Summer 2024-25 another successful season!
A huge thank you to everyone involved –players, coaches, team managers, parents, guardians, and everyone who played a part. It truly takes a village, and there is nothing quite like junior sport to bring a community together We saw this throughout the season in so many ways: players helping out other clubs on and off the court, our teams being awarded Good Sports recognitions by the League, and even the simple acts of offering lifts to and from games.
Thank you all for your continued support and dedication. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Congratulations to Shannon Monagle for being recognised with the Perpetual Graham Hubbard Coaches Award!
Coaching three of his four children’s basketball teams (that’s three sets of training and three games each week!) while working full time and volunteering his time is no small feat. His dedication, patience, and kindness have been remarkable, and he has shown incredible commitment to both the players, parents and our community club.
Thank you, Shannon, for your hard work, passion, and unwavering support of our players here at Canterbury Cougars.

A big thank you to all the parents and siblings who’ve put their hand up to coach this Winter Season and a warm welcome to the many new coaches joining our Club!
We still have a few teams in need of a coach, so if you ’ re interested in getting involved, we’d love to hear from you.
Paid roles are available.
Can you, or someone you know, help out?

Unfortunately, due to major refurbishments at Camberwell Girls Grammar, we ’ ve lost a few hours of training venue availability this season
As a result, your team’s training time may have changed from last season as we work to accommodate all teams.
The good news is we ’ ve secured Friday afternoons at Canterbury Girls Secondary College (4–9pm). If your team currently trains Monday to Thursday and is able to move to a Friday slot, we’d really appreciate the flexibility it would be a huge help!
YES, I’D LIKE TO HELP!
