OUR STORY
In the sunny hills of Abruzzo, Italy, six generations ago, the Carlino family planted the seeds of their culinary legacy. With dedication and love, they cultivated the finest fruits, vegetables, and livestock, crafting timeless recipes that still resonate today. From handcrafted pastas and sauces to freshly baked breads and pastries to exquisite olive oils and balsamics, their creations stood as a testament to tradition and quality.
In the early 1900s, Grandfather Carmine ventured to America, bringing with him the heart and soul of Carlino’s cuisine. Joined by his daughterin-law, the beloved “Mama Carlino,” they opened the first Carlino’s Market in Ardmore, Pa., in the 1980s. What began as a humble storefront blossomed into a culinary haven, renowned for its homemade pastas, sauces and delectable fare.
Today, Carlino’s stands as a beacon of culinary distinction, offering an array of handcrafted, locally sourced and imported delicacies. As our family invites you to partake in the art of cooking and the warmth of tradition, we continue to honor our heritage, celebrating the joy of family and the enduring value of culinary craftsmanship.
TOMATO SAUCE
Carlino’s All-Natural jarred tomato sauces are produced with plum tomatoes, grown in nutrient-rich volcanic soil in Naples, Italy. They are sun-ripened and picked at peak freshness each season. They offer a sweet, robust flavor with lowacidity and contain no added sugar or preservatives. The red and white wine vinegars boast a light and zesty flavor with a high acidity. They are made from Trebbiano grapes simmered in copper pots and aged for 12 years in light oak barrels.
