Recommendation For Calving Ease & Performance

Please consider our recommendations as breeders when shopping for a bull. We have spent years calving these cows and have been tracking their traits and genetics. Calving ease should not be biased on only BW, we also consider calving records of dam and sire. Body frame and bone structure of each bull, and genetic consistency. This is our first trial using this system, we want to make purchases more simplistic for our clients.

WELCOME Blazin J Simmentals VJV Marketing Group

Welcome to the 3rd annual Blazin J Simmental Bull and Female Sale. On behalf of Darcy, Caitlyn, and Dwayne, we appreciate your interest in our sale and thank you for browsing this catalogue. We are very proud of the bulls we’re offering this year. After five years of listening to feedback from our customers, we believe we now have the quality and type you’ve been seeking. This year, we’ve made some changes by crossing more Fullblood cows with Homozygous Black Bulls and pairing black cows with Fullblood bulls. Our greatest results have come from the F1 (31/32) black bulls, especially those with the signature white money stripe.

These bulls might be our most distinctive and vibrant selection yet. You’ll notice an unusually high number of heifers calving in January. In February 2024, we purchased a SJWW Kitimat Heifer bull that we simply could not wait to use. Acting on impulse, Darcy introduced our new bull to selected heifers, which led us to have our first group of heifers calving in January again after a four-year break.

To ensure our cattle are both functional and well-adapted to their environment, we only select females that excel in the challenging Northern climate. By using some of our own home-raised sires, we’ve produced superior females that breed earlier and help us develop higher quality bulls. We also take great care when purchasing herd sires, always striving to bring the proven genetics into our pastures. Many of the sires we’ve utilized come from highly reputable breeders in the industry, such as “Wolf’s Fleckvieh”, “Triangle Stock Farms”, “KSL Simmentals”, and “Chittick Farms.”

Our bulls are raised primarily on high roughage diets and kept in spacious pens, so they have plenty of room to move. The fact that over 80% of our customers return year after year is a testament to the quality of our feeding program. We pay close attention to every detail when it comes to feeding and management. Each bull we sell is guaranteed to be structurally sound and to have passed a semen test administered by a licensed veterinarian. We deeply appreciate all the support from our customers over the years. It’s always rewarding to guide both new and returning customers through our bull pens, as meeting people is one of the most enjoyable aspects of our business. Many of these connections have grown into lasting friendships. If you need help choosing your bulls, feel free to call, or even better, visit our farm before the sale. If you’re not completely satisfied, please let us know and we’ll address your concerns right away.

We extend our best wishes and congratulations to our new guest consignor, Montana Fogle of Blondie Cattle CO, for her exceptional bull “MJ.” It has truly been a pleasure to work with and support such a dedicated young woman. We look forward to many great experiences together and have full confidence in the quality of the bulls and heifers she has consigned. Thank you also to the Landaker’s; Alan and Shelly; for once again adding bred heifers to our sale. Year after year, we enjoy featuring these strong Charolais heifers at our event.

Wow! Was 2025 a great year to be in the cattle business and the momentum is carrying over into 2026 to make it another barn burning cattle market. With cattle prices at an all time high this is a great time to purchase some new outcrossed genetics or to upgrade your current genetics program both on a purebred and commercial level and this sale is a great opportunity to do so.

The VJV livestock marketing group is excited to welcome everyone to the 3rd annual Blazin’ J Simmental Bull and Female Sale. Darcy and Caitlyn have spent a lot of time researching genetics and are continually looking to upgrade their bull offering by first listening to their clients, secondly the market place and thirdly throughout the Simmental industry.

This sale includes an exceptional group of bulls with pedigrees to match that would complement any seed stock operators or commercial cattle breeders. After 3 years of selling Blazin J bulls it has been encouraging to see these bulls perform in the breeding pastures, have feet that last through the dry conditions and sire some exception purebred and commercial calves tipping the scale at auctions and converting in the feedlot with high success. Another group of fancy Simmental heifers will be offered in this year’s sale which would compliment any herd.

Guest consignor Landaker Charolais will be back in the sale this year offering some exceptional purebred Charolais heifers that are head turners each year and garnish a lot of attention with exception pedigrees. Blazin J is also excited to announce the addition of Blondie Cattle Co as another guest Consignor. Montana Fogle has been a great supporter of the sale since its conception and is offering her first purebred yearling Charolais bull to this year’s sale. This bull has lots of depth and eye appeal.

