.

Both programs offer outstanding heifers in this sale, some registered, but many sell as commercial replacements who not only have won pen shows but often go on to be high sellers in reputable bred heifer sales.

If you prefer to buy your bulls from great people, make sure you have this one on your list! If you can’t attend, but would like to participate, simply call any of our cell phones listed and we’ll be happy to appraise, bid and buy on your behalf. It’s confidential and conflict free, as we don’t own these cattle nor are we ever paid any bonus buying commissions. This has been a successful service that has proven to have buyer satisfaction and convenience.

Hope to see you at the sale,

Niwa Ranching Co. Welcomes You

Welcome to Camden Cattle’s 14th Annual Bull Sale, where I am honored and privileged to be invited back for the 4th year as a guest consignor.

2026 will be Niwa Ranching’s largest sale selection to date! On offer will be 22 bulls and 45 commercial open replacement heifers. My commercial and purebred herds are not babied! My stock must walk, perform, and survive in harsh environmental conditions. This includes continuous drought, massive pastures (consisting of several sections), no trees, and long distances between water sources. My purebreds are treated as equals with my commercial herd and are expected to survive and perform in the Rugged Ranch Environment I have chosen to call home. My goal is to produce ranch-type cattle selecting genetic traits essential for thriving in our adverse environmental conditions (feet and haircoat) and excel in key components essential to the profitability of the everyday ranching operation (maternal and performance).

One of the things I hear the most when folks walk through my pens is “these cows/bulls/heifers are quiet”. I spend a lot of time with my cattle and have “zero-tolerance” for a bad attitude. With most falling into the 5 start temperament rating, you will not find an animal with less than a 4-star temperament on the Niwa Ranch.

The bulls on offer have been moderately fed for slow and consistent growth. They have received a mixed ration consisting of 11 lbs Bulls Eye Bull Ration, grass hay and silage. The heifers have received 8 lb Bulls Eye Bull ration, grass hay and silage. Bulls and heifers are on a full herd health program overseen by Oyen Vet Services. They have been vaccinated with Merik Vison 8 Somnus with Spur, Vista Once. All bulls on offer have been Parent Verified, 100K, and polled tested.

New this year from the Niwa Ranch. Wherever possible, at the conclusion of each sale video, a closeup photo will be included, showcasing both front and back feet of the featured bull. This transparency offers prospective buyers-especially those unable to attend in person- with an additional resource for evaluating the bulls on offer.

The Simmental/Angus influence commercial open heifers are first-cut, reputation females. Included in the commercial offering are my Reserve Champion Pen from the Medicine Hat Pen Show. You won’t find a female for sale that I wouldn’t keep in my own herd. All heifers have been palpated and run with NO BRAND.

I would like to extend my gratitude to Lloyd and Sandra and their family for giving me the opportunity to sell alongside them once again and giving me the foundation on which to build my humble dream of raising purebred Simmental cattle. To my past buyers and bidders. Building a reputation from scratch in this industry is not an easy task. Thank you for your past purchases and believing in my cattle and my program. Lastly, a huge thank you to Darren the team at Transcon livestock. Your honest and professional sales management is so very much appreciated.

Stop by the ranch anytime to view my entire herd including mother cows, walking bulls and of course the Niwa Ranch line-up on offer at Camden Cattles 14th annual Bull Sale. Coffee is always on, and the beer is always cold!

Lot 52 - 501N

NIWA NINETY NINE 501N

HOMO POLLED

NIWA Ninety Nine 501N swung open the gate on my 2025 calving season with something spectacular. His Dam, AIA 256K is the top cow I managed to acquire from infamous Rendezvous dispersal and is ranked in the top 5% of all cows at the Niwa Ranch. 256K is a no-fault, medium frame cow with notably excellent feet and udder set.

Ninety Nine’s sire, Oakview Hershey 722H was a staple at Rendezvous when he was purchased in 2021 for $37,000-then turned around and demanded $43,000 as a mature herd sire on dispersal day!

If parentage and phenotype isn’t enough, the EPD’s on this guy should keep you awake at night! He glows green in 12 of the 13 measurable traits!

I contemplated until catalog deadline whether I would walk this guy in my own herd, but when Bridget said, “Time’s Up”, decided he would lead off in my 2026 line-up. This black-footed, mahogany-hided powerhouse will have you seeing stars come sale day. Semen has been drawn and retained for in-herd use.

LOT 53 and 54 ARE HOMO POLLED

These boys are out of my all-time favorite Meadow Acres cow MAF 55F. Phenotypically, her reference photo says it all. What you can’t see however is a set of big, black, chunky heels under her which puts the icing on the cake and is also what rifled her into “flush cow” status. The sire of these embryos American Red 99E offers calving ease, growth and above average EPD’s. You won’t get a quieter, better footed and more uniform set of bulls. Being mirror images of each other, they were chosen as my feature pen at the Oyen Beef Congress. If heifer retention is on your agenda, seriously consider these flush mates. Take one or take them both if you want consistency across your herd.

