Tuesday, Dec. 9, 1–3 p.m., Free, Drop In A medical professional will present practical strategies to reduce fall risks and stay confident in daily movement. Learn how to improve balance, create safer home spaces, and strengthen awareness of surroundings. Hydration will also be discussed as one helpful tool for maintaining alertness. Empower yourself to stay safe, independent, and active.
Understanding AI
Tuesday, Dec. 2, 11 a.m.–12 p.m., Free Curious about artificial intelligence (AI) but not sure where to start? This friendly, hands-on introduction is designed specifically for adults aged 50 and up who want to explore how AI can make life easier, more organized, and more engaging. Please bring your own laptop.
Yoga with Joanne Restorative Yoga
Mondays, Dec. 1–29, 11 a.m.–12 p.m., $70 The class will begin with a breathing meditation and move into gentle Restorative poses. It is for all levels and introduces the benefits of each pose.
Yin Yoga
Thursdays, Dec. 4–18, 11 a.m.–12 p.m., $42 Yin poses are held for 2–5 minutes each and are designed to relax targeted areas, stimulate the dense connective tissue, and promote vitality and resilience.
Yin Yoga–Free Workshop
Sat, Dec. 27, 11 a.m.–12 p.m., Free with Registration Not sure which yoga class is the right fit? Join us for this free Yin workshop to learn more! Class will begin with a breathing meditation and move into Yin yoga poses slowly. You come into a Yin pose designed to target areas, relax the targeted area, and stay in the pose for two to five minutes. Yin poses stimulate the dense connective tissue, promotes tissue strength, vitality, hydration, and resilience.
Digital Skills Class
Wednesday, Dec. 3, 1–2 p.m., Free with Registration Internet safety class for seniors, presented by Spectrum and San Diego Futures Foundation! Spectrum has a longstanding commitment to helping close the digital divide by supporting seniors with the services, devices, and skills needed to get online. This project empowers older adults with essential internet safety knowledge so they can navigate the digital world with confidence and caution. Participants will learn how to spot scams and phishing attempts, create secure passwords, recognize safe websites, and adjust basic privacy settings. The class includes a presentation, guided activities (no device required), Q&A with a technology instructor, and a brief Xumo TV demo. Plus, attendees can enter a giveaway for a chance to win a laptop!
