An Inside Look at His Conversion to the Catholic Faith and the RCIA Journey
teven Ondrla had been considering Catholicism for nearly 10 years, and when his adult daughter, Marissa, entered the Church, he knew it was time to take this step on his own faith journey. “I finally decided to make that commitment after seeing Marissa’s faith,” Steven says. “She converted last Easter and talked to me about her experience over the summer.” Steven was raised Lutheran and attended Lutheran schools from kindergarten to eighth grade. In high school, Steven gradually became a non-practicing Lutheran, but after having his children, he began attending a liberal Lutheran church. Somehow it didn’t feel like the right fit for him. “I started to notice things I didn’t agree with, things I didn’t believe in,” Steven says. “My brother had also continued on back cover
