Obstacles to Pro-Life ARE INCREASING
Since Roe v. Wade was overturned in June of 2022, abortions have increased drastically. The primary driver for this increase is the dramatic rise of the abortion pill. Despite our historic legal victory, the challenges to pro-life work have increased. It is more clear than ever that a new approach is needed.
• Abortions have increased dramatically
• “Telehealth” abortion services and abortion hotlines have popped up everywhere
• State referendums have been passed, allowing for abortion up to birth and possibly infanticide
• Pregnancy centers have been relentlessly subpoenaed and attacked
• The number of Christians and pastors who openly identify as pro-choice has grown
AN IMPORTANT QUESTION REMAINS:
Will we continue to rely on the tools of political power alone to help us solve a spiritual issue, or will we inspire and equip the Church to take the lead so that we can take a transformative approach that embodies a commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission?
God’s Word calls us to:
• protect every human life made in His image, beginning at conception
• build strong, God-honoring families, where mothers and fathers love God, love each other, and love their child
This mission requires a paradigm shift. This Pro Abundant Life approach requires the leadership of pastors and their churches throughout the nation. It is a comprehensive commitment that not only saves the lives of unborn babies from abortion, but supports vulnerable women and men, provides hope and resources to expectant mothers, equips fathers to step into their role, and engages the Church to lead us on this issue.
Moving From Pro-Life TO PRO ABUNDANT LIFE
A Holistic Solution
Traditional pro-life approaches aren’t working. Abortions are up since Roe v. Wade was overturned. The culture is becoming increasingly pro-choice. Accordingly, a Pro Abundant Life approach is needed that combines public education to change the narrative, and Christ-centered ministry that is focused on saving lives, building families, and making disciples for Jesus.

As Pro Abundant Life people, we will celebrate and encourage marriage, whenever possible for those facing unplanned pregnancies, as the ideal environment to raise thriving children, and as the environment in which parents are least likely to choose abortion.
FATHERHOOD
Having fathers involved — during pregnancy and throughout a child’s life — is essential to providing that child with the best chance to thrive. Care Net celebrates and encourages father involvement during pregnancy decisions and throughout their children’s lives.
THE CHURCH
The key to ending abortion is the Church offering compassion, hope, help, and discipleship to women and men facing unplanned pregnancies.
Caring for women and men facing unplanned pregnancies – or in need of healing from a past abortion – is an opportunity for the Church to be the hands and feet of Christ in carrying out the Great Commandment (love your neighbor) in order to fulfill the Great Commission (make disciples).

PREGNANCY IS A PROFOUND MIRACLE
One that points to a loving Creator. Each life is intentionally created in God’s image from the moment of conception. Every child is known and cherished by Him. While laws and public advocacy play an important role in protecting life, abortion is ultimately a matter of the heart. Only the transforming power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ can truly change hearts. When a heart is renewed by Christ, hope replaces fear and life is seen as the gift it is.

is Care Net’s national hotline that provides immediate pregnancy decision coaching and referrals to women and men at risk for abortion. It provides “emergency care” at a time when the wide availability of the abortion pill has put many more mothers and unborn babies at risk. PDL helps mothers and fathers by giving the information and coaching on all the options available to them, allowing them to make a fully informed decision about their unplanned, unexpected, or unexpectedly complicated pregnancy.
