Bridal slip holds decades of memories for a Metairie family
“I went shopping for the slip and the one I found was $65,” Babin said. “When I got home, I told Jennifer that there was no way I was paying that much for something she would only wear one time.” Jump ahead one year, and something unexpected happened. “I was coming back home after the grocery store and saw my neighbor having a garage sale,” Babin recalled. “I walked over with my groceries to see what she was selling, and before too long, I spotted the same slip I had seen in 1987.
