Broadcasting UEFA Euro 2020 required a highly coordinated infrastructure spanning multiple countries, venues, and broadcast facilities. Working in partnership with Gravity Media, Canford supplied custom termination panels, equipment racks, fibre connectivity, and wall box connection plates used throughout stadiums and Technical Operation Centres (TOCs).
Gravity Media deployed eleven TOCs across nine European countries, acting as critical signal hubs between stadiums and the International Broadcast Centre. Every broadcast signal passed through these centres – and through Canford’s custom termination panels – ensuring reliable signal distribution to global broadcast partners.
Canford’s engineering and manufacturing teams worked closely with Gravity Media to design and produce robust, fully welded equipment racks and bespoke connectivity solutions. These transport-ready racks protected sensitive broadcast equipment during international transit while enabling rapid installation and termination on site.
In addition to rack infrastructure, Canford supplied stadium wall box connection plates, termination panels, and deployable SMPTE fibre connectivity – forming a critical part of the broadcast infrastructure used to capture and deliver live UHD video and audio feeds.
The scale of the deployment reflected the complexity of the tournament, with thousands of broadcast connections and extensive cabling installed to support 51 matches delivered to more than 200 territories and a global audience of approximately 4.7 billion viewers.
The Result:
Canford’s custom-engineered infrastructure enabled fast deployment, reliable signal management, and seamless integration across multiple international broadcast environments. The tournament was delivered successfully without a single TOC-related on-air glitch, demonstrating the reliability and performance required for mission-critical stadium broadcast infrastructure.

The LANDE ES455 Series IP55 wall cabinets provide secure, space-efficient housing for network and broadcast equipment in stadium technical areas. With sealed steel construction, gasket-protected doors, and IK10 impact resistance, they protect against dust, water, and tampering while ensuring reliable operation. Available in multiple sizes, they support flexible installation across concourses, control rooms, and service areas.


Both sides feature square ventilation apertures with fan filters, protected by plastic covers, and support user-supplied 120mm fans. The roof has a louvered cover that can be raised for exhaust airflow, also fitted with fan filters and compatible with optional fan modules.
The LANDE ES362 Series floor-standing cabinets provide secure, high-capacity housing for stadium broadcast and network equipment. Featuring a durable steel frame, lockable front and rear doors, and adjustable mounting profiles, they support flexible installation and cable management. This range of video jackfields feature the innovative microMUSA panel connector, developed exclusively for Canford by Coax Connectors. Engineered to exceed 4k performance standards, they deliver exceptional signal quality while maximizing panel space, with up to two rows of 48 connectors in a compact 1U format. Each connector includes a unique positive location feature (“detent”), giving tactile feedback when a U-link or patchcord is fully inserted. This not only ensures a secure connection, but also provides resistance to vibration, making it ideal for demanding environments such as outside broadcast (OB) vehicles.
While built to the same high standards as our renowned 3G MUSA connectors, this microMUSA range offers a new level of performance and density and is not compatible with the existing Canford 3G MUSA system.

These industry-standard hybrid fibre HD camera breakout assemblies use LEMO SMPTE304 connectors and are available in various configurations. The rugged LEMO 3K.93C stainless steel connectors feature the reliable push-pull latching system and are rated for up to 20,000 mating cycles. With proper care and cleaning, the fibre contacts can also achieve this level of durability.
All opticalCON ADVANCED cable connectors feature a protective rubber coating, integrated anti-kink strain relief, and a metal latching cap secured with a steel lanyard.
ADVANCED DUO/QUAD: Two or four-fibre lightweight mobile field cables with a tough PUR jacket and strong aramid yarn reinforcement for excellent cable retention. Available in multimode (2M/4M) or singlemode (2S/4S).

Designed to MIL-DTL-83526 specification, these connectors are built to withstand the toughest environments, from touring to large-scale festivals. They offer exceptional reliability with reduced sensitivity to dust and contaminants, alongside the convenience of hermaphroditic mating for fast setup. Maintenance is simple with easy on-site cleaning, and both singlemode and multimode versions are available. For tailored solutions, custom cable assemblies can also be supplied.





These HMA cable breakout assemblies use Fibreco Junior expanded beam cable connectors and are offered in a variety of lengths to ST, SC and LC fibre connections. The Junior expanded beam connector offers high performance and are available in either two or four channel Multimode or Singlemode versions.

This cable delivers dependable analogue and digital audio transmission for permanent stadium installations. It has 0.5mm² conductors for applications where lower losses are required, or where DC currents may be carried over extended distances. Its foil-screened construction protects signal integrity, while the low fire hazard (LFH) jacket reduces smoke and toxic emissions in enclosed public environments. Suitable for microphone, line-level, and AES/EBU signals, it supports safe, compliant infrastructure deployment.

