EPD BREED AVERAGES 2026
On behalf of my family, I would like to make this your formal invitation to our 22nd Annual Bull Sale! Another year has somehow come and gone, and we are so excited for what 2026 has in store for us. We would like to thank those great folks around the country who take the time to view our program and show an interest in it. It is a truly remarkable industry, and it’s the people who make it so rewarding.
Again, we are very proud of the bull pen that we have assembled this year and think that every bull is worthy of your consideration. We believe in our cowherd and genetics that we have been compiling for 50 years! The bulls had a great summer altogether and we strive to make the best possible bulls for our valued friends and customers.

This year, we have almost all new bloodlines to choose from. The fullblood bulls are sired by the Liberator bull—they have surpassed all expectations and I think they will attract a lot of attention. They are liver red, have some added size, and come from awesome mother cows. In the red program, we have calves from Big Red and Rainmaker. Those two sires are really going to anchor our bull pen in the future for their extra thickness and functionality. The black program is led off by the Trailblazer calves, and then the Kodas. This is an impressive set of bulls that we think you will find really neat. We have an exciting group of calving ease bulls sired by our new herd sire from Erixon’s. The 86L calves are so dynamic, come small at birth, and just take off with growth!
When we talk about functionality, we believe that it’s important to take the time to grow the bulls. The bulls are weaned the first week of September, then are started on brown oats and hay. By November, they are transferred to a Total Mixed Ration, consisting of oat/barley silage, chopped hay, and pellets. It’s important that they look the part on sale day, but the real goal is getting them to your yards looking their very best and in the right condition to settle cows. I really feel that these bulls are in the perfect shape to have a lengthy career for you. This year we used the Omega Pellet from New Life Mills at Clavet and it has proven to be beneficial for overall gut health and organ health with key vitamins and minerals. If we can be of any assistance, please get in contact with us. We are available at all hours of the day. Feel free to come for a visit and a tour of the bulls! It gives us time to really get to know you and visit! We again, as always, have DLMS for online bidding. Videos will be available in February! Dad and I would be thrilled to help in any way!
Again, we are thrilled to have Ryan auction the sale. Hurlburt is one of the most genuine, honest, and humble humans you will ever meet. Shay will also be here prior to the sale—get in touch with him for a second opinion; he knows his cattle! Dory and Kim will be here working ringside. We believe these sales staff are the most honest in the business, both of whom have been through the bull pen! Thanks again to all the great people in our life that make things roll smoothly here. There are a lot of familiar faces that you’ll see here on many days of the year. Dwayne and Kim will be around, and to all the people that help with silage, harvest, and working cattle, thank you! Mom & Dad work a lot harder than most people, and without them, I would hate to see how different things would be around here! I am very fortunate to have them here to help keep things going. They enjoy their time at the lake and are always back when it’s time to work.
Thanks to my lovely lady Ashley—without her, day-to-day life wouldn’t be as fun and I wouldn’t laugh as much as I do with her. She is one of the hardest working people that I have ever met. Her determination and never-quit attitude is one that I really admire. It’s not the easiest way to make a living but it’s very rewarding in the end with someone that you love.
Please consider this your personal invitation to our Annual Bull Sale on February 27, 2026! Join us in person or on DLMS.ca! We can’t wait to pull in your driveways with bulls loaded on the trailer!
Best Regards,

HETERO POLLED. PUREBRED. I always start the catalogue with a calf that I think would work for many different cattle producers. This one has really tugged at my heart strings, and I think that he would add a lot of important characteristics to a cowherd. The day he was born I thought, “My god I think this one will be cool next year.” A February 7th calf that can stand up with the older bulls and is a great representation of the type of bulls we strive to produce. His Dam, 67H is a black baldie female who raised a nice bull a few years back to Aumack Simmentals and Cody Adamson. When you come tour the bull pen, this is one that sticks out like a sore thumb. He is deep and soggy, super stout, and big barrelled. The Robb sire makes some big, nutted sons. 132N is one that I think is so right for today’s cattle business that I think would be beneficial to use in our own program. Retaining 50 Straws for In-Herd Use.