Lot 55 -521N

HETERO POLLED

Theres just something captivating about this crackled blaze that puts him on my favorite list. Maybe his appeal lies in his combination of desirable traits that I look for in my own herd sires. He is moderate in frame, stands low to the ground, has a chunky black foot, and an exceptional mahogany hair coat. His thickness and cool demeanor mimics his sire EGC Hitch 112H. His mother, MAF 164F is a beautifully uttered Meadow Acres cow.

HOMO POLLED

If you are looking for a performance powerhouse, then 518N screams your name! This large-framed stud sits in the top 10th percentile in both weaning and yearling weights. Being the heaviest bull in the pen, he tipped the scale at over 1400 lb before his first Birthday! He is sired by the Camden/Niwa co-owed blaze faced bull EGC Hitch 112H who can crank out these high performers time and time again. A 5-star disposition makes him even that much more attractive. His feminine Rancher Dam has a 5-star foot rating and 5-star udder set. 518N is the whole maternal/performance package. Retain every heifer and tip the scales with your steers! It doesn’t get much sweeter than that!!

HETERO POLLED

This black Katmandu 30K calf is one of the few calving ease sires on offer. He is smooth fronted and sits in the top 10th percentile for calving ease with a mere 82 lb birthweight. His mother is an attractive black blaze with excellent feet and udder.

HOMO POLLED

This stealth black bull has some stretch to him. Being out of Katmandu 30K, his numbers scream calving ease, and he sits in the green in most of the performance EPD’s. His mother NRC 313L is a quiet, moderate framed, cherry-red female that did well on her first attempt at motherhood.

Flush Brothers - Lots 59-61

If your next herd sire’s checklist includes exceptional bone, large foot, and personality plus, then check out these Tycoon 841F/614D flush brothers. Their mother TYS 614D is a large-framed, square-made female who has always been a standout since joining my herd from the Tymarc dispersal. She has passed her thickness, hair, and bone structure onto her sons-but not without the help of their sire SVS Tycoon 841F, who guarantees sure-fire performance EPD’s. These brothers sit in the green for most of the measurable traits but are a “rancher’s dream” with their top 15th percentile ranking for both weaning and yearling weights. If you’re shopping for consistency and performance in a group package, take home this trio with your 5% volume discount and call it a day of great buying!

HOMO POLLED

This embryo calf is the male version of his flush dam, TYS 614D. Like her, he is thick and exhibits substantial bone structure. One of his most fortunate inherited traits is his dam’s prominent black foot. His infamous black AI sire Walk this Way mixed well with this flush creating a well-balanced set of EPD’s and a stylish calf with some volume and growth.

HOMO POLLED

This black embryo calf out of the TYS 614/Walk This Way flush is stout and smaller framed. He comes from an excellent mix of performance from the dam, and proven genetic mastery from his infamous sire Walk This Way 224B. I appreciate this calf’s gentle nature, dark foot and thick hair coat.

HOMO POLLED

This larger framed calf mimics his mother TYS 86F when it comes to overall volume and bone mass. He is square butted and packs a nice pear-shaped set of nuts.

Potent son is out of a

This cow has been with me for

HOMO POLLED

“Well balanced” is the best way I can describe 513N. He is long bodied, square-made, and extremely quiet. His mother MAF 151G is a maternally packed cow with a beautiful udder and some built-in calving ease.

CIRCLE G LACOMBE 17L -

Chrome shoppers, check out these Mamba half brothers! Both are brought to you by tanky Meadow Acres cows that consistently bring home the keepers. Their sire, Champs Mamba 43K came to me in search of something a little different when it comes to pedigree. He has a shot of full fleck that genetically takes him off the beaten path. He is an attractively marked, excellent-footed powerhouse and has not disappointed in his ability to pass on his deep body, merlot color and deluxe chrome (but not too much chrome) package we are looking for. Bling up your calf crop with either of these flashy fellows!

HOMO POLLED

This stylish powerhouse screams performance and is just cool in every way! He is wide topped, huge middled and has a set of nuts to be proud of! His mother MAF 98F is a dark red cow that consistently brings the good one’s home in the fall. In my opinion, he” Walks the Next Line” in the sense of being a carbon copy of his $280,000 AI sire Walk the Line 92J.

HOMO POLLED

This purebred/fullblood combination really clicked with MAF 47F and SBV Reputation 707F. As you can see from her reference photo, MAF 47F is difficult to fault. Since owning her, she has only given me bull calves, and every year they make the top cut of the bull pen. This larger framed, dark hided, blaze adds a unique pedigree to the mix, and when you can get a shot of fullblood in a homo polled package, this guy can be described as something kind of special.

MADER WALK

HETERO POLLED

This larger framed performance bull came to me in utero in a well-balanced Alaska cow from the renowned Rendezvous dispersal. His EPD’s are in the high green in both performance and maternal traits. His extra horizonal length will come in handy when adding pounds to those steers in the fall. HOMO POLLED

Copper Nail 653N came to me in utero in a deep bodied Rendezvous cow and is the youngest bull on offer from the Niwa Ranch. If the mahogany shade is high on your priority list, then 563N should be circled in your catalog. He is smooth fronted, dark footed and has an attractively sculpted head. For some reason I just can’t put my finger on exactly what it is I love about this bull, but he sits high on my favorite list.
