LETTER FROM OUR EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Dear CATT Members,

Thank you for renewing your membership with the Contractors Association of Truckee Tahoe. Your continued support is what sustains this organization and allows us to serve both our industry and our community.

That said, membership alone is only the starting point.

CATT provides the platform—but the value comes from how you choose to engage with it. Attending mixers, showing up to events, volunteering your time, and participating in conversations build relationships and create real opportunities. This is how you become known, trusted, and connected within the community.

Simply put: paying your dues opens the gate—but you still have to walk through it. We encourage each of you to take full advantage of what CATT offers. The more you put into your membership, the more you and this organization will gain from it. Thank you again for being part of CATT and for continuing to strengthen this community.

In Service to one another,

A MESSAGE FROM THE CATT PRESIDENT

Dear CATT Members,

Greetings to all our esteemed CATT members. Weather is getting warm and it feels like spring which means its perfect for CATT event attendance.

Look at the calendar! We have the Sporting Clay Tournament, CATT Spring Golf Tournament, Corn Hole Tournament, Fall Golf Tournament and the annual Holiday Party coming up for this year. These are all really fun events where you can join all your friends from the CATT organization for a good time.

In addition, we have mixers all year long hosted by our many valuable suppliers and partners, these are always free, well attended, interesting and fun. Once again look at the calendar, look for email reminders and see you there.

There are some changes coming up at the CATT board level. Chris Tennant has resigned and Eric Scott of CMJR Construction has volunteered to assume responsibilities as Treasurer. CATT is sad to see Chris go, he has been a long time CATT board member, past president and has spent numerous hours of time and dedication to the organization. Thank you Chris for your contribution and we wish you all the best.

Sincerely,

REQUEST TO BID IS A GREAT COMMUNITY OPPORTUNITY

Did you know CATT’s Jobs To Bid program is one of the most effective ways for homeowners and business owners to connect with local contractors and get their projects moving? Most people hear about it through word of mouth so we're asking our members to help keep the momentum going. If you know someone planning a remodel, new build, or commercial project, point them to Jobs To Bid for a simple way to get in front of trusted, qualified pros. It’s a win-win for our community more connections, more jobs done right. Request A Bid Here.

MEMBER SPOTLIGHT: BILLY LANDIS-TAHOE HAVEN OUTDOOR

Tahoe local Billy Landis has built his business from the ground up, starting with seasonal landscape maintenance and growing into full-scale design, construction, and outdoor living projects. After COVID-19 disrupted his career in hospitality, he pivoted reaching out to the community and turning hard work into a thriving business.

Today, Tahoe Haven Outdoor Living specializes in custom outdoor spaces, including natural stonework, patios, fire features, artificial turf, and fully equipped outdoor kitchens. With a deep understanding of the Sierra Nevada climate, Landis and his team focus on creating high-quality spaces built for long-term durability.

Rooted in family, community, and a love for Lake Tahoe, Landis takes pride in designing spaces where people can gather and create lasting memories. As the company continues to grow—alongside Tahoe Seasonal Solutions—he remains committed to quality craftsmanship, reliable service, and building opportunities for his team.

Com ahoe Forest Health System Wants To Hear From You!

Tahoe Forest Health System (TFHS) was founded by the Joseph family with a simple belief that people living in this region deserve healthcare close to home. That same belief drives TFHS today as it launches “True North,” a community engagement initiative aimed at gathering input from residents, patients, second homeowners, local workers and business owners to help guide the health system’s strategic direction in the years ahead.

“As we prepare for the future, we’re asking one simple question: what does it look like when a health system is truly at the center of a community’s health?”

said Michael McGarry, chair of the TFHS Board of Directors. “Our goal is to work together with everyone who calls this place home, including the people whose hands and hard work keep it running.”

Over the next few months, TFHS hopes to hear from as many community members as possible. This input will inform the organization’s strategic plan and help shape the future of healthcare in our region. Many CATT members and their families have been touched by TFHS services in one way or another, making their feedback especially valuable.

HowToGetInvolved

Everyone is invited to share input by taking a brief online survey at

For the month of May, we are looking for: A job site trailer (donation preferred, short-term use welcome) If you can donate or share a lead, please reach out. Your support helps make these projects possible for the Truckee community.

A MESSAGE FROM THE CATT POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE

Dear Members,

As we head into election season, the CATT PAC would love to get some input from CATT members. What races are important to you and your business? We will likely interview canidates for the Truckee- Tahoe Unified School District again as we are eager to build a partnersjip with them in order to strengthen workforce development in our region. Do you wish you had more sway at one of the Fire Departments or Utility Districts? Are you experiencing roadblocks to completing projects on time and/or within budget because of public agencies? The PAC is interested in cultivating relationships with elected officials in order to support the best interests of the building industry in our region.

We’ll be looking for input from attendees at the CATT PAC-hosted mixer on March 17 . You will also be receiving a survey via email that will give you the opportunity to share your thoughts.

th

If you think you’re interested in joining the PAC, come to our next meeting on April 16 to see what we do. We’ll look forward to hearing from you! th

Sincerely,