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. Another Big Red son who adds power and thickness! Another good individual off a black baldie female that we purchased from the Quinn Wilson dispersal. If you see the Robb bull in person, you would really appreciate him for his extra hair coat, his overall softness, and the feet underneath him. 109N has that extra swagger about him and is stellar when you analyze him in the pen. Deep ribbed, super soft made, these Big Reds I will add some thickness! Use this one on some Angus or Simmental females and you’ll be keeping every daughter and making steers that will do very well in a feedlot scenario. 2

HOMO POLLED
3/4 BLOOD SIMMENTAL
I swear I should have taken these three Big Red calves to a pen show! Long bodied, soft made, and super functional is what all three are like. This guy is big haired, large nutted, and off a nice black cow! We decided to use Big Red on the black cows on cleanup after A.I. and boy did he make a nice group of calves. Look at his weaning weight! Remarkable considering he is just a February 8Th calf! Typical Big Red type of cattle, many astute cattlemen have commented on how great the sire is. Heavy muscled and big barrelled, this is the type of bull that we strive to produce.

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. If you can find a calf off a better cow than this one, I’ll be shocked! Off an awesome 16F daughter and our lovely donor cow family! Unfortunately, this will be the only Landmark son we will ever have again. We lost the Landmark bull to injury, and he ran heavily on females off the handful that we got last winter. This one is built like a body builder! Big capacity, deep as you can build them, and a soft made individual. A nice 89 lb birthweight and an extremely respected weaning weight, this one has cow power behind him!

HETERO POLLED. PUREBRED. A few years back, this guy’s sire started the bull sale and sold to our good friends at 777! We liked him so much, Tyler drew semen on him, and we have been utilizing him in our own program! 47N has been an absolute standout all year long and he comes from a beautiful black baldie female! This guy came small at 91 lbs and weaned off the cow at 975 lbs! Just goes to show that the biggest females, don’t always raise the biggest calves. Great moderate framed, medium sized females are likely the ones to bring in the highest cheque! A unique pedigree that I think will be outgross to many people! Hairy, stout, and highly marked on Corey’s list!

If you are unable to attend the sale but are interested in the offering, please give Corey or Alan a call and we will personally go over which bulls we think would work in your operation. Call prior to the sale to discuss what we have to offer.

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. To my surprise, I thought last year was the last time we would see a Freadey son! Just happens that he bred one last female prior to his injury. When you find 46N, you will notice how wide topped, deep hipped, and just a typical beef bull! Another heavy weight in the bull pen, pulled off the cow at 930 lbs. We decided to change things up a bit and breed a large majority of the black females to red bulls. Fresh set of pedigrees! His Dam 5E comes from our favourite Shalimar cow family, and off the great Black Beard bull that we owned and walked for many years. A pedigree that has kept the lights on! Solid bull, solid pedigree!

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. Well, if there is anything to know about 137N, it’s that his mother is a complete goddess. She is truly royalty at Blushrose and I wish I had 300 cows like her. Feminine, yet broody, pictureperfect udder, and has a very impressive track record! She knocked it out of the park again with this guy. Maternal brothers have sold to Weiss Cattle Company, Tyler Applin, and North Creek Simmentals. Likely I will flush her for the rest of her life! A Randy calf who I think has a lot to offer to the most critical cattlemen! He is going to make some flawless females, and even better steers. Ranked #2 out of all the bulls, an impressive weaning weight of 930 lbs and a modest 89lb birthweight. Do yourself a favour and track this one down in the bull pen!

to “Your name goes here”

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. This one is a sought-after bull in the pen that has a beautiful blaze face. His mother is a hard-working H female who consistently produces year after year. This year she caught right up from February calving to Jan 1 calving! Big time brood female who has an outgross pedigree! Another Randy calf who will add some size, pounds, and length! I think it’s important to maintain frame while keeping the depth and thickness that so many cattle have in this industry. A full sibling sold in last year’s bull sale to Lakeview Colony, who was also a identical baldie! Consistency, consistency, consistency.

