In concert, the choir singing In Paradisum should very slowly and quietly process to the back of the venue during this movement, preferably either side so that by the climax they are surrounding the audience, and so the final movement may be sung lontano behind/away from the audience.

X. In Paradisum: If I Should Go

When sung within the requiem, to be performed by a chamber choir (<30) from behind the audience if possible, not quite offstage, but lontano in placement (the words must still be audible). Sing in long phrases, taking care to maintain an even dynamic across the jumps.
