It is once again my pleasure to invite you to the Second Annual Sale of the Texas Wagyu Association. This year’s sale will be held at the beautiful Tenroc Ranch in historic Salado, Texas. This new location in central Texas gives you an opportunity to see some of the great Texas wildlife, as well as the beginning of Hill Country.
In the year since our first sale, I have learned a great deal about the Wagyu Breed and all of the qualities that they have to offer. Working with this breed and this group of cattlemen has opened my eyes to a quality of beef that is unparalleled. Since having my first beef from a Wagyu carcass, I am always looking for the restaurants that serve this treasure, and I realize that they are the finest operations in the area. The name of the sale this year, “The Steaks Are High” is a direct result of this quality that I have learned to enjoy.
I am confident that as you inspect this sale book you will be pleased with the efforts the members of the Texas Wagyu Association have gone through to make this the best offering of Wagyu genetics available on the open market. You will have the opportunity to purchase the best in fullblood cattle, as well as, a select group of F1 cattle.
There will be a meeting of the Texas Wagyu Association on Friday afternoon at the Tenroc Facility that will be followed by a country social and inspection of the cattle. A Wagyu beef lunch will be served prior to the sale on Saturday. If you are not a member of the Texas Wagyu Association, I would encourage you to attend the meeting on Friday to find out about the exciting programs that this progressive group has to offer. In the last year they have started a feed test for bulls and heifers, they have had their own program on the “Cattle Show” on RFD TV and they have sponsored a statewide Wagyu Beef Cookoff that was held in Hamilton, Texas in September.

TERMS: The terms of the sale are cash unless arrangements are made prior to the sale. Satisfactory settlement must be made with the clerk of the sale immediately after the close of the sale. Only when the above conditions are met will the buyer be entitled to the warranties listed below. Animals will be released only on a signed order from the clerk when presented to the barn superintendent. ln no case will animals be released unless settlement is made with the clerk of the sale.
EXPORT SALES: Arrangements regarding health requirements and health tests for a specific importing country shall be a matter of agreement prior to the sale between the seller and the potential buyer. Otherwise, the buyer assumes all responsibility for all health tests.
BIDS: The highest bidder shall be the buyer. Bidding parties of their agents are responsible for all bids placed. Every animal or lot is pledged to absolute sale. In case of dispute, the animal or lot shall again be put up for advance bids, and if there is no advance bid, the animal shall be sold to the person from whom the auctioneer on the stand accepted the last bid. In the case two or more claim the bid, the auctioneer in the box shall indicate the party whose bid he recognized- Other claimants will be given an opportunity to increase the bid and bidding will be restricted to the two or more claimants. BY-BIDDING: Bidding directly or indirectly on an animal or lot in which the bidder or any person from whom the bid is made has an ownership interest is prohibited unless the intention to bid is disclosed specific to each animal in the catalog and announced when the animal enters the sale ring.
PARTNERSHIPS AND SYNDICATES: In the case of cattle owned by partnerships and syndicates, any member of these partnerships or syndicates reserves the right to bid in their own behalf. Each member shall be identified.
RISK: All animals located at the sale sit are at the purchaser’s risk as soon as struck off, but will be cared for free of charge for 12 hours. Purchasers must make arrangements for the care of their purchases beyond the 24 hour period, unless sold for export in keeping with separate terms. Animals are solely at the consignor’s risk prior to selling in the event.
CERTIFICATES OF REGISTRATION. RECORDING OR IDENTIFICATION: (Whichever Applies) All consignments must have certificates of registration issued by the American Wagyu Association, and will be furnished by the seller showing transfer on the records of the American Wagyu Association to the purchaser and will be provided free of charge within a reasonable period of time.
WARRANTIES: 1) Each consignor warrants clear title to the animal, and the right to sell same. 2) Each animal is sound and healthy in every respect and embryos have been recovered, processed, frozen, transferred and graded in keeping with IETS recommendations, unless otherwise noted in the catalog or announced from the auction stand. Every precaution will be taken to represent the physical condition of each animal or embryo, donors or recipients exactly as know. Examination of all purchases should be made
immediately after the purchase and before the close of the sale; and if found not to be as represented, complaint must be reported to the sale management before the close of the sale. In the event no complaint is filed, it is understood that the buyer assumes full ownership in the case of animals at the sale site together with all risks, after which no representations of the seller can be challenged through the sale management. Heifers that have never calved are in no way guaranteed as to the condition of their udders following calving. No guarantee is made concerning freedom from hardware unless so announced. 3) The seller has represented the breeding record of females and service age bulls as accurately as possible, all males or females are guaranteed to be breeders. a. Males-All bulls must be semen, trich, TB, BVD and lepto tested. b. Females--All females must be official calf hood vaccinates for brucellosis. Open heifers must have a breeding examination. All bred females must have a pregnancy examination within 30 days prior to the sale by an accredited veterinarian and the pregnancy status must be recorded on the animals accompanying health papers.
SHIPPING: Assistance will be given in shipping the animals after the sale. All cost+ risks and responsibility will be borne by the purchaser with the exception of special terms for export purchases. Transportation charges on all animals subject to adjustment shall be paid by the shipper.
HEALTH WARRANTY: The results of any future health test are not guaranteed. The American Wagyu Association, the seller and sale management can not be held liable.
ERRORS: The material in this catalog has been carefully edited. lf errors or omissions are discovered, they will be announced. Such announcements take precedence over the printed matter in this catalog. Neither the editors of the catalog, the American Wagyu Association, the sale management, nor the consignors can assume any responsibility for errors or omissions in the catalog.
ACCIDENT: American Wagyu Association, the sale management, the consignors, and the owner of the grounds will not be responsible in any case for the condition of the grounds or the behavior of the animals and disclaim any liability in the event of personal accident or property loss.

We are selling 10 units of semen on the new, elite AI sire. 9061W’s sire TF147 Itoshigefuji, was bred by Mr. Shogo Takeda and is perhaps the largest Fullblood Wagyu bull weighing in excess of 2,400 pounds. TF147 is the result of Modoshikouhai (back crossing) with Itofuji, from the Fujimori line. Combining the Fujimori (supersized) and Itomichi line (good marbling) produced this bull with large frame size and good marbling. TF147 is well known for producing the best Fullblood Wagyu females. 9061W’s dam is TF 713, a daughter of Kimifuku 3 and a Itomichi daughter. Kimifuku 3 is the highest marbling bull Mr. Shogo Takeda raised in his lifetime. 9061W is a Group C bull, and we believe he is going to be an excellent bull to produce top quality early maturing, growth and milking Fullblood females while complementing marbling on feeder cattle as well.
