Austen, Katie, Finley & Remi

Welcome to our 17th annual bull sale. It is an incredible time to be in the cattle industry. Demand for beef is at an all time high and the domestic supply at historic lows. This sets the stage for hopefully several years of profitability in the industry.
This year will feature new AI/ET genetics in Baldridge Drag Iron, SAV Royal Flush, Rreds Common Sense, Belle Revelation, Rreds Revolution and Senneca. We also have large sire groups from our herdbulls ACC Stunner 14G, MLG Alcatraz 22K, Paramount 410K and Targaryen 161K. Also new this year is our addition of four Red SimAngus Yearling bulls off of Fullblood sires such as Sunny Valley Freedom, Ultra Independence and Fairview Philadelphia.
This year the bulls were fed a balanced TMR growing ration of hay silage, straw, corn silage, rolled barley, whole oats and a custom formulated mineral. The bulls are very athletic and have been wintered in large paddocks to ensure they get plenty of exercise. They will go straight to work and walk your pastures with ease. All of the cattle are familiar with both horses and dogs. We work with the bulls daily and we value the good dispositions in our breeding lines.
We took two pens of bulls this year to Harvest Showdown and our Red Angus Pen continued down the show road to Canadian Western Agribition. We also exhibited in the halter barn as well at Manitoba Ag Ex and Agribition. Our two year old female Red ACC Tibbie 169L with her bull Calf Red ACC Washington 1N (Lot 17) were awarded the Reserve Two Year Old Pair Banner at Manitoba Ag Ex and Our Yearling Bull Red ACC Nozeka 178M was Reserve Champion Yearling Bull.
Austen and Katie have been kept busy with Finley who turned 5 in January. He loves to be outside exploring the farm. Remi will turn three in May and loves helping feed cows in the tractor. Their house is a buzz of activity between these two.
Breanna, Wade and Ember spent lots of time at the farm this summer and helped with various parts of the operation. At the time of writing this Breanna is due to have their second child within the month. Wade has several projects on the go and kept busy curling and hunting this fall/winter. They moved into their new home this summer and hosted a housewarming party in August.
Bruce and Ione are enjoying being grandparents, traveling to Costa Rica and enjoying time at the lake.
You are welcome to stop by the farm any time prior to the sale to view the cattle. If we can help you select your next herd sire please don’t hesitate to call. Hope to see you March 5th!

Our leadoff bull this year is a very unique and desirable individual. He combines calving ease, muscle definition, breed character and a very nice momma in a dark red package. When he walked in the picture pen Wes said” You better call some breeders on this rascal”. He was the 4th heaviest weaned bull calf in his group with a WW ratio of 109. His dam was purchased from Camo Cattle Co at Red Round Up and has registered 5 progeny including bulls we sold to Clarion Colony and Garry Griffith.

Lot 2 patterns very closely to Lot 1 just in a little lighter hair coat. His dam is our donor female Red ACC Tibbie 98B. She is the mother of Red ACC Nozeka 81G, as well as 20 other registered progeny.

Red ACC Tycoon 9N was a really close contender for being the lead off bull in this offering. He does a lot of the same things really well as lot 1. We selected Tycoon 225E as a AI sire because he combined calving ease with added frame and performance.

Lot 6 and 7 exemplify the added frame that we selected Tycoon for. These bulls could would excel breeding heifers but also have enough frame and performance to breed cows.

RED ACC HURRICANE

Lot 8 is out of our highly productive doner female Red ACC Tibbie 13B. She adds her signature stoutness to her son. She has registered 64 progeny so far and the consistency in which she produces high quality individuals is incredible. We have retained a multitude of her daughters in the herd and they are proving how prolific 13B truly is.

BLACK WHEEL DRACARYS 178E RED ACC TARGARYEN 161K RED ACC SIERRA 18Z
RED ACC PACESETTER 158D
ACC ANNIE 170G

The Targaryen sire group all goes back to Black Wheel Dracarys 178E who still resides at Anderson Cattle Co at 9 years of age. For the most part they demonstrate the added dimension, performance and frame that 178E has blessed the Red Angus Breed with across several programs in Western Canada. Lot 9 and 10 have some extra calving ease, not enough to warrant a heifer bull stamp but enough to do really well with 2 and 3 year old cows.

Red ACC Targaryen 110N will find many friends come sale day! He’s dark red, has some calving ease for the heifer pen and his mom is one of our top Red Angus Cows. She is the dam of the Female we showed last fall at Ag Ex and Agribition. Her 2024 heifer calf is also in our bred heifer pen and patterns very similar to 169L. With that kind of consistency we believe deeply in the quality of 110N.

D-BAR LAMBDA 60X

This is the last natural calf out of Red ACC Lambda 1Z, dam of Red ACC Big Shot 118E. This calf did really well considering his dam was 13 when she was raising him. If you are looking for longevity then take a hard look at Lot 12. She has 36 registered progeny to her name. Additionally Targaryens Dam Red ACC Sierra 18Z was still in production till last year. Cows that stay are Cows that Pay! You can really see 13B’s

We campaigned Red ACC Washington 1N with his dam at Manitoba Ag Ex and Canadian Western Agribition. At Manitoba Ag Ex she was Reserve in her division. Lot 17 packs a lot of masculinity, muscle definition and length into a very attractive breeding package.

Lot 18 patterns very similar to his brother Washington. If you are looking to add performance make sure to give him special consideration. His dam is a direct daughter out of 13B and Big Shot 118E. She is dark red is one of our larger framed young cows.

RED ACC PARAMOUNT 38N

The third part of our Pen of three we showed this fall. Eisenhower is halter broke and very quiet.

This pedigree is stacked in great Black Angus Genetics and Lot 26 is proof of how they can be used to enhance the Red Angus Breed. His Dam has raised two other sale bulls with last years selling to Greg Evans and her 2023 calf sold to Neil Rooks.

We are excited to introduce our first ever SimAngus Bulls to you. We started this project using AI to Fullblood bulls such as Sunny Valley Freedom. This bulls dam is perfect example of longevity in the Red Angus Breed, She is about to have her 14th natural calf and still looks youthful.

We purchased the dam from Right Cross Ranch at the Keystone Klassic. She has worked out really well and has put three daughters into our herd.

Ac 66 ACC COMMERCIAL BRED COWS
We are offering a group of 20 bred cows due March-May. Some of the Red Angus cows will be bred to a Fleckvieh bull named Fairview Philadelphia 19L that we purchased as the lead off bull from Fordens in the All Breeds bull sale. The other cows will be bred either Red or Black Angus and we will have that available sale day. All females are on our full herd health and nutritional program. They have been receiving annual boosters of Bovigold and Tasvax. Cows must be picked up within three days of the sale. Cows will be sold without registration papers.
