The Very First Step: An Interview with Vanilla Ice

Looking back to the very beginning of My Tattoo Inc., the first article holds a special place in our journey. It was an exclusive phone interview with none other than Vanilla Ice — a moment that set the tone for our magazine’s bold and unique spirit.

This connection came about through my business coach at the time, Mr. JT Foxx from the US, who introduced me to Vanilla Ice. From our very first conversation, Mr. Ice was not only cool but genuinely kind and supportive. He embraced the concept of the world’s first FREE digital tattoo magazine with enthusiasm and warmth, showing a real passion for innovation and creativity.

That initial interview was more than just a feature — it was a milestone that inspired us to keep pushing boundaries and connecting with incredible personalities who share our love for tattoo culture. Vanilla Ice’s openness and encouragement helped shape the heart of My Tattoo Inc. and remind us that great things start with genuine conversations. The first edition is still available online and can be found on Issuu.com.

A Legendary Ink Journey: Tattoo Ole of Nyhavn

In the vibrant heart of Copenhagen’s historic Nyhavn district stands a true icon of tattoo culture — Tattoo Ole, the proud owner of the oldest tattoo parlor in the area. Our interview with Tattoo Ole, featured in the second edition of My Tattoo Inc., offers an intimate glimpse into her remarkable journey, deep-rooted passion, and the timeless legacy she has built through decades of ink and artistry.

Tattoo Ole’s story is one of dedication, resilience, and an unwavering love for the craft. Her parlor is not just a place to get tattooed — it’s a sanctuary of tradition and innovation, where every needle stroke tells a story that connects the past with the present.

Adding a thrilling dimension to this edition, the article was uniquely covered by none other than Robert LaSardo, the celebrated Hollywood horror actor known for his distinctive tattoos and compelling screen presence. His perspective brought a fascinating blend of cinematic edge and genuine admiration for Tattoo Ole’s pioneering spirit.

This feature captures the essence of tattooing as both art and culture a living testament to the people who shape its history and inspire its future.

Italy Before the Storm: Milano Tattoo

The third edition of My Tattoo Inc. holds a special place in our hearts, capturing a vibrant moment in Italy just before the world changed forever. Our founder, Carsten Augustenborg, along with the dedicated My Tattoo Inc. team, had the incredible opportunity to visit the Milano Tattoo Convention — a gathering that, as always, was nothing short of brilliant.

Italy, a country renowned for its rich art, culture, and passionate tattoo community, was about to face one of its toughest challenges during the corona pandemic. Yet, during the convention, there was a palpable energy and unity among artists and enthusiasts alike, a celebration of creativity and resilience.

At that time, none of us could foresee what the coming months would bring. This edition stands as a tribute to the strength and spirit of the Italian tattoo scene, a reminder of the moments of joy and connection before the world paused.

Through stunning artwork, inspiring stories, and unforgettable encounters, this issue honors Milano’s vibrant tattoo culture and the hope that art always brings, even in the darkest times.
