AAA Keeping the Keys
Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1–2:30 p.m., free with registration through AAA Keeping the Keys is a free workshop designed to help keep senior drivers on the road for as long as safely possible. The presentation is filled with tips and resources for older drivers and their families.
Art Therapy
Saturday, Sept. 5, 10–11:30 a.m., free with registration Class is led by Charlotte, a girl scout on a mission to share art and connection. Class begins with a presentation highlighting benefits of art therapy, followed by a rock painting activity. Participants are invited to paint inspiring designs, uplifting messages, or colorful patterns, encouraging relaxation and self-expression. Offered as part of Charlotte's Girl Scout Gold project.
Senior Theater Group
2nd & 4th Thursdays, Sept. 10–Nov. 19*, 1–3 p.m., free with registration Discover the joy of acting in this fun and welcoming sixweek class! Perfect for beginners as well as those with some theater experience, Senior Theater explores the basics of drama through improvisation, acting exercises, theatre games, and short scenes. Build confidence, spark your creativity, and enjoy plenty of laughter along the way. *November 19 is the 3rd Thursday due to the Thanksgiving closure.
AARP Safe Driver Course
Tuesdays, Sept. 29 & Oct. 1, 9 a.m.–1 p.m., free preregistration required to secure your spot By taking the AARP Smart Driver course, attendees will learn the most current rules of the road, defensive driving techniques, and operating vehicles safely in challenging driving environments. Attendees may be eligible to receive a multi-year auto insurance discount upon completing the course (consult your insurance agent for details). You MUST attend both days to receive your certificate. A fee of $20 for AARP members and $25 for non-members is due in the first class. Bring your AARP membership number for the reduced rate, exact cash or check only.
