THE GREEN-GO DECT WIRELESS SYSTEM

The Green-GO DECT wireless devices operate in the 1.9GHz band which is license-free in Europe, Japan and the USA. Operation is full duplex, with clear audio quality, low latency and robust RF coverage. Call-alert and control signals are transmitted between Green-GO wired and wireless devices.
With a similar feature set to their wired counterparts, DECT beltpacks can access the same 32 channels, 250 groups, and 3000 users that wired user stations access.

GREEN-GO APPS ON ANDROID AND IOS
Green-GO Control Remote and Talk applications are now available on Android devices alongside iOS. Both apps on both platforms are currently available for free and can be utilised in conjunction with a Green-GO intercom system which is operating on Version 5 software.
GREEN-GO CONTROL REMOTE
The Control Remote application can be used to access the Green-GO Version 5 software from a secondary device.
When there is a version of Green-GO Control Version 5 running on the network, Control Remote will automatically connect to it and display the interface.
Everything that can be done in the software can now be accessed through the app.
Security is provided via separate, user definable Config and Admin passwords.
• Config: Allows access to join the password protected config.
• Admin: Allows access to amend the password protected config.
GREEN-GO TALK
The Green-Go Talk application allows a phone or tablet to become a communicable part of a Green-GO Version 5 intercom system.
Per bridge interface, up to four connections can be made over local Wi-Fi and/or wider IPv4 networks from anywhere around the world.
For external connections, “in-over” NAT ruling is typically required to allow connections through the network’s gateway to the bridge interface.

The US leg Tori Amos’s Ocean to Ocean tour kicked off in West Palm Beach, Florida in June 2023 with a fresh and eclectic setlist, ready to rouse fans across the States. The crew that joined the US leg were armed with an array of Green-GO Digital intercom products as a clear, rock-solid system.
At the heart of the setup was a GreenGO DanteX Interface, which directly converts digital audio streams from Dante to Green-GO and vice-versa without loss of quality.
“The Green-GO DanteX Interface was key to our system,” says Alex Penn, Commercial Director at UK-based 22Live, which supplied a complete
audio system for the Ocean to Ocean tour in both Europe and the US. “The tour was already using an extensive Dante network that covered many jobs including the PA returns, and shared stage racks for both the FOH and Monitor mixing consoles.
“Utilising the DanteX Interface enabled the comms to be seen by the desks, which in turn meant that the comms can be routed either to IEM packs on stage which are also used by the crew in prep and also sent to the loudspeakers if so desired as a shout style system.”
The crew were kitted out with 6 Green-GO Beltpack X units, allowing communication over 32 available
channels, a program audio channel, and an extra channel for direct user communication. Through this, the team can talk to multiple groups or directly – and privately – to other users. Two Green-GO Beacon call indicator units were located with Miles Barton, PA and FOH System Technician, and Andy Yates, Stage, and Monitor technician, which light up when receiving comms from other key team members, allowing them to direct a reply to the designated group in the venue. All Green-GO products were supplied to the tour by 22Live, sourced from Green-GO’s exclusive UK and Ireland distributor, Canford Audio Ltd.
“We like Green-GO because the kit is fast becoming standard and widely used, which makes it a known quantity to many, and also enables easy to sub hire additions if required,” adds Penn. “They are good value for money, reliable and flexible.”
System tech for the tour, Miles Barton, comments: “The addition of the GreenGO comms system to the 2023 Ocean
to Ocean tour has been another upgrade which has allowed us to push the boundaries of what we’re doing further forwards. Comms are a small part of the overall package but it has made a big difference to us on the tour with us now sharing a system between sound, light, and stage, enabling further improvement to our day-to-day service to the tour.”
Tori Amos’s Ocean to Ocean tour meandered through the entire United States during June and July 2023, visiting cities including Seattle, San Francisco, and St Louis.

Does Green-GO have a central matrix like most other systems?
No, Green-GO works on a decentralised workflow which means the smallest system comprises of 2 wired beltpacks and a PoE switch, scaling up and adapting from there to suit requirements.
Is there a way to program the system offline?
Yes, Green-GO Control software offers a comprehensive and visual way to program your system both off and online.
How do I pair a wireless belt pack to an antenna?
There are two ways to pair beltpacks to antennas, “OTA” both devices are put into a pairing mode and connect wirelessly. “Pools” Devices are connected to a computer and configured using the control software, Pools also allows for beltpacks to “roam” between multiple antenna placements.
How do I update the firmware of devices?
All devices are updated via the control software, ethernet devices should be found in the “network tab” and wireless beltpacks should be under the “USB” tab once connected to the computer via USB.
Can I put Green-GO on my own IT network and does is need special switches?
Green-GO will sit comfortably on most networks with consideration for bandwidth and QoS where necessary. Green-GO’s PoE switches offer a very reliable AV orientated option.
