SERVICES We are conveniently located between Downtown Commercial and Downtown West End. Our clinic is just two-minutes’ walk from Calgary Transit LRT. We are on Plus 15 in First Alberta Place. How do I make an appointment? It’s easy to make an appointment with us. Use the calendar on this page to select a day and time. You need to book one slot for each person travelling. Or you can call us up and book by phone on +1 888 672 0005. Don’t delay: book an appointment today. We recommend that you come and see us six to eight weeks before you travel to ensure the best immunity for the start of your trip. This also allows time for us to administer shots that require two or three
doses. But if you’re travelling last-minute, we can offer sameday slots and accelerated schedules.
WHAT WE OFFER Our branch in Calgary Downtown is a travel health clinic offering consultations and immunizations that will help you to avoid common illnesses during your trip abroad. We can also help with catch-up vaccines and shots that protect you from dangerous illnesses that you might be exposed to during dayto-day life in Canada. We provide a full range of travel shots and we can offer malaria prophylaxis, too. Our Calgary clinic is a designated yellow fever vaccination centre, so we can provide you with a yellow fever certificate.
Health advice for business travelers First Alberta Place is on Plus 15. This means you can have your travel health consultation without walking in the cold or wet if you work on or near the skyway. We can offer appointments at the start or end of the working day to reduce the amount of time you spend away from your
desk. Our central location means it’s easy to reach us, and we minimize our waiting times for appointments, so you don’t waste time sitting in the waiting room. Your travel health nurse will tailor their advice to your line of work to ensure they assess all the risks to which you might be exposed. Whether you are an office worker, in construction, agriculture, forestry or an aid worker, our travel health advisers can provide tailored advice.
TRAVELLERS WITH SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS We can offer longer appointments to travellers with complex needs. Just ask when you book. Examples include: ❖ If you are in an altered state of health because you are pregnant or breastfeeding, you may have more questions about staying well during your trip. ❖ If you are planning a longer trip (more than three months) with more than three destinations. ❖ If you are living with a long-term condition. HOW MUCH WILL MY TRAVEL HEALTH REGIME COST?
We can provide the full range of normal travel shots and travel health certificates at our clinic. We can also provide catch-up shots. We publish our price list and we offer destination guides so you can get an idea of what you might need. But our travel health nurses will use professional sources of up-to-date information to recommend an appropriate regime that gives as much protection as you need. They may recommend combined shots that could be less expensive than two separate vaccinations. We do not charge extra for administrating injections, and there is no dispensing fee either.
