Sharing Circle Questions Indigenous Youth Reconciliation Barometer 2024

Soft Launch Sharing Circle Questions 1. As an Indigenous youth, what makes you feel empowered or supported? 2. What about certain spaces makes you feel comfortable to be empowered? 3. What makes you feel connected to your community? 4. Thinking about the path you want to lead through life and the goals you have, what barriers are in your way? 5. What does “meaningful work” look like to you? What kind of impact would you like to see from your work (personal, community, in the world)? Is it possible to have a “good job” and what does that mean? 6. What would you like to hear other Indigenous youth talk about when it comes to their futures? 7. Is there anything else you’d like to share? Is there anything else you wish we would have touched on?

Core Sharing Circle Questions Personal and Community Empowerment 1. What does community mean or look like to you? 2. What makes you feel connected to your community? (This could be things like going out on the land, participating in ceremony, spending time with Elders, creating art, as examples.) 3. What would you like the community or communities you are part of to look like in the future? (think about 5-10 years from now) 4. Think about what you envision and want for your future, your family, and your community. What goals do you have? 5. What inspires you? 6. What kind of barriers are in your way to achieving your goals? 7. What kind of support or resources do you need to achieve your goals? (e.g., support from your peers or community