Last years sale had bidding participation from across Canada and the United States and saw bulls going across North America. To accommodate buyers from across Canada and the United States this sale will again be broadcasted online by DLMS and VJV Online. We work with livestock transport and export companies across North America so buy with confidence that the VJV Livestock Marketing Group and Blazin J Simmentals will ensure your purchases are handled and delivered with the strict care and responsibly in a timely manner.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the sale or online. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

This black bull is a standout in our sale lineup, recognized as one of the most robust bulls in the group. He is well-structured, has an excellent hair coat, and displays an outstanding temperament. Whether you’re looking for early maturing steer calves or replacement heifers that will impress any cattleman, this versatile sire fits the bill. Expect him to be popular on sale day! We bought his dam Starwest Gazelle at the 2021 SimPower and have been very satisfied with her offspring.

DAM - STARWEST GAZELLE

A pen standout for his length, hip, depth, and width. 137N also features the sought-after money stripe. His dam, originating from the Wolfe program, she is a big robust cow, with a square udder and hardy big feet. Cows like her are highly valued in our herd for their productivity.

This unique breeding is a mix of old with the new genetics. BLI Warlord was known for traits such as thick tops, deep bodies, and excellent muscling. His lineage also tracks back to a noticeable name in the Simmental history books “Emperor”. Sheriff possesses a combination of impressive genetics and physical attributes that set him apart in the herd. His overall structural soundness ensures longevity and durability, while his eye appeal makes him a standout choice for breeders. This bull is well-suited for both commercial and purebred operations, reflecting versatility and adaptability.

We are enthusiastic about the potential this blaze-faced bull brings to the beef industry. He features an extended body, a broad top, a flexible midsection, and a powerfully muscled hindquarter. DAM - GERANIUM 902G

BLAZIN NATURALLY PERFECT 135N

-

When we look at this guy we imagine the most perfect pen of heifers, the Dam to Naturally Perfect has been one of our most productive cows for us. Each year Wolfe Etta has produced either a bull in our sale or a replacement heifer which we have retained. Her sons consistently impress local producers with their disposition, vigor and reliability, earning praise from producers like Riley Strid, Darrel Hogbin and Evan. If you need to improve on udders, foot structure, fertility, and produce superior females, keep your eye on this bull.

We might be making a statement with these colourful bulls, there is no lack of style with this guy. Watch the way this bull moves around the pen on a perfect foot made him one of the most unique mature bulls we’ve seen. Daughters from 122N will be sure fancy and highly desirable in a show ring. This mating is nothing short of special. Moderate birthweight and then turned on the performance to weaning and again to yearling. If you come for a bull tour, make sure you see sharp flashy bull.

These colorful bulls certainly make a statement, each one showing plenty of flair. This particular bull stands out for the way he moves confidently around the pen on excellent feet—truly one of the most distinctive bulls we’ve raised. Offspring from 136N are expected to be eye-catching and highly sought after in the show ring. The pairing is exceptional, offering both moderate birth weight and impressive performance through weaning and into yearling. If you attend a bull tour, don’t miss the chance to see this striking, stylish bull.

HOMO BLACK.This bull features an impressive pedigree and originates from a high-performing black cow. Noisemaker exhibits notable length of spine, substantial build, and a quality hair coat, complementing his strong weaning and yearling weight performance. His lineage includes several proven maternal cows, with TSF cows recognized throughout the industry for their consistent production excellence.

HOMO BLACK. This bull will enhance any breeding program with its smooth shoulders, substantial depth, and well-developed rib structure. Notet for its energetic movement, this animal is an excellent choice for buyers seeking to produce cattle with top growth potential and focus on feed efficiency.

This bull is perfectly pigmented and has been a standout favorite since birth. Man Made displays impressive muscle and width along his top line, all while keeping a moderate frame and strong visual appeal. Currently, we are the only breeders North of HW 16 with One More Reason semen. We like this bull so much, we have retained his brother to use as a walking sire within our own herd. Breeding matches can be a gamble; we wanted AI to a reliable bloodline. The TWW 157K FF cow we chose did not disappoint. We are extremely pleased with the Anchor D One More Reason sire for both bulls and heifers. We plan on using more of the semen we have stored in the tank.

SIRE - ANCHOR D ONE MORE REASON 73J

146N is a well-balanced bull with ample rib shape, strong structure, excellent feet, and smooth movement. His DNA test confirmed he is a non-diluter, so you can breed him to black cows without producing grey calves. This fall, black blazed face replacement females were in high demand at sales. His dam ranks among our top fullblood cows for her outstanding overall quality and neat udder. On sale day, 146N is anticipated to draw significant attention from buyers.

