The Cass County Electric board of directors met in person on Oct. 29, 2024, and discussed the following topics: • Moved to approve the October 2024 consent agenda of the regular board meeting consisting of minutes, monthly department reports, director expense report, and the September Purchased Power Adjustment (PPA). • Received the chairman’s report. • President/CEO Paul Matthys gave the president’s report providing updates from meetings and conferences attended. • Received the September and thirdquarter 2024 financial reports. • Received an update from Federated Insurance. • Received an update from Mac McLennan of Minnkota Power Cooperative. • Received the 2023 Key Ratio Trends Analysis presentation from NRUCFC. • Received reports from the Minnkota Power Cooperative, Square Butte, and NDAREC board meetings. • Received a report from the Operations and Administration Committee. • Received a report from the Rate, Audit, and Finance Committee. • Moved to approve the October 2024 capital credit estate payments. • Reviewed upcoming meetings and events. The next board meeting is Friday, Dec. 20, 2024.
2025 Director Elections Cass County Electric Cooperative’s directors serve as liaisons between fellow members and the cooperative executive staff, providing guidance and oversight on cooperative finance and operations. Directors provide the vital service of voicing the membership’s needs and upholding the cooperative value of democratic member control. CCEC members in Districts 1, 6, and 8 interested in becoming a director should contact our executive assistant at 701-3564405 or directorelections@ kwh.com for a director election petition packet.
