Generell ist non vibr. zu spielen. „vibr.“ gilt immer nur für den bezeichneten Ton. „sempre vibr.“ gilt für eine ganze Passage und wird durch „non vibr.“ aufgehoben.
Ebenso gilt „flaut.“ immer nur für den direkt bezeichneten Ton.
Intonation
Die Vierteltonvorzeichen bezeichnen temperierte Vierteltöne. Vorzeichen mit Pfeil bezeichnen je nach Kontext Sechstel- bis Achteltöne, also kleinere Intervalle.
Mir ist bewusst, dass Intonation und Klangfarbe in enger Beziehung zueinander stehen. Es sollen also in jedem Fall die am besten klingenden Griffe gewählt werden.
Glissando
Es gibt folgende Arten von Glissando:
Gleichmäßiges, sofort startendes Glissando. Die Anfangsnote ist stets betont, die Zielnote unbetont zu spielen. non vibr. / vibr.
Glissando mit Hin- und Herbewegungen. Diese Aktion soll wie ein vergrößertes, rhythmisch exaktes Vibrato aufgefasst werden. Auf die Glissando-Linien wurde verzichtet, der Kleinstich zeigt immer das Glissando an.
Die ganze Figur wird als Glissando ausgeführt. Manchmal werden Glissando-Linien zur Verdeutlichung verwendet. Noten im Kleinstich sollen immer im Glissando erreicht werden.

Generally the work should be played non vibrato. “vibr.” applies only to the referred note. “sempre vibr.” applies to all notes in a passage until “non vibr.” appears. “flaut.” applies only to the given note.
Intonation
Quarter-tone accidentals indicate quarter-tones with tempered tuning. Depending on the context, accidentals with arrows denote changes of smaller intervals, between a sixth- and an eighth-tone.
I am aware that intonation and sound colour are very closely related. Primarily the player should choose the best sounding fingerings.
Glissando
The following types of glissando are used:
A glissando which starts immediately and is even throughout. The starting note should be emphasized but the resultant note not. non vibr. / vibr.
A glissando with a „to“ and „fro“ movement. This gesture should be perceived as an enlarged and rhythmically precise vibrato. The glissando lines have not been written out. Instead, smaller noteheads signify a figure to be played with glissandi from note to note.
The complete figure is to be played with a glissando between each note. Occasionally glissando lines are written out for clarity. Pitches with smaller noteheads should always be reached with a glissando movement.
