LETTER FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear Members,

As you know, CATT works hard to ensure that the voice of our industry is heard when it comes to local building, planning, and development issues. This year, we have two important opportunities where your expertise and input are needed.

First, the Local Government Affairs Committee (LGAC) will be working closely with the Town of Truckee on a comprehensive review of building & planning ordinances. To do this effectively, we need volunteers from across our membership: engineers, electricians, plumbers, roofers, general contractors, real estate professionals, land use planners, and more. Your experience in the field is invaluable, and your participation will help us identify practical solutions that work for both builders and homeowners.

Second, we are looking for engineers to assist with the upcoming TOT PIES (Public Infrastructure and Engineering Studies). Your technical insight will help guide critical decisions on infrastructure that affect our community, our businesses, and the future of development in our region.

This is your chance to make a real difference, not only for yourself, but also for your business partners, our industry, and especially the homeowners who rely on safe, well-planned, and cost-effective building practices.

If you are willing to lend your expertise, please email execdir@ca-tt.com or contact the CATT office at 530-550-9999. Together, we can ensure that the policies and standards guiding our work reflect the knowledge and professionalism of our members.

Thank you for considering this important opportunity. We are getting started Monday, September 29th, 2025.

Warm regards,

LETTER FROM MEGHAN BEHM, PAC CHAIRPERSON

As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to share some exciting opportunities with you. The CATT Political Action Committee (PAC) is preparing for election season, and now is the perfect time to get involved.

The PAC plays a vital role in supporting policies and leaders who positively impact our industry, and your voice is an important part of that effort.

Our goal as a Political Action Committee is to strengthen the construction industry’s influence in the region by building relationships with candidates and advocating for policies that align with our members’ interests. Whether you’re passionate about government affairs, elections, or simply want to contribute to shaping the future of our industry, now is the time to get involved.
