Police in favour of truck trains

While Delta has received some push back on a pilot project that would see longer trucks travel between Deltaport and Tilbury, members of the Delta police department have come out in support of the idea. In August, civic politicians endorsed a pilot project with Maersk Distribution that would
see the company operate extended length trucks between its River Road facility and the container port at Roberts Bank. The trucks, which are known as truck trains, are combination vehicles consisting of a tractor and two trailers that measure approximately 35 metres in length. Special Const.
