About the Composer
David Lang was born in Los Angeles, California and has studied at Stanford University, the University of Iowa, and Yale University.
Among others he has studied with Jacob Druckman, Morton Subotnick, Henri Lazarof and Martin Bresnick.
Illumination Rounds was premiered in Carnegie Recital Hall in New York on April 22, 1982, by Leslie Shank and Jon Kimura Parker.