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. A few years back we went to the Werstroh Disperal and picked up some females that we felt would fit in with our own. This Randy calf is off one of those females and is hammering away at production! We bought females that were off our own genetics in the Absolute 806F son that we sold to Randy years ago. This pedigree screams longevity, at which his grandmother is still rocking hard at the ripe age of 16! Another later February calf who continues to make strides. While picturing the bulls, 138N was very fond of Ashley and always made time to go visit her at the gate. Docile cattle that do well in the big world. Big time steer maker here!

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. APPROVED FOR HEIFERS. Couple years back we were on the hunt for a calving ease bull. We came across 86L at Erixon’s and figured he would be one that would work for building calving ease bulls! He surpassed all expectations and when people tour our bull pen, they can’t tell which ones are calving ease and which ones are the power bulls! This one came unassisted at 85 lbs and weaned off his young mother at 875 lbs! They are as thick as you can build them but have nice small heads! They check a lot of boxes with their dark hair coats, and smooth shoulders!

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. APPROVED FOR HEIFERS. Another 86L son that I think has one of the nicest females behind him. 6L is a solid black coloured female who has the nicest udder and has a double shot of calving ease! Another Shalimar female who has really been a big factor in building our black cow numbers! 3N has an interesting demeanor, he will be the first one to come to the gate and is super quiet and kind. He loves to bellar and make friends from across the fenceline. You need to see these 86L sons in person to really admire them!

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. APPROVED FOR HEIFERS. Likely a person could sell choice on all these Top Tier sons and pick out of a hat, and you’d get the best bull. This type of consistency on a year 1 calf crop is hardly ever seen. This guy fits the list easily for me and his mother is a great reason to set your sale on this lot. The Satin cow family has been outstanding for us and some of the nicest and square udders you will find. If you notice throughout the catalogue, there‚Äôs no one hit mothers, this cowherd has been built on cow families for close to 50 years! Perfect set of feet on this guy and extremely soft made. Another high-ranking Calving Ease bull that’s going to be perfect on a nice group of heifers or younger cows.

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. APPROVED FOR HEIFERS. This is another big haired, dark liver red calf off Top Tier that likely is my favourite. I enjoy breeding cattle that are coloured and built like this. His dam was purchased on the lead off pair at the Werstroh Dispersal where we bought 68L along with her dam 3H. Nice small birthweight of 83 lbs, another bull that will calve easy but be extremely growthy. Not too often can you see a first calf heifer wean off a calf at 925lbs! He is ranked high in the calving ease EPD and one that is going to really knock it out of the park. Come see his Dam in person, we feel she is the ideal type and kind of cow that we strive to build a cowherd around. You’ll know he’s the real deal once you get in the pen with him.
THE 2025-BORN BULLS WERE WEIGHED ON SEPTEMBER 20, 2025

HETERO POLLED. PUREBRED. The Rainmaker bulls have been a nice addition to the bull pen this year. When he showed up for his first breeding year, he was just 12 months of age. He went to work on a few different types of females to see what he would work on, and in the end, every bull calf made the sale. This guy is even better in person Some size, frame, and a ton of length. A brother sold in last year’s sale to Prairie Hill Farms who was also a high selling bull! Big testicle development and going to get out and breed a lot of cows this spring!

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. Another solid made Rainmaker son that’s going to make a big impact down the line. The bloodline is another one of those combos off a great Freadey daughter. The Carrington cow family is one that’s impactful in our herd, and one that really makes the right kind. A splash of Anchor D Black Beard in the back means you’re in for some longevity and performance. This guy is great footed and as well-mannered as you can raise them. Deep flanked, powerful middle on him, and going to hold together well in the pasture breeding cows.

