The eighth annual Family and Friends Christmas event was held at Adams Enterprises in Jackson on Dec. 20. The festivities included food, music, Louisiana Sneaux and more along with the Grinch, Santa, Frosty the Snowman and three generations of Adamses spreading Christmas cheer. At the site of the familiar family-owned businesses on La. 10 in Jackson, a special kind of fun, Louisiana Sneaux, kicked off the fun for the children and teens. They frolicked with other friends and family in the white stuff. It was made of lots of miniature and mild bubbles. As the pile popped and shrunk,
it was quickly replaced with a whole new mound. Children received a colorful, knit caps and coloring book with crayons. Refreshments of hot dogs, popcorn, soft drinks and oranges were on hand for everyone. An area was set up for families to pose for pictures with Santa, Frosty and the Grinch. Eight families were picked in a drawing to win S’mores makers along with the needed marshmallows, graham crackers and chocolate. The synchronized Christmas music with the lights by Patrick Doyle added to the fun atmosphere. The event was sponsored by Rep. Roy Daryl Adams and family and East Feliciana Parish School board member Jermi Roy Adams and family.