This bull represents one of our first Hetero Polled Fullbloods available for sale. Natures Beast is from a premium 100% Fleck cow bought from Shane and Shannon Wolfe (Wolfes Fleckvieh), Fawn has consistently demonstrated exceptional qualities on our farm. This will be her first bull in our sale, lucky for us she has been consistently producing females which we have kept them all. Fawn exhibits outstanding conformation, including an ideal feminine head, udder, feet, and temperament. With Brink Geronimo and JNR Exxon in his lineage, this bull is well-positioned to deliver superior performance and productivity, bloodline like this will produce growthy, money-making steers. Born a twin.

DILUTOR. Hetero polled bull with a stout build and a deep dark red color. He stands on a large, square foot and comes from a highly productive, impressive cow. You can expect him to sire replacement heifers with clean udders and strong feet, which will consistently produce high-performing steers year after year.

Here is the walking son to 100M dam Blazin 744E, this bull has a tremendous dam. 115N is sure to add that maternal strength to your cow herd, he checks all the boxes, his performance on an individual basis is outstanding. 115N is the total package when it comes to performance, not to mention that great hair coat and in your pocket type personality. All his half maternal female siblings have been retained in our herd and become some of our top replacements.

Nutmeg has been a pen favorite since the day he was born. Stout, thick, and soggy as they come. He is backed by a cow that is well known for her ability to produce calves that check off all the boxes. 412H is an easy fleshing, big-footed cow that has the best disposition in the pen and 116N is following right in her footsteps. 116N has been a wide topped, big-reared and soft barreled bull since he was two weeks old. This is a bull that has never disappointed and will continue to impress for years to come. If you’re looking for a bull that will add meat, depth, and softness to your calves, make note of this one.

BLAZIN NOT PAID 107N

HOMO POLLED - BLZN 107N - UNR1497556 - JANUARY 05, 2025 - PUREBRED

107N is another power bull with lots of extras stacked on his side. 107N comes from a proven cow that has worked out any way we have bred her. The Swantewitt 320H dam has strong feet, a good udder, and continues to improve with age. 107N is a thick, well-built bull with plenty of hair and a dark red coat. He’s worth highlighting in your catalogue.

HOMO BLACK. This bull may have started small as a heifer’s first calf, but his current stature tells a different story. He has matured into a smooth, stylish, and robust herd sire with a big square hip. His maternal lineage is impressive, tracing back to the renowned HART STATE OF WAR on the top side and the legendary IPU RED DEPUTY 25C on the bottom. This is not a bull you want to overlook. I suggest putting him with the heifers and enjoying the exceptional calves they’ll produce the following year.

05M is a powerful bull in a very efficient frame. We were very fortunate to obtain his Dam from Ralph Burns at “Lazy RS Simmentals.” We love this combination of real muscle from his sire and exceptional maternal qualities of his dam, who today remains one of the most impressive first calvers to date.

Our fall heifers consistently raise strong calves, and this bull is no exception. He combines calving ease with impressive performance-something we value highly, especially in a heifer’s first calf. It’s rewarding to see a first-calf heifer produce a standout in the sale bull pen. This moderately framed, long-bodied, and attractive bull compares well even to those from mature cows. When breeding quality heifers, calving ease is our top priority, and this bull is designed

offer that, while also adding muscle to his hindquarters.

-

If you are looking for some extra length, depth, substance and cow power! This is a bull you won’t have any trouble finding Manslayer in the pen. He posted the heaviest adj in the whole pen at 3.99. His dam is the kind of cow that we love and has been a picture-perfect kind of cow with a great udder, huge barrel and extra broody look.

This is a well-balanced bull, characterized by moderate frame, square hips, and an excellent profile. His length and softness are traits likely to help with calving. The dam, BLAZIN JHENE 929J, possesses substantial hip capacity and good feminine attributes. She descends from established cow family known for consistently highquality udders.

Our Blazin J family are give back to our community. This will be our first year contributing towards a chosen non for profit organization. Rural Roots is located in our local town of Valleyview, AB. This is the only licensed facility that offers early childhood education programs with focused support for child development across daycare, preschool , and before & after school care. Without childcare many parents would struggle to find professional , reliable safe services. The board is made of volunteers and parents at large. Every dollar earned helps towards room improvements and needed equipment to keep our little facility running.

Volunteers will be raffling 50/50 tickets, half earnings will be donated to the Rural Roots Childcare. Winner will be announced post supper.