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. Another fluffy made Rainmaker. It’s hard to write footnotes on a set of calves that is so consistent and wonderful. This one is deep in his makeup and super loose hided. The hair on this one can’t be beat, born with tons of fur and flesh! His dam is a moderate made cow that really keeps up with the cows in their prime. The calves off the Freadey daughters have that kick of calving ease and makes them dual purpose. They come small and just take off with growth.

HETERO POLLED. PUREBRED. The Rainmakers are starting to become very talked about and relevant here! Another powerful and wide topped individual that screams cow bull. The cow family behind this one is royalty for us, 307A and has raised numerous bulls that have gone on to make huge strides at fellow cattlemen‚Äôs herds. A favourite that comes to mind is the brother who sold to Werstroh Farms and ended up siring close to 50 females that were in their dispersal. We loved that guy so much we ended up buying a trailer load of those sired females from the sale. Another son sold to our great friends Brendon and Rheann Alm. Smaller 89 lb birthweight but off the cow at 870 lbs. Don’t forget this momma cow is 12 years old. Longevity, longevity, longevity! The homework is done here!

HOMO POLLED. 3/4 BLOOD. This guy has got some jam! I really appreciate the long spine and big top on him. He is a big character in the pen of bulls and I really think that he will do one of the best jobs at getting some big cows bred. Rainmaker crossed with the BRSF 41K cow really came with a bang. His mother is a wonderful female who has a nice udder and can really raise a calf! She gave us 895 lb weaning weight as a second calver! Genetics that make a huge impact early in a career. 101N has tons of characteristics you will admire. Come find out for yourself!

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. This one is sure to find some friends on sale day. Another one to add to the Rainmaker pen. This one is as soggy made and soft as you can likely design one. Off the great Lady Latifah cow family, he has a skiff of fleck way back in the pedigree which makes for some performance and growth. 44K is another Freadey daughter that makes this calf so much more desirable. 84 lbs at birth and another great weaning weight off grass. The Rainmaker calves are right for the times and easy doing fleshy calves!

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. Part of the reason we bought Rainmaker was because we really needed it to rain! Lets just say he made it happen, and also made it rain on the calves he sired! Another son that we absolutely love. Soft made, fleshy, and going to work extremely well on some nice young cows. His Dam was purchased as a bred heifer in the Werstroh dispersal. She is a dark liver red, awesome milking and mothering capabilities, and one that I think will be around for a very long time. 98N has a lot of future ahead of him.

Big time haired, tons of top, and the definition of a beef bull! This Liberator calf shows how good the Simmental breed crosses between reds, and fullbloods are. He comes from the great Emma cow family that you will notice throughout the catalogue. His Dam 847F was a great female that we had for many years and assembled quite the female factory with many heifers being retained! We unfortunately lost her due to injury this fall. This one is likely to go out and work for a few different types of operations. Building females around or putting dollars in your pockets! 6N is a looker!

HETERO POLLED. FULLBLOOD. NON-DILUTER. Likely if you asked Dad, this would be his favourite pair all summer on grass. The great 116F female he purchased from Diamond T many years ago. This calf has been remarkable from day one! Driving past the bull calf pairs, you’d find this one every time. The great Liberator Bull we purchased from Crossroad Farms worked incredibly well his first season. His calves will add a touch

Another Liberator bull that is off a fantastic fleckvieh cow from Swantewitt’s. Her mother is so good at raising bulls, one of her sons is in Quebec working at the great Ferme Bilodeau Des Etoiles in Iverness, Quebec! While her other calf started the bull sale two years ago and sold to our great friends at Lakeview Colony. Come see him and his mother in person, it will truly be worth the drive! Power bull time!

HORNED. FULLBLOOD. NON-DILUTER. The great Liberator and Elliott cross is seeming to work! Elliot was used for many years. His females had the highest quality of udders, and udder placement, and he raised sons that went all over Canada and the United States. Another son off the great 30H Andrea cow that loves to put bulls in the most prominent commercial herds! Couple years back her bull calf started the bull sale and sold to KG Land & Cattle at Gadsby, AB. The performance in these fullblood bulls is incredible and consistent. His grandma 308A is still producing calves at the prime age of 15! Top end pedigree with years and years of proven genetics here!

