Heisasecond-yearstudentstudyingMathematicsand Computer Science at Université de Montréal, originally fromMorocco.Drawntofieldsthatchallengebothlogic and creativity, he chose this program for the strong analytical and technical foundations it provides Problem-solving, building systems, and understanding how things work both mathematically and computationally—are what motivate him most in his studies. His decision to come to Canada was driven by thecountry’sstrongeducationsystem,andMontrealin particular stood out for its academic reputation, cultural diversity, and vibrant student life. Moving abroad was a big step, but one he embraced as an opportunity to grow not only academically, but also personally.LivinginMontrealhasexposedhimtoawide rangeofperspectivesandexperiences,makingthecity feeldynamic,welcoming,andfullofopportunity.
Sincearriving,hisexperiencehasbeenintenseyetdeeply rewarding. The academic pace is demanding, but it has pushed him to become more disciplined, independent, and consistent in his daily life. Living at Campus1 has played a big role in shaping this experience it offers a convenient and social environment where meeting people from different backgrounds happens naturally. Some of his favorite moments have come from the connections he’s made there, which made the experiencefeellikemorethanjuststudyingabroad.What stands out most to him about life in Montreal is the balance it offers: a strong academic focus paired with a rich social and cultural scene. Being far from home has taught him the importance of structure, resilience, and showingupconsistentlyforhisgoals.
