Created and Performed by Carlos García Estévez MASKS Den Durand Donato Sartori ABOUT MANIFESTO POETICO Directed by Carlos García Estévez and Paige Allerton, Manifesto Poetico makes theatre where the abstraction of space, spirit of imagination, and essence of the collective are the basis of storytelling and emotional communication. They have developed a way of composing theatre that uses what we called SPATIAL DRAMATURGY. They seek a constant creation of theatrical languages incorporating artistic and scienti c disciplines as well as multi-cultural in uences in order to make popular contemporary theatre that brings the language of the streets to the stage. They propose theatre for and with the people. Manifesto Poetico puts this into practice in its original TransPoetico Productions and in their research and pedagogic work with The Laboratory. CARLOS GARCÍA ESTÉVEZ is an acclaimed international artist born in Spain. Founder of Manifesto Poetico Theatre Laboratory. With 25 years of global research and productions, he is a versatile actor, stage director, theatre researcher, and pedagogue. Specializing in Contemporary Commedia dell’Arte and mask performance, he has left an indelible mark in over 20 countries and 45 universities, showcasing multi-style mis-en-scene and contemporary devised theatre. Carlos reimagines traditionalpopular theatre, resulting in audience-enrapturing performances. Together with co-artistic director Paige Allerton, Carlos’ recent creations span the globe, from Kuala Lumpur to Belfast, re ecting his commitment to diverse and innovative productions.