HORNED. FULLBOOD. NON-DILUTER. Another awesome Liberator calf that shows extremely desirable characteristics to be a topquality herd bull. Dark liver red and off a neat female. His Dam is a big barreled, beautiful and colored just like 78N himself. She comes from the great Elliott bull that we purchased years ago form R-Five that raised some perfect uddered females and big-time bulls. If you’re in search of a bull with some power and maternal strengths, mark this one down and come find him for yourself.

HORNED. FULLBLOOD. NON-DILUTER. The quality of these Liberator continues, and this is one that sure possesses those much sought after qualities. His Dam is one of the best fullblood cows that we have ever witnessed, coming from the M&S Dispersal as a heifer calf! If you find her on the farm, you will think she’s very young and just beginning her career, meanwhile, she’s producing as hard as any other cow we have seen. 70N fits into this group of bulls extremely well and I think if you see these pen mates together, you will try and nab a few! Surely, 70N will add pigment and many maternal aspects!

HORNED FULLBLOOD. NON-DILUTER. Look at this fella! Big wrap around goggles and a very large moustache! You’ll notice by the picture how easy fleshing and soft made 96N is, not to mention his incredible hair coat. I truly think that cattle with heavy wavy hair will always rise superior in the Western Canadian climate. Notice the age of his momma, she’s 12 and still going strong! She came in-dam that was bought from the Anchor D Pasture Treasures Sale. Back to the great Eagle Ridge Yukon and a splash of Gibby’s TNT on the bottom side, these are some old school genetics that work! Free moving and functional, this one will get the job done!

HORNED FULLBLOOD. NON-DILUTER. This guy I must say has worked the hardest to get to the bull sale catalogue! He had a relatively harder summer after his Dam 21K over centered in the pasture and died. Sad times for sure, but 43N dug in deep and said, “hold my beer.” Yes, I could have gotten a better picture of him, but if you notice his pedigree, and in person presence, you’ll see the potential he really has. Another Elliott Dam, and back to the great True Grit bull, this one is truly stacked on paper!

ANCHOR D JERICK 460J

HORNED. TRADITIONAL PUREBRED. May I say this one is the stoutest of the entire catalogue this year! My lordy, he moves like a jungle cat and flaunts his stuff. Does he have a hint of white on his topline? Sure. Is he an absolute steer maker? Ahhh yeah! He is the only Anchor D Jerick son to sell in the sale. He had a couple neat groups of sons sell the past 2 or 3 years and boy did they overachieve! This one is the definition of a beef bull! His mother is another fabulous C cow that is a big-time brood cow and built like a boat! If you phone looking for a bull, I’m going to mention this one for sure. A maternal sibling sold to Mark & Stacey Sagon and Tyler Applin.

HETERO POLLED. FULLBLOOD. NON-DILUTER. Occasionally, we throw a straw of Radium in to calve a fleckvieh heifer. Here is the result of that! This one’s bloodlines have proven to be sought after, after siring many high sellers over the course of the last 10 years or so. 36N has been a standout since birth and really showed great promise early on in his life. His mother is a beautifully uddered female that puts maternal strengths to work. 36N is a long spined individual who really should work well in a variety of different operations. He weaned off his Dam at 860 lbs!

HOMO POLLED. HETERO BLACK. PUREBRED. There is a very valid reason for 11N to start out the black division! I think this one is a national treasure and truly shouldn’t be selling him. He puts all the good things together when I look at him. Very flashy, hairy, smooth made but a little rugged, and one of the best footed bulls I’ve been fortunate to raise. They truly don’t come put together like this very often. His pedigree is the most intriguing. A mix of some of the best black, red, and fleckvieh genetics in the Simmental business. Genetics that have kept showing up year after year. His dam was purchased out of the Spring Creek Sale several years ago and we were thrilled when she walked off the trailer. I feel as though 11N is on the must-see list. If he makes it to the sale and I don’t pull him out to keep for myself, I would be crazy. This one is so right for the times that we would like to incorporate him into our program. Retaining 50 Straws for In-Herd Use Only.

