Peace In The Storms Of Life ark 4:35-41: “On the same day, when evening had come, He said to them, ‘Let us cross over to the other side.’ Now when they had left the multitude, they took Him along in the boat as He was. And other little boats were also with Him. And a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But He was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, ‘Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?’ Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, ‘Peace, be still!’ And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. But He said to them, ‘Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?’ And they feared exceedingly, and said to one another, ‘Who can this be, that even the wind and the sea obey Him!’” As we journey through the path of life, the Bible says in Isaiah 43:2, “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” In our journey through our daily lives, we sometimes encounter trials and heartaches in the road of life (John 16:33). Yet, sometimes we encounter the floods of fearful emotions when the uncertainties of life begin to rage as a raging waterfall. When the fire suddenly rages in our lives, at times, one may struggle with the questions of, “Why? God, do you hear my cry?” or the cries of, “Lord, I need YOU! Lord, I am afraid! Lord, have mercy!” It was a normal evening when Jesus entered the boat, along with the smaller boats following. SUDDENLY, a GREAT windstorm arose and the waves beat into the boat, filling it with water. But Jesus was asleep, lying on the pillow. If you were in the boat: How would you respond if you were in the boat and Jesus Christ was sleeping? Would you have been afraid, though Jesus Christ was in the boat? Why? Yet, though asleep in the boat, Jesus Christ, our great God, was in control then and IS in control of our strong winds

that sometimes enter into our lives. Yet, we rejoice as our Abba Father: Daddy rebukes the strong winds in our lives and brings PEACE as we surrender our fears, struggles, and pain to Him.

Remember, Jesus Christ said to the wind and sea, “PEACE, BE STILL,” and the wind ceased and there was a great calm: praise God! Again, remember that Jesus Christ asked them, “Why are you so fearful? How is it that you have no faith?” We rejoice that our Abba Father: Daddy calms our fears. Our God is a mighty fortress and is most certainly faithful beyond measure in the storms of life. The Lord will never—no, NEVER—leave us alone and allow the tidal waves of life to destroy us or the flames of the fire to consume His children. God, our Abba Father: Daddy, is truly always faithful beyond measure, and HE IS IN TOTAL CONTROL OF THE STORMS. Stand firm, for the Lord our God never leaves His children to journey alone (Hebrews 13:5b). Peace, be still; God is in control (John 14:27).
