Viking area welcomes New Year’s Baby for 2026 SUBMITTED
Viking Health Centre Auxiliary members and Viking hospital staff recognized the arrival of the community’s 2026 New Year’s baby on Wednesday evening of Jan. 7. Boe was born weighing six pounds, eight ounces, and is joined by siblings Brody and Kasey. The family received gifts prior to being discharged from hospital. Seated in the front row are the baby’s grandmother, mother Dana O’Shae, father Tyson O’Shae, and sister Kasey. Standing are Viking Health Centre Auxiliary members Karen Coulombe, Bev Baumgartner, Dorothy White, along with nurses Karma and Brooke. This marks the second time Dana O’Shae has been recognized as the mother of Viking’s New Year’s baby. Three years ago, sister Kasey was honoured as the first baby to be born in Viking Health Centre in 2023.
