YOUR SUPPORT, Restored Sonia’s Business Full recovery after a disaster takes time—but because of supporters like you, it isn’t impossible. Independent business owner, Sonia, lost her income and career when Hurricane Helene flooded her salon, ruining nearly everything inside. The financial loss was devastating. In an effort to save her business, she made an incredible sacrifice—selling her home to finance repairs. But it wasn’t enough. When she contacted Catholic Charities, she asked only for help with her roof. But when the team arrived, they discovered a mold-filled, mud-soaked basement and damage far beyond her initial request. Thanks to your generosity, help was there when Sonia needed it most. Because of your support—and the hard work of volunteers, Catholic Charities staff, and strong community partners—Sonia’s dream salon was restored. Today, Sonia has fully reopened Corte and Cut Beauty Salon and is once again serving her community. This is what your generosity makes possible—helping neighbors rebuild their lives and move forward with hope. Thank you for answering Christ’s call to serve those in need.

A Message from Jesse Boeckermann
Robert and Elaine Did Not Go Hungry, Thanks to You
Because of you, God’s light is shining in moments that might otherwise feel overwhelming.
Sometimes, it only takes one unexpected expense to put everything at risk.
In this issue, you’ll meet neighbors whose lives have been touched by your generosity—families who, in moments of deep uncertainty, found comfort, stability, and hope. Because of your compassionate support, families are able to lay their loved ones to rest with dignity and find peace in their grief. Neighbors receive the food they need during a time of uncertainty, and shop owners can see their businesses brought back to life because you chose to offer help when it’s needed the most.
Recently, Robert and Elaine came to Catholic Charities seeking help after Robert’s insurance costs increased significantly, leaving them without enough money to buy groceries.

Because of you, our faith is put into action—ensuring that no one has to face hunger alone and that families in our community are met with dignity, care, and hope when they need it most.
Because of your generosity, help was there when they needed it most. Through your support, Michael and Linda were able to lay their brother to rest with dignity and begin to find the peace they so desperately needed.
“I am crying with relief. I feel a colossal weight being lifted… My prayers have been answered. I will now share the good news with my sister as she is weary from the financial worries.”

In Michael’s own words:
They shared with our team member Jessica, “We didn’t know what we were going to do. We didn’t have enough money to buy food.”
Yet the need continues. There are still families facing uncertainty, still neighbors waiting for help, still opportunities to bring Christ’s love to life in our community.
