San Marcos High School Students Unveil New Mural By Daisy Scott / VOICE
SCHOOL MAY BE OUT FOR SUMMER, but students’ creative spirits do not take a holiday at San Marcos High School. Over the course of the last weeks, 25 student artists have dedicated their days to painting the school’s newest mural, depicting scenes celebrating Santa Barbara’s natural beauty above a simple yet impactful message: “Life is Good.”
“I hope it brings comfort to a lot of people, and that instead of seeing a wall they see beauty in this,” shared Ximena Gutierrez, who will be a junior at San Marcos this fall. “I think it adds to the campus and makes people feel more included in it.”
