Illusions (2015) was co-commissioned by the London Sinfonietta and the Royal Philharmonic Society for the 2015 General Election in the UK.

The updated, extended Illusions (2017) was supported by the PRS for Music Foundation's New Music Biennial and 2017 Hull City of Culture.

The video has 2-channel sound:

L = mono sound from video to be sent to stereo PA, R = click track

The click track should go to the conductor (or if no conductor, then to all players). The music must be performed alongside the accompanying video, projected as large as possible. The ensemble must be amplified and blended with the spoken word on the video, so that the spoken word is clearly audible/comprehensible. To aid projection, the room should be darkened and music stand lights used.
