performer biography Ellenelle Gilliam is a born and raised Minnesotan Girl who grew up traveling across the USA, Caribbean, and Europe with her family. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Music Education at Augustana College in 2016. Since graduation, she has spent her time teaching music in Arusha, Tanzania and Georgetown, Guyana. In that time, she helped a small but promising music theatre program grow into the most recognized program in the country. While completing her Master of Music degree at Carthage, Ellenelle has been researching and compiling music theatre resources into a curriculum that can be used both in Guyana and around the world. Ellenelle also served as an Adjunct Voice Faculty to several undergraduate students, as well as had the privilege to work as the Assistant Music Director to Jeremy Ryan Mossman for Carthage’s spring production of Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. In the coming school year, Ellenelle will be teaching music in South Carolina for the Department of Defense Education Activity.
