White Haven Volunteer Fire Co. celebrates Fire Prevention Week
DOG-GONE CUTE: More than two dozen dogs attended the Dog Costume Party on Main Street in White Haven on Saturday (a few left before the photo was taken). All received treat bags courtesy of Beastie Treat Pet Supplies, and enjoyed a social of sniffing and scritching. JH: Ruth Isenberg
MORE THAN JUST FIRES—White Haven Volunteer Fire Company held an open house on Sunday afternoon, and invited other groups that deal with emergency situations to take part. From left, Sparky welcomed everyone to enjoy refreshments in the fire house; White Haven police officer Joanna Jinks talks about police responses; kids explore a White Haven Ambulance unit. The Boy Scouts showed off their equipment trailer, there were crafts and refreshments, and a chance to practice escaping from a smoke-filled house. JH: RI