HETERO POLLED. HOMO BLACK. 3/4 BLOOD. Another Trail Blazer who is a big-time power bull. 10N is one of the biggest topped and beefiest bulls in the offering. He is off a good black female who is distinguished due to her udder ability and over all femininity. I believe the most important thing behind these sale bulls is that they have a proud and powerful cow behind them! 10N is as solid as they come and super stout. From the tail to the muzzle, this one is going to do some great things down the road. Bred for the commercial man, with an ideal type of cow. 10N will be in the black power pen come sale day and for good reason!

HOMO POLLED. HOMO BLACK. PUREBRED. Another Trailblazer calf off our future donor cow. Last year’s maternal brother held his own as he was the high selling black bull sold to R3 Cattle at Breton, AB. That brother was so unique that we retained semen for in herd use and are planning to utilize him this spring heavily. His dam, 94F is a flawless female who we picked up from the Werstroh Disperal where she started the black portion of their sale! She just dropped another heifer calf first day of January and yes, another black baldie. She loves to produce and her calves are always the cream of the crop. Another one that will find the right home and do some good!

HETERO POLLED. HOMO BLACK. PUREBRED. Trailblazer does it again! This one is long spined, little more frame, and powerful. He comes from the great Tori cow family that is royalty here. There are so many of these females who make up the cow family that I lost count of how many there are! 82E produced a bull that sold to Lakeview Colony and continues to produce multiple baldie females retained in the herd. Big barrelled and super powerful female behind 41N. She is a bull maker!

HOMO POLLED. HETERO BLACK. PUREBRED. APPROVED FOR HEIFERS. We are thrilled to have a couple black bulls that would work on heifers or first and second calvers! They are going to calve extra well and keep those birthweights lower. 90N is a stout fella that is deep and hairy with a really nice muzzle. He is off a real fancy first calving female off our walking bull Midland who we bought from Maxwells. The grandma cow, 60D is still here in the herd and one we purchased from the Stoughton Dispersal many years ago. The 86L Top Tier calves are some of the nicest fellas we have raised!

HOMO POLLED. HETERO BLACK. 3/4 BLOOD SIMMENTAL. APPROVED FOR HEIFERS. Another chance to acquire a black Top Tier calving ease bull. This one came super small with a big shot of vigour! 85 lb birthweight and off a RF Jaguar female. Jaguar was used successfully for many years in our heifer pen. Last year Jaguar raised the high selling bull in our sale! The 14L dam is a black baldie female who is very feminine and has a great amount of mothering ability. 67N has a great hoof under him and is extremely smooth and attractive in his throat and neck structure. Nice small head and clean shoulders. Calving ease bull that will make growthy calves!

HOMO POLLED. HETERO BLACK. PUREBRED. APPROVED FOR HEIFERS. 29N will calve heifers so easily you can sleep and have a peaceful winter or spring! A direct calf off RF Jaguar and one of the coolest cow families we have. The Affair cow family is known for having smaller BW calves that get up and go. Perfect udders under these females, which makes them very ideal in my opinion. This one has the nicest head for calving heifers and is stylish and smooth. The Jaguar and Midland combination really pulls it all together into one very impressive genetic pool.

HETERO POLLED. HETERO BLACK. PUREBRED. Few years back we decided to buy a few semen packs on some black bulls. We picked up some LRX Sterling semen because of his genuine foot structure, and how well designed he was. They ran mostly females, and this is the only male we ended up getting! He is likely the deepest, soggiest, and most rugged black bull in the offering. His dam was a female we purchased from the Terron Bull Sale. Big time power female that really adds some jam to her calves. Use him on many different colors of females and types and the outcome will be nothing but positive. He is an easy one to justify buying!

