Candlelighters For Children With Cancer publishes Candlelighters FAMILY Connections six times a year to provide news and other information to families affected by cancer in Oregon and SW Washington.

“Dances With No Shoes On!” musical performance. The SUPERHERO 5k Run/Walk is about community, fitness, and purpose. Form a team or make an impact by fundraising to help support Candlelighters For Children With Cancer programs and services.

Come and join us for a Family BBQ at Gabriel Park! Candlelighters will provide all of the food, and we want you to be there to have all of the fun! Our BBQ lunch will include burgers, hotdogs, sides, drinks and dessert! Lunch will be served starting at noon. We will also have games available to play on the lawn as well as having access to all of the great features Gabriel Park has to offer.

Relay for Life July 14 – 6pm + July 15 – 10am Willamalane Center in Springfield 250 S 32nd Street We will walk the Survivors Lap together and be treated to a pizza dinner courtesy of Tri Delta alumnae group. Register in advance at www.esrfl.org. Everyone must be registered to get into the event. Please register in advance and as soon as possible to be sure kids get their Survivor shirt.

Fishing on the McKenzie River Families registered will meet at Hendricks Bridge Wayside at 7:00am to shuttle to Deerhorn Landing for breakfast. Following breakfast, we will board the boats to fish on the McKenzie River. We will begin the day with a warm breakfast, then spend our day on the river catching fish. Fishing day is full as of now, but contact Mary Lou at mloubradley@ comcast.net to get your name on the wait list!

27th Annual Corvette Weekend Riverside Park Grants Pass One of our biggest sponsors, Southern Oregon Corvette Association, invites us to their super fun exhibition day with some of America’s best sports cars...CORVETTES. If you’ve never gone...please come at 9 a.m. to Riverside Park in Grants Pass and vote on your favorite car and then we will be treated to a pizza lunch. This Saturday event ends with a prize auction (your beautiful kids will help show off the goods). Our Corvette friends donate enough funds so that our families can be blessed throughout the year with parties and help with travel expenses so please let’s show up and let them know how much we appreciate their help!

Central Oregon Family BBQ Come join us for a family BBQ on a beautiful, private residence on the Little Deschutes River on August 19th! Activities include: • Yard games (Corn horn, life size Yahtzee, etc.) • Marshmallow shooters (highlight for kids last year!) • Floating a section of the Lazy River (inter-tubes, stand up paddle board, inflatable boats, etc., life jackets provided) • Relaxing with friends and family