DAM - BLAZIN JHENE 929J

New Man is another bull out of a second calver who has big wrap-around goggles. Other attributes that make 125N an attractive individual is that finer boned with good muscling, dark red, and is developing into a very sound bull.

Neptune stands out as an exceptional young bull in the pen, showcasing remarkable quality throughout the summer. His dam is picture-perfect and consistently productive; there isn’t a single fault we can find with her. On the sire’s side, we’re thrilled to feature more Jethro bulls in the sale—thanks to his impressive pedigree, Neptune has quickly become one of my top picks in the pen.

Nutshell is known for his well-balanced frame and calm disposition, traits that facilitate ease of handling in a variety of management systems. As breeders seek to improve their herds with dependable performance, this bull represents an exceptional opportunity to contribute value and uniformity into future calf crops.

This is one of the powerhouse bulls in the pen. TSF Hadley seems to produce stout, heavy haired, attractive progeny. 129N has a strong set of numbers across the board with both weaning and yearling weights at the head of his class. For those seeking a future herd bull from a dam with high capacity, moderate frame, and excellent udder quality capable of thriving in diverse environments, this individual presents an ideal option.

This bull is an easy fleshing, loose hided, soggy made, and deep bodied. 128N has a wide top, the good foot structure and lots of bone on his legs. Another bull from a great maternal bloodline from a BLI cow. If you need to add length and frame this bull will have the herd markers to accomplish that.

We are really impressed with these bulls sired by King Ransom. Even though King himself is considered a heifer bull, his calves stand out in the pen for their strong spines, thickness, and overall capacity. The dam is an LRS FF known for being easykeeping, deep-bodied, tough, and extremely productive as a milker. Based on our experience with many LRS cows, this bull promises impressive weight and growth. If you’re looking to boost your herd’s gains, consider this bull.

109N is a visually impressive bull noted for his substantial muscle mass, pronounced hindquarter, and broad topline. He is sired from a robust cow, ensuring that attributes such as milk production, growth performance, and durability will be well represented in this bull. This will be the second bull from Swantewitt Heartfelt 295H featured in our sale; she has truly become an exceptional producer.

- SWANTEWITT HEARTFELT

BLAZIN NOBODY KNOWS

Nobody Knows is an exceptional bull that impresses more with each visit to the bull pen. Since weaning, he has become one of our standout offerings. He is loosehided, easy-doing, and big-hipped, with a striking appearance that catches the eye. Backed by a strong young cow who consistently raises quality calves and showing consistency, Nobody Knows has a promising future ahead.

Naughty has a little more design to him. He has been a bull that is easy to pick out amongst the crowd. Take a closer look, showing substantial width across his topline and hindquarters, complemented by an extended neckline. He moves smoothly and exhibits a strong herd bull presence. As one of my highest-performing bulls at weaning, he displays significant potential to become a powerful herd sire.

WELCOME

Blondie Cattle Co.

Blondie Cattle Co. Began with a simple idea and a whole lot of drive, a vision built from my own passion for cattle, quality genetics, and the desire to build something that would reflect the standards I believe in. My love for cattle started long before I could walk truly since I was in the womb and that early connection is what pushed me to build a program of my own. What started with a handful of cows and big goals has grown into a focused, hardworking program that I’m proud to put my name behind. Every calf crop, every breeding choice, and every long day has been shaped by that vision.

While this is my program, I’m grateful to have a family who jumps in when it counts, whether it’s helping on those late-night calving checks, stepping in when equipment breaks, or backing the decisions that move the herd forward. Their support helps keep everything running, but the direction, the goals, and the drive behind Blondie Cattle Co. Comes from the passion I have for building something exceptional. My focus is on developing a strong Charolais program alongside the commercial herd, built on structure, temperament, and real-world performance. The cattle here aren’t pampered; they’re expected to work for a living, raise powerful calves, and thrive on the same conditions as any commercial outfit. I believe the best cattle prove themselves in the pasture, and that’s the standard I hold this herd to every single day. Blondie Cattle Co, May be new to the purebred side of the industry this year, but the commitment, the goals, and the drive behind it are anything but new. This is a program built with intention, grit, and genuine pride, one I’m excited to keep growing and strengthening with each calving season.

Thank you for taking the time to look through what I’ve built and for supporting the next steps of this operation.

Welcome to Blondie Cattle Co. Built by family, powered by hard work, and driven by a love for great cattle.

A highly impressive herd sire prospect displaying exceptional rib shape, depth, and overall mass. Sired by Yellowstone, he carries the power, and consistency that line is known for.
