Welcome to Our 27th Annual Sale! A fantastic sale last February kicked our year off to a great start! Two new grandsons, Brant & Pyper’s purchase of a new farm among other things that we can appreciate; and the “love of the game” has continued to pay off with a great return for all cattle people. The cattle here make our living and we are thrilled with the great reports in their new homes. We maintain our cattle are the moderate and easy keeping kind that adapt easily. The sale bulls are a strong group throughout including a great set of heifer bulls. Semen tested and delivered. The bred heifers are uniform and are bringing in calves very comparable to the cows. HYBRID VIGOUR We know “free” pounds and extra life can be gained in the first and second outcross of any straight bred herd. The reality is that the old is new. Hereford bulls are now the new outcross on many cowherds, to produce more uniform calf crops with hair coat and eye appeal, vigour and thickness and the cross will add pounds, not take it away. Hereford bulls on black cows produce a BWF or BBF. The point sometimes missed is that the calf is still black. Only it has more Hybrid Vigour.
