TheAud Theatre was filled with action and hilarity for four days, Nov. 22-25 as Virden and District Choral under the direction of Virden’s renowned Michelle Chyzyk presented Legally Blonde The Musical. As both director and producer, Chyzyk’s reputation for creating powerful musical theatre has drawn in talent from a wide area, including many Brandon musicians and actors. Chyzyk states, “The success of Legally Blonde the Musical was created by so very many individuals that have built our tradition of excellence in the arts over many years for our small community.” She goes on to applaud the volunteers of the Aud Theatre Board and the Cos-

tume Closet, as well as a thriving music and arts festival. Chyzyk is a music teacher within Virden schools and she gives full marks to “solid elementary music programs, administrators that support and value the arts, parents who support their children in artistic experiences... and outstanding local musicians/educators teaching music both privately and in our schools”. Legally Blonde cast didn’t miss a beat in this hilarious show where the blonde beauty grows into much more that she anticipated, earning a place in Harvard Law School and finding that love is more than skin deep. The success the Virden arts scene in general, and this theatre production in particular, enjoys Chyzyk explains, “The volunteers of the Virden and District
Chorale have poured their heart and soul into every aspect of this production.
They believe in developing people, creating community, and taking on a task and
