MARCH 2026 EDITION

Each month we will be asking an employee to tell us some fun things about themselves! This month's publication spotlight is Dionne Dillabaugh
Ifyouwouldliketobefeatured, pleasefilloutthisform:

Our project team is currently working on Recruitment and Onboarding within UKG Ready. Soon, employees will be able to apply for internal jobs through UKG. We are currently on track to complete building Recruiting and Onboarding to go live in the coming months, with our new Learning platform to be built shortly after.
Until we officially go live with payroll in UKG Ready, please continue submitting all time off and vacation requests through ADP ADP remains our active system for payroll and time tracking at this time We will clearly communicate when that transition takes place

Last month we shared that we’re planning to launch the Cantiro Workplace Network, a cross-functional forum designed to strengthen collaboration and internal community across the organization We are moving forward with planning and prepping for the first pilot session. The goal of this initiative is to bring employees from different areas of the business together to share perspectives, learn how the way we work is evolving across teams, and build stronger connections.
We are preparing to schedule the first group shortly, with details to be shared with managers of selected participants. These facilitated, learning-focused sessions will explore how we work today and surface insights to support stronger cross-functional collaboration.
More updates will be shared as we get closer to the first sessions taking place.

Renovation work is underway across several areas of the building as part of ongoing system upgrades and improvements. Here’s a quick snapshot of what’s happening and what you may notice day to day.
Elevator upgrades with new cab installations (first cab expected by late April; work continues through June)
Renovations on Levels 4 & 5, including drywall and concrete work (through end of June)
Level 2 construction ( 2,500 sq. ft.), underway now with completion expected by late June
Shopfront renovations beginning mid‐April
Lobby upgrades continuing into the summer
Thank you for your patience as we make these long-term improvements
Construction in an occupied building is very noticeable at times. Noise levels will change depending on the work underway and may include drilling, chipping, or intermittent activity that carries beyond the immediate work area. Some days will be quieter than others. Earplugs are available for those who find noise disruptive
Because construction schedules can shift, it isn’t always possible to predict noise timing. When we have advance notice such as planned power shutdowns or major transitions we’ll share updates ahead of time.
Recently, Cantiro proudly served as a sponsor of the Mental Health Foundation’s Annual Fundraising Breakfast. This breakfast brings together community leaders, advocates, and organizations committed to improving mental health support across Alberta.
The event’s theme, “We All Know Someone,” reflects a reality many families experience. According to the Mental Health Foundation, one in five Albertans lives with mental illness or addiction, making access to care, support, and understanding more important than ever.
Events like the Mental Health Foundation Breakfast help raise awareness, encourage open conversations, and strengthen the services that support individuals and families across our province For Cantiro, supporting initiatives like this reflect a continued commitment to building better communities, today and for generations to come

When we think about safety, it’s easy to picture policies, procedures, and inspections. Those things matter, they set the standard and help guide how we work. But the real strength of a safety culture shows up in the moments when no one is watching.
It’s the decision to slow down when driving through a site, knowing that workers, equipment, and families in nearby communities rely on that extra caution It’s taking an extra minute to secure materials before leaving for the day, even when the schedule is tight It’s noticing when a coworker seems tired or distracted and checking in to make sure they’re okay
Safety also means trusting your instincts and speaking up when something doesn’t feel right A quick conversation or a simple pause can prevent an incident and protect the people around us Every day, across our sites, show homes, and offices, these small choices add up. They reflect the pride we take in our work and the respect we have for one another.
At the end of the day, safety isn’t just about the rules we follow, it’s about the care we show for our teammates and the responsibility we carry to make sure everyone goes home safe. And often, the actions that make the biggest difference are the ones taken quietly, when no one is watching.

On February 28 , a group of volunteers gathered at Sacred Heart Catholic Church of the First Peoples Courtyard The day was overcast with an average temperature of -28 degrees celsius These compassionate volunteers gave their time and endured the cold to serve food to the less fortunate
th Your next opportunity to join this worthy cause is on May 23 - everyone is welcome rd Contact Maria at mdaza@cantiro ca to learn more

We would like to continue to ask employees to help us to continue to evolve this monthly publication. This will create a sustainable platform for us to share and explore our experiences for others to learn and celebrate our culture code
