HOW TO MEASURE YOUR SHOWER ENCLOSURE?
Support Base Level
Check the level of the base of the screen shower
It is also recommended that you verify that the base where you are The support is correctly leveled. To do this, you can use a “bubble” type. FOR FRONT ENCLOSURES
Always make sure to measure twice
· For frontal installations, we must always measure the highest point (A), the midpoint (M), and the lowest point (B)
· Of the three measurements that we take A/M/B we we will keep the smallest one as a reference and we will offset to the largest size with the profile compensation
· Check if all 3 measurements are within the range of a reference of Salgar screen. Ex: Helsinki 22452, 136-140cm. Ideally, you should discount 0.5cm to the size and check if they are all within range.
· In case any are not in range, it is ALWAYS THE GREATEST MEASURE that which is compensated by
Compensating Profiles
· Ex: A is 139, M is 138.5 and B is 138cm. We discount 0.5 to B and we see that the maximum difference is 137.5 to 139cm, total 1.5cm, which is in the code range and that the offset of the screen, 2cm per side, covers the mismatch.
FOR CORNER ENCLOSURES
· Floor or ground shower tray?
· In any case, the two sides are measured from the wall to the edge of the shower tray.
· In cases of a tray on the floor, the screen it is always somewhat smaller than the total dimension of the shower trays. E.g.: Helsinki, cod. 22465, nominal measurements of plate 700x900, screen measurements 675-695 and 875-895mm.
In the case of masonry of floor level tray.
The enclosure, for aesthetics only, must fall at the plate and floor joint. We must measure the two measurements up to those joints and see if the screen fits them