HOMO POLLED. HOMO BLACK. PUREBRED. Different pedigree then was used to with this one. We have a few stout, soggy and deep Koda calves! They are absolute bricks and go back to the great Lotto bull from Spring Creek that was world renowned. 66N was the heaviest bull at weaning time this fall and likely to hang at the top going into the spring. Heavy muscled and extra stout is how I would describe this guy. The black pen this year is likely our best and 66N is going to be the most growthy and make some remarkable steers. Take advantage of a new pedigree!

HETERO POLLED. HETERO BLACK. This one has been an absolute stud since being born. He grew very quickly and is admired by many. He is the second Koda calf in the sale that we used on a few cows, and we are greatly impressed by the power and performance that they have. He is off a nice Parkhill cow that was purchased from the Quinn Wilson Dispersal. She has worked hard for us and we are glad we acquired her when we could. Another impressive weaning weight of 930lbs off the cow. He is ranked quite high in my eyes.

HOMO POLLED. HETERO POLLED. PUREBRED. SELLS WITHOUT PAPERS. A really good two-year-old bull with that money stripe. This guy is off of a really great cow that is in the spring calving program and just so happens to be off one of our home raised herd sires 158J. His dam 145G is one of the biggest middled females that we have and great milking ability. Its typically hard to find older bulls and we feel that this is one that should really work, extra size and length.

HETERO POLLED. 1/2 BLOOD SIMMENTAL ON CSA. A solid made long yearling that is going to make a really big impact for someone. One designed this way is ideal for the most progressive cattlemen. Daughters off one like this will be worth a fortune and steers will be a big bag of cash when you haul them in the next fall! This guy’s very sound, strong footed, and as stout as you can make them. I love the skeleton on this one for his overall width and appeal.

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. A good Landmark son that was destined for the 2025 Bull Sale but due to an injury, he couldn’t be sold. He is back and better than ever and we are happy with the two-year-olds on offer. The Landmark sons aren’t the largest in the pen, frame wise, but substance and sogginess is where they take the lead. This guy is off a broody female that did a fantastic job on this young herd bull prospect. 150M has always been an easy doer and easy keeper. He always looks the part and I think some lucky cattlemen will really appreciate this one when he steps off the trailer. Buy with confidence with this one.

HETERO POLLED. PUREBRED. Another Randy son that will get some cows bred. Much like his sire, he is heavy haired, long made, and a great hoof under him. He is off a red baldie female that has a splash of fleck in the back. We feel that he has a mix of power, but also came small at birth. The cow is coloured just like 27M. 830 lb weaning weight off a more moderate framed cow. 27M was a later bloomer due to last year’s terrible cold weather. A little too much cold stress meant he didn’t quite make it to his destined breeding pasture. He is ready to rock and ready to settle those cows! Don’t be afraid, we have all the faith in the world of him.

HOMO POLLED. PUREBRED. I really appreciate this one with his softness and muscle. He has a beautiful skeletal makeup and comes from the great Houston cow family. This cow family is one of the highest grossing cow families that we have. His maternal grandmother is the cow that produced the great 17H Cash bull that sold to Cole and Landon Weiss at Maple Creek. His Dam 138J is a flawless female off the Car Bomb bull that we had from Mappins a few years ago. A smaller 88 lb birthweight will make him work great on a wide variety of females, big, small, young or old. He will get the cows settled and make some consistent calves. 147M was in our 2025 Sale where he sold to our great friends and neighbours, and he ended up not needing him. We used him ourselves on some cows on cleanup and thought that he could Anchor the pen of two-year-olds. Extra size, extra age, extra cows will get bred!
We evaluate each herdbull prospect for calving ease, this is determined by birthweight, pedigree, bone structure, and EPD’S. If you have any questions about a bull, and his calving ease, please contact Corey!

