At Graham Health System, our mission has always been to provide compassionate, quality healthcare, in a responsible and charitable manner, to the people and communities we serve. As we continue to grow and expand our services across Central and Western Illinois- specifically in Fulton, Knox, McDonough, Mason, and Peoria Counties- our commitment to improving community health and creating opportunity is stronger than ever.
With continued growth in Fulton, Knox, McDonough, Mason and Peoria Counties, Graham Health System is now approaching 1,000 employees throughout the region. We continue to hire professionals (both clinical & non-clinical) to support the ongoing needs of the health system. The Graham Hospital School of Nursing has successfully converted to the Graham Hospital College of Nursing completing its accreditation visit in March of this year. A student can now go to Spoon River College or Carl Sandberg College for their initial 2 years of college, transfer to Graham’s College of Nursing for an additional 2 years, and have a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. Participants in the Graham Scholarship program can achieve this degree with little to no school debt and earn a competitive salary in a very rewarding career.
Canton: The Graham Hospital Foundation recently purchased the previous JC Penny’s building at Fulton Square. Once renovated, the facility will feature a 16,000 square foot Event Center, named “The 1909”. The space will be open to the public to host events of up to 400 people. Work is underway to bring a variety of events and entertainment to the Center. Additional space will also be available for lease to help bring new businesses to the area.
Galesburg: Graham Health System will open its first Ambulatory Surgery Center later this year. The outpatient surgery center is the final phase of development on the campus at 2028 N. Seminary in Galesburg IL. This facility will bring a variety of much needed surgeries to the area, allowing patients to receive the care they need close to home.
Macomb: Growth continues in the Macomb market with the addition of a second clinic on the western edge of Macomb (1701 West Jackson) to allow for additional Primary Care and Convenient Care options, as well as Wound Care. This clinic is scheduled to open in Summer of 2026.
The expansion of Graham Health System outside of Canton (Macomb, Galesburg, Glasford, Williamsfield & Elmwood) has driven growth within Canton itself. The more patients we care for regionally, the more people (potential customers) are coming to Canton to shop the Square, grab groceries, eat out at a local restaurant, drive through the new car dealer’s lot, or to stop at Wal-Mart. Although Canton is a single zip code (61520) Graham attracts patients on an annual basis from over 400 other distinct zip codes to Canton.
