Medical Aid In Dying
New York State now has a law called the Medical Aid in Dying Act. This law lets some patients with a terminal illness ask a doctor for medicine to end their life.
Catholic Health does not provide this service at any of our hospitals, practices or care locations. This is part of who we are. Our faith calls us to care for patients through every stage of illness–not to shorten life.
If you or a loved one is facing a serious or terminal illness, we are here for you. We offer palliative care, hospice, pain management and spiritual support. We will never stop caring for you–and we will always be honest about what we can offer.