The FQJ-LFH starquad multicore cable is designed for high-performance stadium audio installations, delivering excellent noise rejection and signal integrity over long distances. Individually jacketed, foil-screened cores and a low smoke zero halogen outer sheath ensure reliable performance, improved safety, and compliance in public venue environments.
Canford’s FSM-LFH multipair cable enables efficient routing of multiple audio circuits within stadiums. Foil-screened twisted pairs protect against interference, while 100-ohm impedance supports both analogue and AES/EBU digital signals. Its low fire hazard construction reduces smoke and toxic emissions, making it ideal for safe installations in public venues.



The Canford coaxial cables are designed for reliable transmission of 4K and 12G-SDI video signals in permanent stadium installations. Its 75-ohm construction ensures consistent broadcast performance, while the low smoke zero halogen jacket improves safety in public environments and reduces smoke and toxic emissions. It is available in 0.7/2.9 construction, 1.2/4.9 low-loss construction, and 1.6/7.3 ultra-low-loss construction.
Gravity Media required a robust, flexible broadcast infrastructure to support live production across multiple major international stadiums. One key project involved upgrading the technical facilities at the Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar, a 40,000-capacity venue and home of the Qatar national football team.
As a multi-purpose stadium hosting both football and athletics, connection points needed to be carefully positioned to support flexible rigging, varied camera locations, and rapidly changing broadcast requirements. Gravity Media required a permanent, high-capacity system that would allow broadcasters to connect easily from multiple pitch-side and technical positions.

The scale of the installation was significant, requiring 51 custom wall box connection points and over 131km of












These modules, part of the Yellobrik range manufactured by Lynx Technik, provide flexible, broadcast-grade solutions for extending and converting video, audio, Ethernet, and control signals over fibre infrastructure. Supporting transmission distances from 10km up to 50km, these compact modules overcome the distance limitations of copper cabling while maintaining signal integrity and reliability. The range includes fibre extenders for Ethernet, serial data, GPI, SDI video, analogue signals, and MADI audio, as well as HDMI/SDI converters and high-capacity 12G-SDI fibre transmission systems. These solutions enable seamless integration between fibre networks and conventional broadcast equipment, supporting modern UHD and IP-based workflows.
Using advanced optical technologies such as CWDM multiplexing, multiple signals can be transported over a single fibre link, improving infrastructure efficiency and scalability while reducing cabling requirements.
Compact and modular, Yellobrik units can be deployed individually or rack-mounted, making them ideal for stadium technical rooms, broadcast compounds, camera positions, and signal distribution points where reliable, long-distance connectivity is essential.

Following the success of this installation, Gravity Media extended the infrastructure rollout to additional tournament venues, including the 60,000-capacity Al Bayt Stadium, and the Al Rayyan Stadium and Al Thumama Stadium, each with capacities of 40,000.
Canford worked closely with Gravity Media to design and manufacture bespoke connectivity infrastructure tailored to the operational demands of modern stadium broadcast systems.

Working alongside integrators such as Axians (Cegelec) and PHF, we have delivered broadcast camera infrastructure for three major stadium projects across Morocco. Our scope included professional broadcast cabling, weatherproof connection boxes for pitch-side and stadium camera points, and rack systems with fully configured panels for the OB truck interface.
These installations supported the infrastructure for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco – the 35th edition of Africa’s premier international football tournament, held from December 2025 to January 2026. The tournament also served as a key operational test for the upcoming 2030 FIFA World Cup, which Morocco will co-host with Spain and Portugal.
Through these projects, Canford demonstrated its ability to deliver reliable, broadcast-ready connectivity solutions tailored to the unique demands of modern stadium environments.

The renovation of Stade de la Meinau represents one of the most ambitious stadium modernisation projects in France. Home to RC Strasbourg Alsace, the historic venue is undergoing a major redevelopment designed to enhance fan experience, sustainability, and operational performance for top-tier European football.
Led by global stadium architects Populous, the €100m+ project will increase the stadium’s capacity from around 26,000 to approximately 32,000 seats, modernising the venue to meet the demands of contemporary competitions and international events.
A major highlight of the design is the striking new South Stand, which incorporates upcycled Airbus A340 fuselage sections to create a unique façade and sun-shading system, which is an innovative example of sustainable stadium architecture.
Modern stadiums require robust broadcast infrastructure capable of supporting high-definition live production, international distribution, and flexible camera positions across the venue.
As part of the stadium upgrade, reliable connectivity was required to support broadcast camera points and technical areas throughout the facility, ensuring seamless integration with outside broadcast (OB) operations and matchday production workflows.


Canford supplied key components of the stadium’s broadcast systems, including:
• Broadcast-grade SMPTE hybrid fibre camera cables – for high-performance camera signal transport.
• Foil-screened multipair audio cable (FSM-LFH) – enabling high-integrity, low-interference digital and analogue audio distribution throughout the venue, with low smoke zero halogen construction to meet stringent safety requirements for large-scale public infrastructure.