KEITH AUBREY BLODER
February 3,1932 – November 25, 2025 | 93 Years Old
This past November, we lost our great Uncle Keith. Keith was an incredible human being and one of the big reasons that we have Simmental Cattle to this day. He started it all, alongside Grandpa Karl. He began to breed his Hereford and Shorthorn females to Simmental Bulls in the mid 1970’s. He felt that this breed had so much to offer and was incredibly pleased with the first calves. From that moment, Blushrose Simmental Farm began in 1977 with the Canadian Simmental Association. I was very fond of Keith and his stories from his years in the business, the people that he met, and the places that he sold cattle to. He had a love and a passion for the Simmental Breed, that we still carry on with to this day. It’s been 49 years since Keith registered his first Simmental with our tattoo “BRSF,” and over 50 years that this great breed has been in our herd! Keith will forever be known by more than just his family, as “Uncle Keith.”

Example: A non-diluter bull mated to a black cow won’t have a gray calf. Will either be red or black.
EPD TERMS DEFINED BY THE CANADIAN SIMMENTAL ASSOCIATION
CE - CALVING EASE
The ease with which a bull’s calves are born to first calf heifers. A first calf heifer is defined as a female calving for the first time at 33 months of age or less. EPDs are reported as the expected difference in unassisted calvings. When comparing calving ease EPDs of two sires, the larger EPD indicates a higher percent of unassisted births for calves sired by this bull.
BW - BIRTH WEIGHT Calf weight at birth adjusted to a mature dam equivalent. Expected progeny performance is reported in pounds. The EPD value predicts the difference in average birth weight of a bull’s calves, compared to calves of all other bulls evaluated. When comparing the birth weight EPDs of two sires, the larger EPD indicates a heavier average birth weight for calves sired by this bull.
WW - WEANING WEIGHT Calf weight taken between 160 and 250 days of age and adjusted to 205 days of age and a mature dam equivalent. Expected progeny performance is reported in pounds. The EPD value predicts the difference in average 205-day weight of an animal’s calves compared to calves of all other animals evaluated. When comparing the weaning weight EPDs of two sires, the larger EPD indicates a heavier average weaning weight for calves sired by this bull.
YW - YEARLING WEIGHT Weight taken between 330 and 440 days of age and adjusted to 365 days of age and a mature dam equivalent. Expected progeny performance is reported in pounds. The EPD value predicts the difference in average 365-day weight of an animal’s progeny, compared to the progeny of all other animals evaluated. When comparing the yearling weight EPDs of two sires, the larger EPD indicates a heavier average yearling weight for calves sired by this bull.
MWW - MATERNAL WEANING WEIGHT The weaning weight of an animal’s daughters’ calves. Expected progeny performance is reported in pounds. The EPD value predicts the difference in average 205-day weight of an animal’s daughters’ calves compared to calves from daughters of all other animals evaluated. The evaluation reflects both the maternal ability of an animal’s daughters and the growth potential of their calves. When comparing maternal weaning weight EPDs of two sires, the larger maternal weaning weight EPD indicates heavier weights due to daughters’ ability to produce heavier calves.
MCE - MATERNAL CALVING EASE
The ease with which a sire’s daughters calve as first calf heifers. A first calf heifer is defined as a female calving for the first time at 33 months of age or less. Expected progeny differences are reported as the difference in % unassisted calving’s. When comparing the maternal calving ease EPDs of two sires, the larger EPD indicates a higher percentage of unassisted births for calves born to this sire’s daughters. Maternal Calving Ease = 1⁄2 of the CE EPD + Maternal Calving Ease.
MILK - MATERNAL MILK
The maternal ability of an animal’s daughters. Expected progeny performance is reported in pounds of calf weaning weight. The EPD value predicts the difference (due to maternal ability) in average 205-day weight of an animal’s daughters’ calves, compared to calves of daughters of all other evaluated animals. When comparing the maternal milk EPDs of two sires, the larger maternal milk EPD indicates heavier average weaning weights due to the daughters’ greater maternal ability.
